I really like this series. I would like to add number 6: sometimes the plant thrives so well I begin to hate it. My Thai constellation within a year grew real enormous and it became very unwieldy. I almost break my back every time I take it out of its corner trying to rinse the leaves and water it (and I lift heavy weights at the gym). Worse yet, I have to constantly invent contraptions to strap it down because on its own it will tip over and fall on my other plants. I’d prefer to put it somewhere else more accessible but that corner is the only viable place in my setup. I am proud of this plant but I dread caring for it every week.
That is so funny! The plants that thrive are the worst 😅. It’s true though they outgrow their space and your like now what. Oh your Thai I know is beauty. Not a bad problem to have unless it’s yours. 😊
I like this series because you speak from real experience and I can relate. Everything you say rings true. My number 6 would be that space is one of the most underrated resources for your plants. It's really easy especially with quick growing leafy plants to outgrow your space and become overwhelmed. I like growing small plants so I can feed my plant addiction and not be as stressed for space 😅
Whew that’s the truth! I can’t wait to cut back because it can get hectic so quick. It’s like you never notice the growth until you start having to treat plants or put them I better locations and that’s when I’m like whew let the trimming begin
