Great and understandable explanation! We need more stuff like this, demystifying ski binding setups and fixes

I'm trying to prevent the back part of the binding from turning accidentally when I climb, it happens regularly and it's very annoying. What screw should I tighten to prevent that?

Hi, if the pins touch the rubber of the ski boot but does not create problems with the coupling of the boot, can it be left like this? Or can it be a problem in future? I have the same problem but i can insert the boots anyway

Hey Jocopo, you want to make sure the pins are close to center on the boot. The farther away from center, the more it will affect the release accuracy.

Maybe find a decent ski tech? Dynafit makes a cnc mountaing plate that is very expensive. Why would it not be aligned? I would never let this guy touch my skis

Hey Dru, thanks for checking out the video! While the Dynafit and all other mounting jigs allow you to correctly drill the holes, there is still some misalignment that can happen as torque down the screws. Even a half millimeter discrepancy in the front hole pattern can significantly throw the alignment of the rear spring off. Jigs do not accommodate for this and are simply a guide that do not provide a perfect hole pattern every time. This process needs to be done on every single alpine touring mount. Please shoot over any other questions you may have!
