ah, an EUC trip... it just feels nice to watch. I really want inner-city bike paths everywhere, so you don't even see cars or hear the car noise. A cool thing about it would be that you will not have to update it for many years with all of the micro weight of PEVs and bicycles.
For the range it doesn't matter what the EUC voltage is... I think you mix it with when the battery is given in Ah (Amp hour) in which case the same amount of Ah in a different voltage system is different. However, when capacity is given in watt hour, it's just the amount of energy. High voltage system uses higher voltage, but less current for the same amount of energy.
Im a commuter more than I ride for recreation, & before I ever purchase a newly released Begode wheel, Begode will need to put more QC into their new EUC lineup, & have features that riders like myself need, like an IP rating, a reliable full fender mudguard, a street tire option, smart battery monitoring, & a more informative display out the box. I live in the city the suspension is needed because the roads are shit, but the offtoad tires are a no, so a street tire option out the box I dont need to do after I unbox would help save time, & frustration. I have an elevator so as long as that works, the weight isnt a problem. These new EUC's are getting a bit expensive not to have any of these necessary things out the box, usually a manufacturer goes through an iterave design improving quality. & features. Begode has not done this, & stepped backwards a little, & everyone from the testers, to the distributors need to do more to get these wheels right. At the moment to me it seems like the newest release wheel with the best value from Begode is the mten4.
This 100%. I live in Boston(!), and I have a V12 largely due to its IP rating. I've already been thrown by my earlier KingSong EUCs and sent to the hospital - I really need my EUC to be reliable above all else. Electric unicycles are such amazing vehicles, and their only major downside (IMO) is that they can't stay upright when something malfunctions.
I too only buy for reliability in all weather. I commute ~ 30mi a day. I ended up choosing the Alien Rides Nikola 2700wh. Good for all weather including rain. After 8,000mi, its still chugging strong.
I have a KSXL 18 from several years ago no suspension. Although the thing get push back at around 31 MPH - the range is amazing and it does a decent job at Off roading. - I live in Las Vegas and we ride into the Desert. It is very technical. Cactus, steep inclines, single track, cracks in the trail and Rocks - lots of Rocks. I Pre ordered the T4 because of the perceived increase in agility, torque and suspension. All benefits with off roading. My Buddy Rides a KS S22. He says it is heavy but comfortable. We took it out the other day and he really liked it. I am hoping to Flex on him after I get the T4 because it is just a bit smaller and lighter.
There hadn't been enough demos yet but YES! Your use case is basically exactly what fit the T4, only qestion is how well it'll take up with the abuse, likely not as well as the KS18XL since that is a legendary durable wheel
I’ve been stalking your channel for a month now while on a diet and exercise plan to reduce my weight to 265lbs (from 360lbs) so I can buy an EUC! I’ve already lost 26lbs, so 1/4 the way there! Recommendations for heavier riders?
Got Sherman-Max, only one listed enough weight-specs. Took months to learn, still can't turn well, but ride every day just for the fun of it. Bought it for practicality, but it is pure freedom. The most freedom that can be packed into the smallest space and hidden under one's feet, so as to be nearly invisible.
it sounds like an infrastructure issue when bicyclists have to share the same space of the road as high speed drivers. pushing for safer and more effective infrastructure for people to get around is key. 8:30
American urban planning and infrastructure is very bad. The YT channel Not Just Bikes has some great videos explaining the problems with urban planning here. It's worth watching.
Your analogy about the SUV is a big reason why I love my EX20S HS, even in the light of the Master X/Pro announcement. This wheel would have been perfect for your trip here…enough battery to not worry about it, up to 50 mph speed for those roads, and suspension to let you go on rough pothole roads or even off roads depending on where you want to go. And a seat to rest on while you keep the journey going. Not a racer wheel by any means, but the capability to go anywhere is there, and the incredible tank like durability, just like an SUV. As for the T4, as much as I like bigger wheels since I’m a bigger guy, there are a lot of smaller riders out there where the T4 would be a better fit than something like the Master which may be too big, like my daughter who wants a more capable off road wheel and perhaps a jumper wheel for her size. For some folks who want to get into riding, sometimes it takes the right wheel for them to get in, and the more companies can offer, despite the challenges from dealers who need to decide their inventory, it’s still better for growing the EUC community.
