Wow. One person can apparently do better than this amazing work! Out of 4,000 people, why would one dislike something like this? I'll never understand why people dislike neutral things :/
What Tools did you use for the water simulation and how many particles did those sims include. It looks really incredible. ;-) I'd also like to see some making of the tiger. The tiger model was awesome, what did you use to animate him and simulate his fur?
That shot of Pi underwater and the ship sinking was freakin amazing. One of the best sense of scale shots I've ever seen in a movie.
I understand why Life of Pi got an oscar for Best visual effects! Great job!
The film was amazing and the VFX are even more awesome! Kudos, MPC! Brilliant work!
We used Scanline's software.
The Tiger was created by the team at Rhythm & Hues, while MPC did the storm sequences.
Flowline or Houdini for simulation
AMAZING!
Wow, I thought this movie did not deserve best VFX over The Avengers or Prometheus, but now I think it makes some sense...
Wow great work! Sounds scary if u were on that ship huge storm!

Great!
For underwater scene at 2:57 did you use animated 3D mesh for masking PI? Or those are 2 layers of bubbles?
Thanks.
