Hey mate, thanks for the vid, I’ve been thinking about getting a joystick. I’m not a big fan on how that steering wheel sits though, like you mentioned it would suit racking games more in my opinion. I also play ETS 2 so ideally want a steering wheel for that too. Daggerwin reviewed one a few days ago that looks good too. 19:58 Thanks again Argsy 😄🇦🇺👍
Funny you mention re-learning new controls... I started on FS19 when Stadia gave it out free, got used to using the controller. Eventually pulled the trigger and bought the PC version (did you know Stadia had ZERO mods. . . ) and adapted to using the Keyboard/Mouse setup... I've now tried reverting to controller (find the lack of buttons at ready touch frustrating) and even tried devices typically for other games (e.g. Razer Tartarus) and even with the other games I find the same "re-learning" phase distracts from the game... End up telling myself I'll try again after some random trigger (time/event/weekend/etc.) only to never adapt... Anyway, great review, great information, always appreciate it Args!
I intend to "relearn" with FS25. Haven't touched 22 for a long while now, so hopefully it won't be that hard. Got the farmstick and haven't really touched it, didn't get very deep into FS22 with it (just made sure it worked). Guess we'll relearn together!
Good video Args. I personally think the Hori looks like the best joystick but a farmstick for the left-hand and the hori on the right is my dream setup.
Here's my two cent's about it.Ihad g29 and joystick on my old desk,as i play farming and fps etc.,moving the wheel out of the way was absolute pain. The desk was just too full of shit. Now years later,i bought t248,and made a rig of furniture plywood, lately upgraded with Sparco seat.Happy with diy rig,as i can adjust it anyway i want to my liking.I do lot of logging, which i do with ps4 controller atm,but i might build foldable joystick stands for my rig. Well, enough of rambling of my setup, anyone has their own preferences. I would add couple advices though: 1.Make or buy a rig or stand for wheel and pedals,so much easier to live with, takes few seconds to plug and play. 2.Forget factory mappings, always go with your own settings.Might take a while to find good mapping for your liking, but it's well worth it.
Really good video! One question though, does it work with other wheels than TM wheels? I have G29 if that matters. As said, great video and thanks for good instruction video.
yes the farmstick can be used on its own with any wheel combo, it is a completely stand alone peripheral. I'm currently using it with the Hori wheel and pedal set and works really well!
no, the Thrustmaster Farmstick is completely independant of the steering wheel, so can work with whatever you already have. The bracket though is only compatible with the T128 and T248 wheels.
I have the Thrustmaster farm stick, no, I have a problem. I have all the default settings, but the clamp does not open, which settings should I change?
I never tried the heavy equipment pack, so can't compare but this is a nice setup, plenty of options on the joystick and the wheel is nice and adaptable.
Hey hey ARGSY JUST WANTED TO SAY the FOV your using man is quite difficult to watch your videos since you rendering it over 70 right Cuz man it messes with my eyes buddy
I absolutely hate you (joke) I was going to just buy a cheap joystick and tune it up, but you have just about sold me on this thing which I really don't need but now kind of want.. 😂
Nice video Argsy, thanks for the info about Fs19 seeing as I have a corrupted fs22 copy with suspected mod conflicts.

Haha, I've been like that for ages and still find myself going back to controller. Live streams though are a good excuse for using the wheel

Nice! I haven't spent as much time using it as I should, so equally going to force myself to play with the wheel more and more!
I know what I want for Xmas. Awesome video Args
Great info. Sold me on it. What was the first map that you had there with the joystick and the bale.
Glad it helped. Map is Chilliwack by Chumpy Farmer, a map I've had a long running series on
I'm definitely going to get one. Great video thanks.
Preordered one, think they took far more preorders than stock. Looking forward to it when it’s in stock.
Good video Args. I personally think the Hori looks like the best joystick but a farmstick for the left-hand and the hori on the right is my dream setup.
Doesn't seem like spreading of forks, or vertical tilt of foragers are default bound?

Hi I need one for ps5 Joystick which one works for Farming Simulator 22 On PS5 tho I have a G29 Steering Wheel
Sorry, I have tested both the Thrustmaster and Hori controls on PS5 and neither of them seem to work.
@@ArgsyGaming oh ok sorry I’m looking for it Joystick I could loading my Bales Stacks easy to do wit ps5 Controller tho it’s sucks

@ Perfect! As said, thx for a really good video and now also a quick answer.
Thank you, well done! What is that small screen in front of your keyboard?
The tablet? Using simdash on an android device which can take live data from game and display it like a tractor monitor.
That is pretty nice! Thank you.
Here in France out of stock before it go out😢
Does the plate the wheel attaches to go down all the way flat? Would like to use this for racing, but the angle seemed a bit high still
sorry for the late reply - It does have quite a bit of movement, but can't quite go 90deg.
@@ArgsyGaming okay, that's what I wanted to know. Thanks!
Can the farm stick link up with a Logitech wheel
yes, the game sees it as a separate controller so can do whatever you like with it
do you have to have the steering wheel to use them? i have the g29 and i wanna know if it works for it
no, the Thrustmaster Farmstick is completely independant of the steering wheel, so can work with whatever you already have. The bracket though is only compatible with the T128 and T248 wheels.
This caught my eye right away but its basically sold out or not available anywhere. Shame.
I have the Thrustmaster farm stick, no, I have a problem. I have all the default settings, but the clamp does not open, which settings should I change?
Not sure exactly, best option is to fihure out the keyboard or mouse control for that action, then compare to the key bindings for the joystick
What is your opinion on this set up compared to the Logitech heavy equipment pack?
I never tried the heavy equipment pack, so can't compare but this is a nice setup, plenty of options on the joystick and the wheel is nice and adaptable.
nice video what map are you playing on with this video thanks
thanks - the map was Chilliwack BC by Chumpy Farmer
@@ArgsyGaming thank you
Is it posible on ps5 because I want to buy one but i want to know that before i buy it
The wheel would work but not the joystick unfortunately.
We're did you buy this in New Zealand
Thrustmaster sent it to him @19:10
@@nochops1781 found one not released here till the 8th of this month with a price tag $199 nz dollars
Where did you get it it’s sold out everywhere
I was lucky enough to get it direct from Thrustmaster, I have heard they will have it back in stock in March
I'm disappointed that the farm stick doesn't work with the xbox console. I like to switch between my laptop and console for playing farming simulator
Yeah it is a shame it doesn't work with consoles
Es compatible con pley 5 el joystik
Not at the moment. They are releasing an Xbox version soon, and expect a PS5 version to follow sometime in 2025
Hey hey 👋 how's it going g mate
ITS in ..... I purchased the same setup
So onward to Makin quality new videos and following your lead
nice, enjoy it and good luck!
Hey hey ARGSY
JUST WANTED TO SAY the FOV your using man is quite difficult to watch your videos since you rendering it over 70 right
Cuz man it messes with my eyes buddy
Also Also.... the camera movements are 👌 but are to be desired
Does it work on ps5
I don't believe the Farm Stick will work for Farm Sim
Hey cuzzy bro from across the dutch
Kiaora neighbour!
I absolutely hate you (joke) I was going to just buy a cheap joystick and tune it up, but you have just about sold me on this thing which I really don't need but now kind of want.. 😂
I meant to ask, do I need a thrustmaster wheel for this? or is it USB? I have a Logitech wheel which obv. is a different setup
sorry for the late reply, you can use the joystick with any wheel, they are completly independant
