It’s funny that with February being a short month I read more than I normally do as well. Also thank u for all the love on Goodreads❤ I absolutely love your content 😊
Great video! Your concern about the POV in the Neighbor Favor is relatable, but the opposite of what I usually experience: I have more difficulty reading first-person.
Really? I just feel like in first person the narrator is talking to me personally and third person is like a bedtime story LOL. But I’m slowly getting used to third person-it’s not that big of a deal these days. Either that or I’m just picking the right books🤣 Thanks for watching!🩷
The Weight of Blood and Monday's Not Coming took me through it 😩. I agree with you about her endings, it's why I haven't gotten into Allegedly yet. It seems like Allegedly is most people's favorite out of all her work.
Great February wrap up! My book club will be reading A love song for Rickie Wild in April-I’ve heard mix reviews about it so we’ll see. I’ve read all of these in your wrap up but four( Their Vicious Games, The Weight of Blood, And then life was beautiful and Love Notes) I’m still thinking about Magnolia Parks-I’ve only read the first book 😳 Can’t wait to see your March TBR!!! 😊
Heyyy! I’m here because of your suggestion of “ the neighbor favor” and yessss!!! I’m almost done but I’m mad at how the ending is going… hoping for a turn around cause what!!!
I agree with Tiffany D Jackson books...they definitely grab you but the Endings just leave me feeling like my favorite series getting canceled...some ppl love it...I just can't lol
Yes it WAS!! I think we’re good for a minute with all the ones we have on our physical TBR…we know what we like and we got em lined up waiting and ready!!🤗🩷
Hey Alia! your month was more balanced in terms of all the emotions you went through after reading those books. Some hard reads but also some fluffy ones.☺ I enjoyed Sadeqa Johnson's book. I read it last year. (The boy was white and Jewish! which was a double no no). Always a fun time watching you!
Hey👋🏾 And it was all by accident… I had no idea there was so much grief in ALL of the books I chose😩 If I would’ve known going in I would have switched it up a little bit but at least they were all good ones! Thanks for watching 🩷
The stories are so good though…as soon as I think “this one will be different”-it’s not. It’s not that her books are bad, they just leave me disappointed😔 Thanks for watching🩷
I read The Stolen Daughter as well this month. It was good, but 50 pages in, I thought wow this sums up the whole book. I didn't expect what was to come throughout the book. I loved your haul. I'm definitely going to check out both books.
So much miscommunication😩… and I usually am not a fan of that trope, but it worked in this one mainly because it was more so omitting the truth… not like the annoying miscommunication is The Love Hypothesis.
I love Christina C. Jones. If you like urban romance by a black author you should try Grey Huffington majority of her books are in a fictional town with mostly owned businesses.
Oh I love that! I’ve been seeing a lot about Luca and probably will ending up picking that one up even though I don’t need another book LOL😂 Thanks for watching🩷
New subscriber here ❤ I loved the Neighbor Favor!! Kristina Forest just came out with her new book The Partner Plot (which follows Lily's sister Violet and her reconnecting with a high school sweetheart)! I am definitely going to check out some of your recommendations. I love cute fluffy-ish stories 😊
Hi and welcome!! I loved that one! 🩷 I read a novella of hers -I Think I Might Love You… and I thought it was cute so I knew I would love her writing… I also just got one by her from Amazon too… it’ll be on my unboxing video this week. Stay tuned for more… thanks again🩷
I really enjoyed your video. And Then Life Was Beautiful was good. I also enjoyed Love Notes, I listened to that one on audiobook. The Mixtape was pretty good. Give that one a try. Fast was soooo good. You had a really good line up this month 😊

Yep! I’d have to agree. I think I enjoyed Allegedly the most. But yeah, those endings😤

It only took me one book with Tiffany D. Jackson……after reading Grown, I was done!
The stories are so good though…as soon as I think “this one will be different”-it’s not. It’s not that her books are bad, they just leave me disappointed😔

@@BookmarkedByAlia Right. And thanks for all your love on Goodreads! I enjoy your reviews !
Awww no problem and thanks so much!!🫶🏽😉
I absolutely love her books, especially The Weight of Blood!
I really liked all of her books… It’s just the endings I’m not a fan of… they always leave me so confused and with so many questions😔

Exactly… they could’ve waited to drop that bomb on us at like the 70% mark… but it was still good. Thanks for watching🩷🤗
The cover for Maame is so cute
Isn’t it? Nothing like a pretty book🩷
