I enjoy your doll reviews not only for the doll content but also for the aside information. I often find myself pausing the video to do some research. Today I found out about Rafflesia flowers by a brief comment you made. I never knew there was a flower that big. Keep educating us!
I’ve actually been kinda skeptical about Chinese blind boxed BJD until these ones came out, I got Dan Nie and I was absolutely blown away by the quality and the articulation and the design of her and I love just playing around with it putting her in different poses, and I can’t wait for the CCTV TV cat BJDs to come out soon!! 👍
I agree on your review. The details are gorgeous!! I only have one of the first version of the Penny's box centaur dolls. The one I got has brown skin tone and really cute green hair. I forgot if it's the same brand, but you can also buy centaur doll bodies for customization. You can pair it with any doll face and hair of the same brand. The Antu mermaid dolls are cool too!!
I would consider this a pretty coherent set to be honest. There are some bjd sets that don’t even feel like they have the same theme. Usually the title is some vague concept that doesn't connect them at all. It could be a cultural difference, but I think it’s just that some designers don’t care to make the collection look like a unit. Which to me kinda hinders the line as a whole. I've seen one series that has a boxer, a cowboy, some circus looking ones like, where are all these girls going? And considering that I've witnessed multiple times people who would only buy a blind box or two if they like all the designs, making such a gap between the themes can make it less marketable. At the same time some are only a color pallet swap that isn’t even that different to begin with. So it’s not worth it to buy more than one. I do think this one series did a good job balancing the uniqueness of each character, but I was expecting more colors, especially because of the name, where’s yellow guys? Skin tones would also make a world of difference, but the silhouettes and outfits look pretty cool, especially due to the Chinese fairy motif they were going for.
Tried out one of the Penny's Box mermaid dolls. Pretty cute, but I have to say I prefer brushable hair. The hard molded hair is kinda limiting for posing.
I wish they’d make a bald head back or something so we could put wigs on them or something… I generally prefer rooted hair. But for the super elaborate hairstyles like these I don’t mind the sculpted hair generally
All of the design based on a fairy and goddess/gods in chinese myth, the red one absolutely a dunhuang flying apsara ua-cam.com/video/7psk28qCWWY/v-deo.htmlsi=ZZ2VbKXxR8UvtQP6 and the scarf is an essential for fairy to fly.
Cervitaur!! A centaur deer creature!! So cute thank you for showing details!
I honestly had never heard that word and have been calling these fauns for the longest 😭🤦♀️
@xCanadensis it's your doll, you could call it a deer mermaid and it'd be true :)

I've officially binged all of your videos 🎉 Thanks for being so awesome!
I really appreciate the depth of your videos. You really go through the important details. Thanks!
Omg they are so precious! I love their deep set eyes, makes them look so animated❤
I know it's not as exciting as a centaur doll but I hope someday a doll line makes a satyr character 😭🙏
I think it would be really cool if they executed them well!! Like with the proper leg position and everything 🥺
They teased some harpies a while back, I'm still waiting for them, so let's hope they keep adding more creatures to their catalog
OH MY GOD?? I need to check their Chinese socials because I’ve been so busy and haven’t been doing that 😭
These are so cute!!!!I love deer and so far I have not liked the faces on these dolls but I do like them on these.

I got these a few weeks ago, and I love them! Penny's Box definitely has had the best quality imo of the figures I like getting.
They are so cute!
they are beautiful. Can you switch their hair and faces with the Antu mermaid ones?
Yep! They are compatible with those dolls too!
I love your channel these mini figures are so cute

@@xCanadensis Penny's Box does sell a back of the head accessory if you want to put a wig on their dolls. i got one off of kika
Oh!! Wow! Thank you! Seems they are always ahead :o I’ll try and get one so I can share it
Ahhh I’m so tempted to buy another one
will there be a 10000 escapes plan review?
I hope I can get them 🥺
my favorite is celestial music. something about the coloring of her eyes and hair just tickles my brain.
Unrelated to these cute dolls. Do you make your glasses charms? Or do you buy them? I want some glasses charms. If you make them can you show us how?
It’s just a keychain I bought that came with a lobster clasp! You can use jewelry pliers to attach lobster clasps to basically anything though :)
@@xCanadensis oh cool! Thanks! There are so many ways to do glasses charms and I really like how yours looks
I got one because they were so pricey and I hope they go on sale so I can get some more of them.

I have sto doll
aww they remind me a little of Shikanoko but that's probably just because I'm obsessed with Shikanoko right now.
