Nobody is a bigger Coheed fan than Josh. You can tell he loves the music, he loves his bandmates, he loves the fans, he loves playing the songs. He's living his best life.
I didn't really "get" the Afterman until Descension came out and I heard Gravity's Union. It's the turning point in the story of the album too which is done so well.
As much as I _love_ Coheed, and especially IKSSE:3 and Good Apollo Vol 1, I think The Afterman duology is actually their best work overall. Both in terms of the music and the story, which by far has the most emotional impact to me.
You know how you know Josh is passionate. The dude has the same look on his face just playing the shaky egg during acoustic songs as he does playing these drum parts.
I've seen Coheed about 25 times dating back to 2005 and have even been lucky enough to see Josh play with his brother and father at a small bar near his hometown upstate NY (he came over and we chatted a bit). I'm constantly blown away by how polished he is, how much he gets into the music and by how much he just enjoys what he does... Super great dude, nicest there is- he deserves all the positive comments and attention
I’ve been a fan of them for almost two decades now, and I finally had the chance to meet them and Josh was hands down the most down to earth human I’ve met who just happens to be famous. He will always be my #1 drummer of all time.
This drummer is so much in the music, never seen a drummer like this. By the way we still need an interview with @Andrew Rooney and @66Samus (who is now btw officially at Drumeo and diddnt change a thing at his goofy behaviour. But his drumming speaks for itself)
Yeah I saw his intro video. So glad he is where he is now. Been a cool time watching his journey from when he announced years ago that he was quitting his full time job to do music instead.
Hands down my absolute favorite Coheed song. The drumming is off the charts and that much more impactful if you understand the meaning of the song. In terms of his unique writing style, I’d put Josh right up there with the likes of Danny Carey and Carter Beauford. He’s just different and that’s what makes him great
I kinda feel bad about ignoring Coheed and Cambria for years even when I had multiple recommendations towards them.. But after watching this, I got an uncontrollable urge to go and check it out.. Was not disappointed.. And Josh's unique style, groove and being so emtionally deep to the songs is very impressive.. Thank you!!
just saw them for my 10th time last weekend in Charlotte 🤘🏻🔥🍻 they never disappoint in live shows, such awesome energy. this is top 5 Coheed songs, soooo good. 7:26 YEP, THATS THE LOOK 😏 at the end when they do the “CAGGEEDDD” chant, it’s insane 🤯
SINGLE PEDAL FOR LIFE. (I'm not really that much of a pedal diva, it's just how I learned to play and I never had the urge-or money-to move up to a double.)
We all love watching a drummer that is visibly passionate about the music they play, but I would say don't feel forced to try to "look passionate". If you are, like me, someone who doesn't naturally exude passion outwardly, let what you play and how you play it do the talking for you. Don't flail around to be more entertaining, mould your stage persona to be as close to authentically you as possible.

Gravity’s Union remains one of my favorite Coheed songs. It’s just incredibly beautiful and tragic.
When he gets to the cymbal ending, and you can tell how excited he is that he just ABSOLUTELY CRUSHED this song!!!
Gravity's Union is S-Tier Coheed. That double album and it's story is just incredible.

Coheed is such an awesome band. Great drummer. 🤘
So glad we're getting more reactions to this video! Josh is such a sick drummer with such an incredible journey
Every member of Coheed is spectacular, but the magic Josh is able to create behind a kit with a single pedal is truly incredible.
The Crowing, Gravity's Union are my 2 favorite Coheed songs. Watching you discover them through the Drumeo video is kickass!!!!

Josh is one of my favorite drummers. He makes that 4pc kit sound absolutely massive. Such a cool style.
Josh has the groove that not many can match. I'm excited to see them again tomorrow. Cheers from Detroit!
Same, but NY on the 29th!
One of the most unique voices in singing over the last few decades
Yup crazy good singing
I love to watch Josh do his thing. So much passion!
Feeling every note that fella. Love the passion.
I would love to see Portnoy playing this in that YTShow I forgot the name of, I guess he could play it instantly but would have a lot of fun
So glad people are donating for more of Josh. I have watched his playthrough of Gravity's Union so many times from this Drumeo Live show.
I see this band every time they come through Portland. So good live. Love Josh's drumming.
Hey, Andrew. It's been a while since I've taken up your time. That was a master class in open handed, single bass pedal playing.... Great stuff.😎
You need more content with Josh eppard 😂🤌🏼🔥 never let it stop 🤙🏼
I'm running out of money!

That's great to hear!
I can feel that vibe
@@AndrewRooneyDrums love your videos!
YES! I was waiting for you to get to Gravity's Union!!!
it's such a joy to watch Josh play, he makes me wish I could learn to play just to have as much fun as he looks like he's having!
Josh just shared your video to facebook. :)
Goes to show that pure joy is contagious :)

This is going to be incredible! Thanks for doing the request, Andrew!
The bridge section is some of Josh's best stuff ever. It's like a 1 minute tour of all of his nuances and signatures.
Awesome vid. Love his playing, love his expression and passion. Absolute beast. That right foot never lets up!
Crazy, sounds like he has a giant kit…4 Piece. Awesome
Those are some crazy sand bag fills. Dropping the hammer!
💯🤘
any coheed cover is godly. thank you
I just saw them at Monolith in Melbourne. I'm not a drummer, but he is captivating to watch. Great video, mate.
Always here for Josh content
My all time favorite drummer. You can tell he drums for his favorite band haha

We need to get Andrew to a Coheed show!
Josh is a beast!!!

That part always sends chills down my spine
He is so ridiculously good
SINGLE PEDAL FOR LIFE.
(I'm not really that much of a pedal diva, it's just how I learned to play and I never had the urge-or money-to move up to a double.)
The whole kit is impressively minimalist.
My calves hurt just watching him play.
This is my favorite Coheed song
EPIC!
Concert in T Minus 3 days.
🙌
Yessssss!!!!
Was waiting for this one!!
These 2am uploads are causing me health problems 😂
Those sets of triple kicks he does to bring the second verse in are CRIMINALLY NOT LOUD ENOUGH lol so sickk
I cannot afford to pay for your subscription but I appreciate what you do!
I love how he plays open handed. I love coheed ❤❤
yt video -" neil peart interview on taking drum lessons from freddie " - I think you will love it
Josh sings sometimes. Mostly when he's playing the egg.
Amazing! Just released, please check out: Dan Presland (Vipassi) Promethea Studio Playthrough
Sounds good

Well said.
Very true. As someone who has seen ciheed maybe 25 times since 2003, this is Josh and it's all genuine. So fun to watch
Please react to Mike Malyan «Damar» Thanks :-)
