Thanks for watching, and I hope my fellow US-based adventurers had a great Thanksgiving! BTW, I recently updated the "Gear I Use" page on my site and made sure all the links are current, etc. You can check it out here: suvrving.com/gear/
On that hwy 44 going past the south end of Flaming Gorge there was a road you could of turned off (further N/W I believe) called Sheep Creek Canyon Geological Area (Geometric Folds) that you probably would have found amazing, when I went down there, I saw no people at all, I was the only one, it's a loop drive, pretty spectacular
That billboard thing is a microwave reflector. It's been replaced by satellite based communications for the most part, but in an emergency, the military maintains some equipment to still utilize these relays as a secure long distance linked network.
Looking forward to the new adventure! That is a radio mirror, or a passive repeater. Probably harmless, although I'll admit I would have wrapped my head in aluminum foil that night! Lol
Definitely a passive repeater. Basically, when something obstructs the line of sight between two antennas, these reflect the microwaves around the obstruction.
Whoa! My favorite flavor and brand of yogurt, and my favorite breakfast also! I sometimes add whey protein powder, too. Yummmm The view from the top was awesome! When I looked at from Google Maps, it was difficult to figure out. At first it looked like a plain surrounded by canyons with lakes in them! Had mentally switch gears to see the long flat 'ridge' and the surrounding canyon cutouts with lakes in them! what a crazy awesome geography! Flaming Gorge is fantastic. So glad you braked quickly enuf to avoid the sheep! A little too close for comfort! Thanks for journey to this beautiful little corner of our world.
Enjoy your travels in Utah! I've traveled throughout the southern part of the state extensively. Will need to check out the NE area someday, especially Jeremiah Johnson country, the Wasatch
Oh, good one. Those views!!! At first I looked and thought, hey I could hike that, and then you showed the ground! No way. But when you get to look up... those views!
That was great!! You must’ve needed the rest. Good for you. The little grasses in between the rocks looks so pretty. My grandfather’s company used to make those bomb shelters. It was a bizarre place to play, when I was a kid. I hope to get to Utah, someday. Thank you so much for the video. Take care.
I believe that creek in your video was part of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resource's ongoing native trout restoration program. Did you hook into some nice Colorado Cutties?
You're my favorite! Can you do an updated SUV camping things, I am starting my travel journey in January. I am going to be camping in my jeep grand Cherokee starting in Arizona and some advice, hacks, or gear updates would be greatly appreciated. Safe travels

Chobani!!!
FYI, try it with some dried coconut chips. Tasty. Easily stored. Good calories for a long hike.

As always just WOW!! You by Far find the best places and those views.....Thank You!

That flat surface is a screen for a drive in movie theater.

Look at his video, "My Drone Gear (And How I Go Hiking With It)". It is cool video.
I made a video about it, and it's listed on the "Gear I Use" section of my website. It's the Mavic Air.