BTW - request...we need a ~2hr NYC cruising video ASMR style with a funky dubstep DJ mix overlaid on it. Basically one of your intros mega extended that we can play in the back ground. :-)
I wouldnt mind a smaller form factor for city commute. Sherman max up and down multiple times per day on the third floor is no joke. Also, love using boat and train to extend range of my EUC 😁
Hold on power is power, W=VI , it will take a certain power to keep you at a certain speed, it matters not if that wheel is 84V, 100V or 134V the power required will be the same (all other things being equal), now sure the faster you go the more power you will need for the same distance. Actually for twice as fast, at least x4 as much power. So the weight of the wheel, efficiency, acceleration, and speed are the important factors here, all things being equal, you will go the same distance for the same power on all of them. Range therefore excluding weight, and efficiency and user caused variables should be proportional to battery size in WHr.
I'm happy with my outdated wheel for now. Hoping the industry shakes out and the winners of each use are more clear. I haven't seen an off road wheel that can ride the trails near me without great agility and concentration and I doubt going to a smaller wheel is the answer. Anyway, great videos and thanks for keeping us updated.
Returned my S22 for a T4 to save some $ and get rid of the issues I’ve been having with that wheel but think it’ll be able to handle off road rides I’m gonna throw at it, seen nothing but good reviews so far besides a few torque wanting wishes but I’m just hoping begode made sure they didn’t release this wheel before making sure it doesn’t have any defects 🤞 Great video
Hey just got my hands on th a2 assassin I'm in love ready for the t4 , I put some pads for comfort and I diy a trolley handle and a diy seat . Safe riding
I think I’ll be getting this instead of the master, $800 cheaper, smaller/more portable, crazy torque, better waterproofing, suspension doesn’t bottom out like the master, and much better built-in power pads and jump pads. The top speed is still plenty for me, only downside is the lack of a kickstand.
It’s a fun little ripper but don’t think it’s a jump wheel which is what I need. S22 torque version would be nice or RS with suspension (no that’s not the hero)
This might be the Goldilocks wheel for some. I'm interested in something to replace my KS 16X for commuting - if I ever go back to working in the office. Requirements are not too heavy, suspension to smooth out some of the potholes, little higher top speed (admittedly 35 mph is a little lower than I'd like), less than $3k, and good torque and braking.
Seeing these newer wheels struggle with range trips and speed dropouts I'm generally disappointed in these newer wheel lineups as I'm riding a 5 year old 18s and getting 45 mile range with 27mph top speed still
I really enjoy my t2 for whipping around town , so nimble and a lot of torque. I do also have a sherman which I also enjoy. For fun t2 is the bomb can’t wait till I’ll be able to afford the t4.thanks for vid
I just bought the T4 for city riding. Seattle has shit roads (no thanks to Bezos, Gates, et al.). I’ve been waiting for a decent midrange suspension EUC and this one fits the bill.
Smaller wheels look better, IMHO. the huge wheels look out of scale, especially for shorter people. Also, as per Jason of eWheels, the T4 has been a blockbuster.
Not surprised, for someone new a smaller, more maneuverable and cheaper suspension equipped EUC is very attractive. And I think everyone saw the T4’s success so we’ll have plenty of choices this year
Great video! I will let the beta testers weed out the best new wheels first before I upgrade. I am still loving my Nikola though. You did make me appreciate the Monster now.
I to hope this is priced at somewhere around $2500, or at least under 3 grand. And as for the possible fire scare from begode. I don't worry because all I've ever riden is Gotway/Begode wheels, but I don't use the same batteries as the factory product. Ewheels allows me to choose the batteries sold with the wheel. And I always choose Samsung cells instead of the stock Chinese cells usually sd with the wheel. Trusted and safe. Not to mention they have more punch and range then the stock batteries. Not as much punch as the Molicel battery packs, but you get better range with Samsungs cells.

