You can. I have seen them put in many pickups to install out of. I don't know about a permanent way to mount the frame but I'm sure it wouldn't be to difficult. You just wanna make sure the truck can handle the weight. However I recommend a trailer or a box truck with ramp because it is hard on the back to pull tops from a pickup tailgate.
