The Ray Gun is INCREDIBLY good quality. Super hefty piece coming in at 14lbs and great paintwork. This is most certainly only for display as there are no working parts. EDIT: THE ART ON THE BOX IS CALDERA.... WHY? WHO FUCKIN KNOWS! Thanks so much for liking, commenting, and subscribing!
Batteries are considered "Class 9 hazardous materials" and are a pain in the ass to ship. That's just in the U.S.. Other countries have their own specific regulations on shipping batteries. Most things that use batteries don't ship with them as a result. It's less a cost thing and more a legal thing.
Not if you have the money. 600 is a lot to some people but not alot if you have over few hundred thousand. And these days some UA-camrs make there money back in there next video
@@DeadUponAll yeah bro, we just got people chilling with a hundred thousand in their bank account. bro was definitely raised in a mansion with a silver spoon in his mouth.
Missed opportunity to make the front of the gun flip down like it should and use a C or D battery for the lights to make it more realistic when switching batteries. Or Cores in the game.
The only thing that bothers me is the open circle sight, it's suppose to have + inside of it but... Other than that, great piece, definitely something that could be tribute to labor of love.
Actually so sick. Super unfortunate you can't Reload like how you can in-game. Would be cool if it took like a big 9 volt battery instead too. And if you could pull the trigger to create sfx
Crazy that they added light, but not to the needle and the gauge, it’s an eye sore not seeing the ticking needle move or even the gauge light up with the front of the gun. Still super sick but if it fully had lights and sound for a billable trigger this thing would be top tier
There's this channel called the Raygun project and they made a working Raygun with lights, sound, and even with some moving things, but from what I heard he reached out to Activision to sell Rayguns but they ignored him
I 3D printed a replica Ray Gun over the summer from The Ray Gun Project, with custom electronics for lights, functioning trigger and switches and opening barrel. I already had the filament but overall it couldn't have cost much more than $200 tops. Still need to make a Mystery Box though. Edit: This one is much shinier though, looks like it would be a good display piece with proper lighting
Im making a 1:1 scale replica of the real game model from bo2. Ill try and edit space for the electronics from "The Raygun Project," to get it to function the same or better. Ill try and remember your comment and ill send a link to the files when I'm done.
Missed opportunity to have the front open and take the batteries that way. Maybe it would’ve messed with the build quality, but for $600, I’m sure they could have made it work
honestly if they just added a little more interactivity to the model, especially with the trigger and pulling down the front, this could be a genuinely great cosplay prop they could've had the battery cell portion of the raygun be where you put the actual batteries too
I’m glad that there are people out there that make and sell ray-guns and other wonder weapon replicas. As beautiful as this $600 piece is, I’d rather buy one thats 3x less the price with functioning lights and sounds. Still an amazing collectible.
I can get an airsoft replica of the m41a pulse rifle from Aliens for an msrp of a little over half that price and at least it does a bunch of cool shit. 600 bucks seems like a lot to be spent on a single piece of well made plastic with a light
wow, i never thought i would live to see the day. I REALLY loved the part when he said "It's Raygun-ing time!" and the Raygun said "It sure is, it sure is." all i can say is, Bravo Vince 👏
For 600 you should be able to pull the trigger have the sound effects and reload the gun with different cartridges that can make the ray gun change colour and sound like when its pak a punched but anyway, it does looks cool its just not 600 cool more like a 150 quid to me personally i wouldnt pay more than that for it.
It should have come with batteries at the very least! I got mine. My number was 143/2000 and my barrel wasn’t even glued… I talked with them and got something else worked out because it was faster and easier for me to just glue it myself with the glue from the shop I work at. They said that I could send it back to them and get another one by October but I did not want to do that. The customer service was amazing but I was disappointed that the barrel wasn’t glued on properly in the first place.
I love zombies sm that I bought this and I love it but my god the fact that it didn’t even include batteries and some of the details they missed is insane
Beautiful replica but would have been great if it was actually practical and working as being able to put ammo in and take it out and working trigger and have the noise
For $100 more you could get an ROG ally to play custom zombies portably. Or if you don't mind tinkering with some things like $200 less for a steam deck and do the same. I get why people would want this but as someone who personally prefers use over looks, that's definitely more of your moneys worth.
As a show piece, I think it's decent... But it's unfortunate that there's no elements that there's almost no interactive elements apart from the glowing barrel of the Ray Gun. The Mystery Box is definitely a great addition. I don't think I'd spend that much on a show piece, but to each their own! Entirely off-topic, good choice of chair there. Now THAT is something I would (or more so did) shell out the cash for.
@@PrestigeisKey Agreed! Way better than the typical gamer chair. I got an Aeron of my own about a year ago and it was worth every cent. Can definitely recommend a headrest from Atlas if you fancy some neck support, too!
There are hand-made versions this on etsy for $3-400, and the first one I found had hinges with prop batteries, sound effects, color changing switches......I know Activision's version is really high quality, but the lack of functionality is just sad
Got mine today and the barrel was broken off same as the little antenna in the front..... and as u said, it felt firm in the packaging and my box didn't look damaged so I feel like it broke at production or as they packaged it, what do I do? Its $600 after all, I feel like it should come whole, since the quality feels good. Any tips on what rights I have in this, since I'm not in the US?
i have a 3d printer and made the raygunprojects one and idk if i could spend 600$ i built myn for around 100$ but i love the finish on this but also for 600 it should be metal and fully light up myn lights up and has sound effects for like 40$ but other then thatit looks cool but what are the black spots all over it? idk what varients of the raygun they were going for but it seems odd
For the money it should break open like the real thing, and it should have functional knobs and triggers. When you pull the trigger it should place a high quality sound effect of the gun firing and within the tip of the barrel should emit a green light. For the price, and only 2000 made, there should have been far greater attention to detail. Fuck this thing.
So the fact that you can't interact with it at all really makes me wonder why it's so expensive. Like there's regular toy guns you buy for 30 dollars at the store that lets you load it, shoot it and make sounds, what on Earth is this malarkey? Like imagine if the Juggernaut fridge didnt open lmao.
This was such a massive disappoint in my eyes. When I collect something like that, I want to feel like i'm actually using it or as close to it as possible. No trigger pull, no front half opening, can't switch the knobs, no sounds, NOTHING!?

For $600 it needed to have more interaction ability. The trigger not even being able to be squeezed for a sound effect is unfortunate