I am in quandary of which wheel to get... I was originally thinking of getting the Sherman Veteran Max... Then the Inmotion V13 Challenger was announced... 🤔... I want range & speed... the fastest longest range EUC I can get. Durability, and build quality are also high on my list. The V13 having very good water resistance is important, as that I live in the Pacific North West... And it rains a lot. For me... The V13 is edging out the Sherman Veteran Max... Other people's thoughts?

I've received NOTHING .. all these new wheels ... and by the time you get them they're gonna be outdated .... @Ugga Bugga it’s not the weight, it’s the size and the price, plus there are advantages to a smaller wheel, it will feel more nimble and maneuverable. The size difference is a lot more than you realize until you see them together. Plus the extra water proofing and extra pads
EUC are a pain to crack open and the batteries are heavy. I don’t think anyone would want to carry a toolbox with them to swap a battery when you could just recharge anywhere and carry considerably less weight
The Inmotion Adventure is the first EUC that has been designed to swap batteries. This first iteration takes 10 minutes to swap for an experienced user. Hopefully, future models will be hot-swappable. Swappable batteries are useful for trail riding where agility is more important than distance, and the rider can return to their vehicle to get another few hours of riding, thereby extending the time available to ride in a given day. Swappable batteries is entirely new to the EUC world, and it’s a good evolution in design.
Excellent again mate. I guess Begode/Goway strategy is keep offering different options to dull the very poor quality complaints. I watched the Choch T4 video in which he pretty much was a Salesman for it, disappointing frankly. Keep up your honesty, it's refreshing & you'll win more fans then loose viewers.
I respect this dude in that he wants what he wants, but I have to point this out - it’s getting further and further away from what I’m guessing MOST people want, which is far more quality control, far more safety features that actually work, and overall reliability, backed up by a network of customer service folks that can handle problems. He’s primarily focused on performance, and specifically, top speed. Kind of like how it was fun that he’d talk during rides all the time, but it’s gotten to the point where it can be a gimmicky annoyance; I really don’t need to hear some dude struggling to be coherent over cobblestones while constantly making hard cuts every few words. I realize EUCs are still a niche industry, but if he wants to really “spread the EUC gospel”, he should lean way harder into what will do that… and that’s not the breathlessly endless pursuit of speed and nothing else.
Can't watch this, no matter how often I skip, I couldn't find any info about t4 in this video. It's about everything else in the life of this guy except t4)🤣🤣🤣 probably t4 related info is 1/1000 ratio here.
Cept way 80% more range & if I know GW, a similar % in torque. Had a s18 & not cuppa. It was gutless & I'm not talking topspeeds. Sold it for a RSht & am much happier. This Tk4 seems a nice progression with close to RS torque (hopefully) but suspension
Hsiang is my favorite euc journalist. I really appreciate you and anyone helping you.
I like some of lesser known guys too, who are anti-shill and tell it like it is!

Higher voltage wheels are typically significantly heavier and draw more power for the same speeds as a result. But you’re right!
I think for people that have smaller wheels like the mcm5. This will definitely be a great upgrade. I am definitely purchasing the T4.

Would the T4 make for a good first wheel despite your concern for safety and potential fire?
suspension wheel in general are a little bit tougher to learn on because of their taller pedal height, however you'll probably be happy riding it longer so I think T4 makes for a decent first wheel.

I’m in this exact same boat. If it was way lighter and smaller (as a 16” wheel should be compared to a 20”) then I’d love it…but it’s just not.
Price
It’s about $800 cheaper, and it looks much more portable if you see them side by side, it also has better waterproofing, the suspension doesn’t bottom out like the master, and it has much better power pads so there is no need to buy your own. It’s also going to feel extremely high torque

It's smaller then the master is why it's hyped.
"I don't like apples can't see why anyone would want an apple " is what it sounds like you're saying
Easy way decide on a euc. You plan on riding on roads with cars get a euc with greater 2200 watt hours and top speed near 40-50mph
I'm 12 minutes into a 20 minute video about the T4 and all you talked about was the Monster and Cape Cod... wtf am I watching?
Bonjour 👋
Merci pour la balade.

Bon ride à toi. 🪐
If you need to hop bumps, the T4 is it
good video again!
MTEN4?
I am a bit disappointed and surprised at the top speed of the T4 considering that the regular V12's is 43mph
It’s a HT motor I think the top speed is 37mph as well
They use hs motor in t4 from Nikola (c30) just little tweaked, to fit in small rim.
@@nicolasmasquerade OH Okay, Disappointing
@@nicolasmasquerade No they didn't. This is a new motor, new windings, new layout. C30 only refers to the magnet size.
Me just waiting to see if it bust into flames. 🤕
I missed your vidoe
Turns out T4 less torque than the MSP HT.
Cheers
I'm surprised that when people are on long trip like this they don't bring extra battery pks?!? 🙄 🤔
I'm get new improved s18
You did a 5-mile walk of shame with a dead monster?
Great video. Honestly if I was going to buy a shoddy potential fire hazard from begode it would be the Master.
best euc youtuber
Excellent again mate. I guess Begode/Goway strategy is keep offering different options to dull the very poor quality complaints. I watched the Choch T4 video in which he pretty much was a Salesman for it, disappointing frankly. Keep up your honesty, it's refreshing & you'll win more fans then loose viewers.
One would think you'd ride it before judgement'; bit disappointed
You just still dreaming of your old Z10 😂😂😂😂
Man get better hand and general protection at these speeds...
Bad motors, bad motherboards on this
Can't watch this, no matter how often I skip, I couldn't find any info about t4 in this video. It's about everything else in the life of this guy except t4)🤣🤣🤣 probably t4 related info is 1/1000 ratio here.
👍👍
T4 is very similar as S18.

Ahahah! God damn New Yorkers!
