Detailing Safely: Pressurized Containers

- Join me in learning how to keep safe when dealing with pressurized containers. There is a lot of misinformation and bad practice happening with these, so I'd like to shed light on why we need to proceed with caution.

Well done!
Thank you Yvan!
Great information! Thanks for educating everyone about this critical information.
My pleasure Bruce. Just trying to contribute whatever I can to the great world of detailing, I hate seeing anyone get hurt. Always honored to have you hanging out in Steve's Garage!
I use a Ball Lock Keg, it’s 5 and 3 gallon. Corney Keg are a challenge to source parts I always thought and the 2 distributors I spoke with didn’t recommend them for auto tinting or detailing 👍
Great tips Steve. People especially need to be careful adding schrader valve to a sprayer that doesn’t have a relief valve.
Thanks J! The DIY schrader valve builds I have seen are pretty sketchy.
Great important, often forgotten or ignored topic Steve!! Thank you!!
Love the out take!! Lol
Thank you Adamo! Hahaha glad you enjoyed the end
Nice 👍! This is topic we don’t think about or talk about prob enough. We can take things for granted and it can go wrong fast.
@@DrivewayDetailswithBecca 💯 agree. Thanks for tuning in Becca 😎
Great Info Steve! Keeping plastic container under pressure weakens the vessel. Also to note many plastics do not show up on an xray machine. So if one were to go boom and fragment everywhere its hard to find all the pieces inside your body.
All great points!
That was very informative and appreciated! Will definitely do a Keg Sprayer/foamer via a brand new keg from a beer keg distributor to maximize safety and longevity! Thanks again
Glad you enjoyed! I consider Scott Graves (The Detail Guy) to be the resident expert for detail kegs - he sells a really clean setup, but is also a wealth of knowledge.
Hey Steve. Was just watching one of your video again and thought it’d be cool if you made a video showing people how to add metering tips to any foam cannon to perform just like the Griots Boss. Something I’ve been wanting to do for a few weeks now.. just so much easier this way. Cheers bro’
@@BreezeMW hmmm let me marinate on that one a bit. I’ll have to order some tips, it might be plug and play.
@ ya I’m sure it’s pretty simple I see Jeff said in his video there is a company that makes a kit where you can really dial in your PIR. Definitely something I think all foam cannons will adopt sooner than later
Perfectly informative! Thanks for this.
@@RemedyAutoDetailOfficial appreciate you watching! 👊
Also people don't smell chemicals directly from the bottles.
my powers come from smelling detailing chemicals directly from the bottles! … except coatings that’s too hardcore 😜
@FrankoDetails I have a new bottled scent, Do you want to try it?
Thanks for the video! And so handsome!
@@sheepstardetail I’ll slide my OF link into your DMs 🤣
@ messsssyyyy
Outstanding video, too bad there is a maker of keg sprayers that sells 150psi relief valves for the corney kegs
This is OK as long as everything else is rated for 150psi. But if they are changing the relief to something that is at a higher rating than the tank...huge red flag. It's not worth the risk. I appreciate you watching!
@@StevePierson123 I don't know of any Corney Keg that is rated at 150psi all of the ones I own or have built for friends are rated at 130psi
@ 😬 sheesh
I hit this 👍
Thank you!!!
First!!!
