We had a wonderful stay experience with this hotel, and we felt that it was really underrated. The comfortable, clean room that is full of natural light boasted an exceptional view of the Singapore cityscape which was a pleasure to watch by day and night.
As a Marriott Bonvoy guest, Jim was upgraded to the Deluxe Cityscape room and was also entitled to evening cocktail hour at the Urbana, a rooftop bar on the 33rd floor where we could enjoy 2 complimentary alcoholic drinks, free flow of non-alcoholic drinks and light snacks from 5pm till 8pm.
What we love most would have to be the F&B offerings by the hotel. The chili crab pizza served by the Urbana rooftop bar, and the oyster omelette, chili crab omelette and braised pork belly at the buffet breakfast spread was super delicious!
We can't wait to revisit this hotel again! (^_^)

Been to Novena before. Didn’t know there’s such a beautiful hotel. Will definitely on my list next time I visit Singapore!
Its very basic room but we love it very much.You will love the breakfast for sure.

This hotel is very underrated, totally worth to stay, just the location is not really idea for tourist :p

Great review! With Singapore's very efficient MRT transport is it practical to just stay in Novena .... even if everywhere you want to go is in CBD.
(?? Are there any special training courses available whereby Jim can get used to enjoying firmer mattresses??)
Thanks so much Grant! It definitely is one under-rated hotel which is conveniently located along the North-South MRT line in Singapore. I think Jim is just too used to having s softer bed. He would have to get older to appreciate a hard bed in my honest opinion. Hehe...
Oh Grant! The room can see where we went to the trek! First think Shaun and I say after the view is the trekking experience ^_^
G.day Jim and Shaun. very spartan room, nice tidy ( no sharp edges) great view from the room and the bar views everything looked nice and relaxing, and food very interesting :) i let you drink the Saki ( way too strong for me) a nice South Aussie # wolf blass Shiraz :) . the bed was the only down side TOO SOFT :) i lost count you had 3 bottles of saki , 1 bottle of Red anf a few glasses for dinner ? what we will do when i get there 1 glass for a bottle for you 2 :) i be able to keep oace that way with you :)

We really enjoy the stay with this hotel, gonna go back again soon.
Sake usually 14% of alcohol about the same with wine, you need to drink with a pro to handle it.
We did not know their Shiraz taste sooooo nice, and very affordable price in Singapore, will buy some when they having sales.
The bed is actually a HARD bed, just the blanket is soft, I think you will like this hotel, it was 161SGD per night including of breakfast, sometimes can be cheaper.
We had 1 bottles of sake ( 1 bottle we bring back for xmas )and 1 bottle of red wine during the stay, it was just nice for us.
We will bring extra bottle then :p
Very nice review. The room looked really nice, and I too really like views that you can see the real parts of a city. My only criticism, and it's not this hotel in particular. I'm not a fan of pocket doors that you have to slide to close off a bathroom. One, I can put up with, but to have to close 2 doors just so you can go poopy LOL. Other than that, really nice.
