i agree totally if you’re losing 1-0 since the first half in the biggest game of the season and you don’t sub until the 80th minute you don’t know your stuff as a manager.

It was a lazy appointment. It's frustrating because we have the funds and good recruitment but they've not been ambitious with the coach.

With an attacking line up of Rutter Piroe Summerville James Gnonto Bamford Joseph the fact we have finished 4th out of only 4 decent teams in the championship isn't great management regardless of getting 90 points.

German efficiency is a myth Farke got it wrong.
When I lived in Germany, I had to take a day off work to attend the Town Hall, to sit in a queue for 30 minutes to purchase stickers to stick on my bin for my rubbish to be taken away. They didn't even have a till or computer and had to write it in a ledger book. This was in the early 2000s. German efficiency is absolutely a myth.

i’m a saints fan and i’m unbelievably happy, we done everything and defended brilliantly just to get over the line. if the result was reversed i’d be feeling the same way and seeing your best players leave will make it harder to come back up even though you’d get good money. you need to get the recruitment spot on and i think stability is key so sticking with your manager and going again because the last thing you need is a rebuild.

Stability is not key if the manager isn't good enough. No one is suggesting sacking him and replacing him with someone one worse. Changing managers only causes instability if the replacement is worse.

One aspect that Mc Kenna has nailed down, is the use of the squad, and the use of substitutes, which is why we have the most points from a losing position, most late goals, and most goals from substitutes, whereas Leeds are still using subs 'old style' and don't use the squad well enough

How he managed to get 90 points with the mess he walked into is impressive. In August, if someone had predicted Leeds would finish with 90 points, you'd laugh and say they're deluded. Need to play James, Gnonto, Piroe and Joseph together. We'd create so many more chances. Having Kamara and Gruev.. doesnt work if you need goals. Summerville never crosses a ball. Always relying on Firpo to cross a ball in. Just a tad shuffle around with the squad could make such a difference.

This squad SHOULD get 90 points and Farke has done a good job sorting the mess from the summer. Unfortunately he’s lacking in his tactics and management of subs at key times. Sometimes you have to accept there’s a need for a change. It may sound harsh but Farke is just not good enough.

As an Ipswich supporter, who had to listen to many (not all) Leeds supporters telling me that Ipswich would fall apart, and Leeds were going to get promoted automatically, and we were just a L1 team.

Yes, Leeds beat Ipswich twice, but they lost three times to Southampton, who we beat twice in the league.
Other than losing to Leeds twice, we only lost four out of the 44 league games, with the six that we did lose being the lowest in the league, in any case.

Not sure this is Farke, its the players fault. Doesn't matter what system he played with these players, we still wouldn't have won. The only exception is Dan James should've started. If we were to stick with Rutter, Summerville, Gnonto next season, it would be the same outcome, all of them prima donnas, thinking they are better than they are.

said it from his appointment, getting him because he’s the safest bet doesn’t guarantee that we will get promoted with him. there is a reason gladbach got rid of him asap. the only reason he got to 90 points was because the championship is much lower quality than the prem and we were operating with a lower end prem team as a whole. now going forward even if we are promoted it’s going to be tougher to stay up next season and if we don’t parachute payments will be gone.

Nah. Bielsa proved that you spend the money on the coach. He saved us a fortune in transfer fees. You can sign all the top players you like but if they're not coached right they'll always fall short.

I agree, your tactic was not to park the bus, you got into your defensive shape very well and made it difficult for us to attack but that’s because we made it easy for you to get into your defensive shape with our poor, slow approach play. Our manager got it wrong for the umpteenth time this season against the best team we’ve faced this season.

Farke shouldn't be sacked, but the squad needs to be much stronger next year, including either 1 or 2 new number 9's. We also need a couple of new centre backs.

Leeds have now failed to earn promotion from all six of their Football League play-off campaigns; only Sheffield United (9) and Lincoln City (7) have competed in more play-off campaigns without ever being successful in one
Not only will missing out on promotion effect Leeds financially but they are also more than likely lose most of their best players!! Summerville, Gnonto, Gray etc that's most of their front line. A club the size of Leeds really should have gained promotion automatically, but loosing out in the play off final especially given that they were favourites will take a while to get over!! I would've put my house on them coming back up tbh. Good luck for next season.

Farke does seem to care, but he does tend to blame everyone but himself. Fully agree on the criticism about his in-game management and inability to react to different scenarios.
I thought the caller made some good points, he is obviously a genuine fan who has seen Farke make a mess of it during the season. I think its wrong and and quite patronising for Pardew and his sidekick to go on the "managerial defensive " and Pardew to say "he has just lost a major game" as if his mental health will be affected.

Southampton had a good game plan but a manager must react during the game.Not just blaming the manager , players need to take responsibility during the game as well even if it means going against the game plan.

I think saying that they’ll be a league one club is just a stupid thing to say. It hard now but last season was always going to be a tough season with the others that came down with Leeds. Then Ipswich being so good threw a spanner in the works. Next season will be a bit easier for Leeds and believe that’ll make top two. It just depends on what their squad looks like come the start of next season.
