About rules of inferences, do we only consider true premises? For example, the Addition rule, I worked the truth table for p, q and pVq, and it doesn't imply the implication -> (if... then...) truth table.
Show that the following arguments are valid using the rule of reference and logical laws? a)Premises are (¬p → (r ∧¬s) , t → s , u → ¬p, ¬w, u ∨ w), Conclusion is (¬t)? Can anyone solve this for me I need to prepare myself for exam. Thank you.
Yeah but no...the implication Boolean expression in particular is actually not an accurate representation of our everyday "statement --> it's implication" kind of sentences or scenarios. On the surface, these expressions might look the same and appear to be corresponding to real life scenarios but at one point they could get too abstract and detached from what seems to be reality for us from our common-sense influenced viewpoint so...yeah, don't approach them using common sense. The whole point of the entire discipline of logic, a subset of discrete maths, is to question and challenge our common sense.

Never knew rules of inference are so easy....i procrastinated it right upto now when day after tomorrow is my exam....u made it so easy🌟👍
Thanks a lot.
I was so confused about inference rules for almost six months but this video taught me so easily.🥲
you are so talent in this! Helpful! thanks a lot!
Thankyou so much 😅 I thought I won't attend questions on inferences but now I'll 😊tysm❤️

are you preparing for GATE CSE??
wow this video is helping me a lot And thank you this is helping me to understand the lecture notes
Amazing to have all these rules summarised so clearly and so well. Thx for sharing
Thanks to this channel whose teacher is better than my professors
This is the best way to explain Rules of Inference.Thanx a lot for this vedio
U cleared this topic such a nice way
Thank you, this helped me understood lecture materials
Shout out sakong mga classmates nga bagsak sa logic
Thank you so much. This helped me a lot
Excellent video, I really am enjoying this course!
Thank uuuu sooooo much❤️. I was so worried abt my exam..and rules of inference was my nightmare..
Sir g zindabad.I found you a best tutor on youtube regard deacrete mathematics.
I love you
Thank you, It's a very important concept in Discrete Mathematics and AI & Neural Network!
Thanks a lot for , I was so confused in this but through the help of your video my all the confusions were resolve
Highly appreciated sir! Thank you so much
i love u bro thank you so much for this u saved my life
Wonderful!
Great video! Thank you so much.
How to decide which pair of truth values to take for solving a given equation?
Thank you so much ❤️.. it's really helpful ❤️
Very nice explanation 👍🏻👍🏻
It's very helpful for my exams.. Thanks a lot.. 🥰
You just saved me !!!!!!!!! Sleep well, you saved a person today
best video on the topic, thanks alot

Thanks a lot for your teaching 🙏sir🙏
Very helpful excellent explanation
Interesting that there exists more rules of inference that are not introduced in Patrick J. Hurley's books.
Explanation is so clear
it is not????
Thank you for this wonderful work sir! Alhamdulillah!
Thanks a lot sir
this lecture was so complicated honestly , i did't get proper ,please use examples instead of true and false so can understand
Your basics are not clear. You should know implication table already and have memorised it. :)
U deserves more..👍
Thanks a bunch!
thanks i have exam today
Thabks a lot Sir!!!
Amazing explanation 👌👌
For modus ponens and modus tollens 1:15
thank you a lot
awesome !!
A day before exam would be enough ....
Why you decided that p is T or a is T in the begin . For ex . in modus ponens you said in the begin , that p is true and p imply q is true
Can you help me with this question, please
How to learn all these laws?
thank you so much !!!
Wishing you luck for Gate
thanks
excellent
thanks sir😊
so helpful. thank you very much
i have exam in 15 min thanks
Tysm sir
why we are not considering any other combination of truth value than you have told in the video
Very very helpful
could you help over lattices?
Shout out to my classmates in Math 10
Beton yetmez betonnnnnn
thanks sir
Tq sir
do i need to memorize these laws
Is converse possible for addition rule and simplification rule?
yes
perfect !!
W sir
Why is this subject so damn complicated wth 😭
Why your sound like dragonballZ character 😂
Superb
Ai gang where you at
thx
parabéns
Apne jo table banayi bilkul samajh nhi aa rhi please acche se declare kariye

Tomorrow is my Discrete Structure exam I know nothing pray for me guys 😔
Mine 2 July 😭
Mine tmr 😢
Same. In 5 hours
it could have been better if you could explain with examples
can i copy your power point its for my report
He checked for if true ....what about if false
Are you mad 😂
I really really really thanks:333333333333333
❤
I didn't understand if p is true y q need to be true 1:29
As we know the premises have to be true,so premise 1:p->q has to be T,and if P is T then p->q is T when q is T only
Mujhe apne digital electronic me pass karaya hai
joinha garantido
rule P, rule T, rule CP kya hote hai?
Rule of premise, rule of tautology
very confusing, did not understand anything. HELP
all of these is simply common sense lol
Lol
