Thanks so much! 30A is lovely! I have a couple videos but maybe I'll get the opportunity to show lots more. Thanks for your kind words and your suggestion too!
Thank you! Well, we just got back from filming even more from this last weekend, so be sure to look for an updated version coming out in the near future! :)
All of those areas look so beautiful. They each seem very charming in their own way. The beaches are gorgeous as well. Are all of those beaches public? I have never visited so far north in FL but after watching this it is a must do for me! Thank you for sharing. Love this video.
The ones I visited are public, this is one of my favorite places in North Florida, it makes for a fun weekend day to go visit one or many of these places. You should definitely check it out, you might fall.in love!! 🤗
@@GulfCoastGirl I'm seriously thinking of moving to FL sometime in the not too distant future and this area will be on my list of places to research. Thanks so much for the info. I appreciate it very much!
So almost all of the Beaches on 30a are going to be private, meaning you have to either be renting a home in the community, or own the home to gain access to the beach. This includes Rosemary Beach, Seacrest Beach, Alys Beach, Watersound Beach, and Watercolor Inn & Resort to name a few. All of these properties mentioned have a gate attendant checking wrist bands, or the gates are locked and require a gate code for entry. Unfortunately Walton County is very strict when it comes to public vs private beach usage. Okaloosa and Bay counties are much more friendly when it comes to public usage of beaches! *Local tip: State parks are the best beaches! Clean facilities, lots of beach to spread out on. But remember, early bird gets the parking spot! Happy beach going!
Wonderful video! Exactly what I was looking for. I’m planning a vacation and need to pick a town as our home base that has lots to in walking distance. Do you recommend one?
Thanks Barbara! Glad it helped! It really depends on what you like. I would probably pick rosemary beach, it has a lot to walk to, Seaside great shops and restaurants, and lovely beach, or Grayton Beach (more natural and woodsy) but still has restaurants and some shops
Thank you! One more question, we are thinking about going down late June. Are the shops, restaurants and beaches open now? If not, are you hearing that they will be by then? I'd hate to go and have to wear a mask! :(
We would love to move south someday. How did you decide to move and how did you pick your location to go? Jobs, kids etc? Such a big decision. I’m from MA and we have 3 teens
It's such a huge decision, so many things to think through, we tried 15 years ago and things did not all come together so we stayed in MN and then tried again now, I work from home and 2 of our kids were on their own. We loved this area, mostly visited Destin and ultimately picked Pensacola we fell in love with the small town charm and the beautiful beach just like Destin just not as crowded. There is so much to love about this area anywhere you might pick, and I am so glad I made the jump!! It was a long process for sure, best wishes to you and your dreams wherever they take you!!
The beaches are beautiful there, just wonder if it’s too hot in the summer? We live in Massachusetts and we’re thinking of going to North or South Carolina someday. We have 3 teenagers so it’s a tough time to move, plus we don’t have jobs that can be done from home. I’m so happy for you, and Hopefully someday we can make the big move too!! We are going on NCL Escape in November to Bermuda. Just enjoyed your videos on your trip.
It can definitely be hot in the summer, we usually limit time outdoors, if you are by the ocean there usually is a breeze. I've been to SC and that so nice there too! I hope you'll be able to make that happen, it's really amazing :)
Winters are very temperate I would say the majority if winter is between 50 and 70 some days higher and some days a little cooler. We have gotten down to 30 and sen a couple flying flakes but that is pretty rare, i love the winters here, coming from Minnesota its such a nice change
That was really a nice tour.Is the water warm enough to get wet ? how's the weather year round? I am planning to buy some property 30 minutes inland.I subscribed Thank you
The weather is delightful, hot a couple months in summer but most of the fall winter and spring is amazing. I live near Pensacola and love this area moved 2 years ago from MN, we are 30 min from beach, love it!!
@@GulfCoastGirl I am from Dallas,Texas.and I am looking for a piece of property 30 mins inland. How's the price per acre over there. I am looking for 3 to 4 acres and grow some vegetables as a hobby. And spend few months in a year over there .
30A does not start in Gulf Place. It starts to the west of Gulf place, where Top Sail State Park is. Wonderful beach in that the park. That is the quieter de side of 30A.
I've lived in Panama City Beach since 1985, I need to get out there and check out some of these cool places. Quaint, and cozy looking-I don't like Destin, because of the Huge amount of traffic and tourists. This looks different, Thanks for sharing-I'm gonna go check it out!!
Hi Gloria! Definitely check it out, these little towns are unique and cute, summer traffic can be crazy I like going during off season times. Thanks for watching, have a lovely day!
Very informative video. We're in St. andrews and headed to Navarre tomorrow and you've given us some awesome ideas of where to stop We subscribed to your channel. Hope you can check out our channel.

Yes, we love going over there for a day, not too far from us!! And this video only scratches the surface of what's over there :)

Hi Amanda! So many great places along 30A, I love the whole area, my top couple to visit are Rosemary Beach and Seaside. I am looking forward to going back and spending more time in all of them! Hope you have a great time with your visit!
30A is not Destin. Is in Santa Rosa Beach.
That's true, it's so close to Destin I would recommend visiting 30A as a fun day trip from Destin
Whitetown?
every building is painted white its interesting they do the digital grafitti festival to shine lights on the buildings I think that would be neat
Never heard it called whitetown lol
Its one of my favorites
LOL. It's not a secret. A billion tourists crowd 30a every year
True, it is amazing!
Water looks gross at 1st beach
Yes that day we had just come through a storm, so things were disturbed a bit, but it usually is bright and clear all along the coast
