Hori is a reputable brand and little things like the grippy wheel surely count for something, but at that price point to lack any sort of feedback seems odd. That said if they split the pack I suspect they'd sell at least a few of the joystick portion to folks who might already have a wheel for sim racing and would like a bit more control. In either case I appreciate them sending you a kit to review (it's nice to know where that 'price point' goes ;) ) and appreciate your time and effort in the review Args.
If this is where farming sim setups are going then I can't wait for what the future will bring. This is actually what I was looking for when I bought my logitec bundle. If that ever breaks down I know what I'm getting next!😅
It's great that at present there are more peripherals being made for we nerdy cyber farmers. I do like that this is an all in one kit, but it is defintely niche for FS. All in all it looks good. I would like to see what it is like in twelve months with constant use.
Nice review Argsy, I would like this but I would need to add a small shelf to my right for the stick/ throttle body as I have a little more room for my setup than you but not much more. I will have to keep this in mind when I break my twin stick set up.
Thanks a lot for showing! 😊 Another alternative for an FS22-steeringwheel. But since my good old and trusty Logitech HEB is still in good shape there's no need to waste a thought about another steering wheel. But it's good to know that you have a good choice... Thanks a lot for the video! 😊👍🏻
Thanks for the review Argsy. Was wondering what the quality of that one would be like. Looks pretty good. Much better than the original Logitech heavy equipment bundle.
I really like the design of it. But I also use my wheel for other games like ATS/ETS2 so no force feedback is a bummer. But for just Farm Sim seems like a really immersive peripheral. .
Thank you for the great review. Is there anywhere one can download icons for Farming Simulator for labeling buttons, etc. as a set? No matter how I search Google for icons for use with labeling, all I get are results for guides to crop icons lol. I know most pf the buttons are not big enough for text labels so hoping there is an icon set somewhere out there.
You're welcome. There used to be some floating around for the heavy equipment side panel a few years ago, but I haven't seen any specifically for this one
@@ArgsyGaming Yeah I never even knew about the side panel ones. I have that as well but a friend used his 3D printer to print me some swappable panels for it (three of them) whereas I just used a label maker and did text labels for ATS/ETS2, FS22 and Bus Simulator. Was awesome because I could just lift the plates off and on in a moment. Can't do that with the design of the joystick though LOL. I did try something, though. On Amazon for under 5 bucks I found stickers for vehicles for common switch labels. May not have farm equipment specific stuff, but at least they should cover the basics :)
Speaking from my experiences I've had no serious issues and found it really good to use. Others have reported steering issues but Hori are meant to have fixed it.
So far I'd have to say the Hori would be my preference, the steering is nice and it's easy to set up, I think the TM steering wheel being designed for sim racing is a bit clunky, the Sim stick is awesome though.
Hi have you had any problems with the steering? Amazon has so many really bad reviews, I have pre ordered but don’t want all the faff of having to send it back, it’s a big old box, cheers
No I haven't, but have heard of the issues. HORI released an update to the wheel firmware a week or two ago which was meant to resolve the issue as well. I have my steering limited to 360deg which may also help avoid it.
I know you meant from NZ 😜 You can buy it from other sources than just the Hori web store - Just looked and Amazon AU have it available with free shipping, plus the majority of my audience are US or European based.
Hey there, I'm new to this whole pc business, i've been a console player since fs19. I was curious if this can be paired with another joystick to logging applications.
Welcome to the dark side of PC gaming! Short answer is yes you could have both this and a second joystick set up. The difficulty of that would be how to map keybinds as there are only two options for each input, so would take a bit of trial and error
@@ArgsyGaming I see. If I had this system and separate joysticks that I plugged in depending on if I wanted to farm or log, would my key bindings be erased each time I unplugged one system?
Sorry for the late reply. It can be a bit tricky to manage keybinds - I have separated out the keybinds xml file depending on what controller I'm using, but have also been working with the FSG Modding team who make the FSG Mod Assistant to see if they could include a keybinds option within there to make managing it easier.
@@ArgsyGaming no need to apologize! I appreciate the response! Sounds like for the time being I need to just decide which system would be more useful to me and worry about how to incorporate both later on down the road. I appreciate the help!

Yeah it is great to see companies committing to this! I'd like to think FS is pretty low impact and should last some time, but time will tell!
I like it, think I prefer that to the thrustmaster system.
I was pleasantly surprised about it as well!

Glad to hear your HEB is still going strong, never had the chance to use that though. And when it does expire you know what to get to replace it!
Lots of nice toys lately. 👌👍

Interesting, hadn't thought about it for other games and how the lack of FFB might impact on those
Looks fab, but a little expensive for me 😢
It is a pricey piece of kit! Won't suit everyone for that but we'll worth it if you are invested in the game.
Are there any overlays or any kind of labels to be able to label all the buttons?

Okay so this was 3 weeks ago, I noticed on Amazon it’s only bad reviews, I’d like to get one but I’m confused on if it’s good or it’s not
Speaking from my experiences I've had no serious issues and found it really good to use. Others have reported steering issues but Hori are meant to have fixed it.
This helps a lot, for $769 Ozzie Dollars… I want to make sure it works….
Glad it helped!
Are you still using this setup and if so has there been any issues concerning purchasing this?
I want this, but I use a table and the end of it is only 2 inches. Will I be able to clamp everything in the short space I have?
I think 2 inches would be a bit on the short side - I'll try and measure it to be sure and let you know.
How would you rate the HORI vs. the T248 with farmstick & simtask steering?
So far I'd have to say the Hori would be my preference, the steering is nice and it's easy to set up, I think the TM steering wheel being designed for sim racing is a bit clunky, the Sim stick is awesome though.
nice, but like all these tings, verry expensive. wish I had the money for it.

On their web site they say they don't ship internationally so what is the purpose of showing us this from australia

Is this usable on Xbox
No, It's PC only unfoftunately.

Just wondering what mod the ford is from?
It's from North West Mods and Edits on Facebook
@@ArgsyGaming thank you!
