Thank you for an informative video. My question is on a tandem axle caravan do you swap the wheels over front to back for in an X rotation.

Thanks for your question . In the case Vs a tandem and if you have a spare that is part of the set , then treat it like your vehicle and rotate them including your spare same as your vehicle .
If it’s just the 4 then rotate then in. X fashion eg front right would go to back left . Cheers 😊

Ok video, but what about the age of the tyres?

Hi Kym. Many thanks for your comments and question.
Yes its a very good point and perhaps i should have touched on it in the video.
BUT on this occasion i choose to explain the side wall marking of tyres using a table in the up and coming addition of GO RV magazine . And here I talk about how to read the side tyre wall to know the age of the tyre before its even installed . Its an interesting topic as we all store our caravans trailers differently, which can mean the weather elements such as the UV rays, rainfall, hot cold temperatures, the inflation pressure and weight when stored all can play a part on deteriorating the tyre to the point tread delimitation starts to occur, and often not seen by owners. The tyre in some cases can still be fine with tread depth for many years but due to poor storage its has already started to breakdown.
There is no right or wrong answer here due to all the variables, but there is a suggestion within the Industry that suggests, somewhere between 5 and 7 years tyres should be replaced. I can't speak for us all as for my likening its all about how you look after the tyres on the road and all so when the Caravan / Trailer is stored up for long periods .
Its a very important and interesting topic that all us RVs need to be aware of.
      Thank you for raising it.
      Regards Grant safe RVing.
