Hey man, this is my ex brother in law, used to go see him with his moms and sister. This guy gave a square dude from Austin TX a pass in the streets of the Town. Aside from that, he shot straight to me and educated me on life. He encouraged me to finish at Berkeley and do bigger things. Thank D. You'll always be my brother!

Go to school, read books and try to stay involved in positive constructive activities and conversations to strengthen the mind from degenerating and get released the same person are worse. I've never heard of this man but he's such a stand-up human being, not for what he did to go to prison or for going to prison. He's an amazing person for the growth he's had and his viewpoints on life and the way he talks about it that's all about telling kids what WILL happen to you instead of using it as his own time to shine. This entire interview, he's just a good man and I love the random smiles he does when Vlad is or isn't talking because it shows that he still has joy. Even when he talks about himself, it's not about drugs, it's about how he was able to develop a strong business mindset at an early age which I think can help other kids but in a positive direction.

When I watch these drug dealer interviews, it reminds me of when I was a kid...maybe about 13 or 14 and KRS1 dropped "Love's Gonna Get You."
Growing up in New Orleans with all kinds of drug dealing going on, that song laid it all out for me clearly. Hearing these dudes 30 years later, saying it never ends well, and that it's not worth it, I thank KRS1 for making it clear to me as a kid.

Great interview. Lil D is a great storyteller. I’m happy VLAD let him talk without a lot of interruption. I hate how drugs has crippled our community. But this man served more than the time he deserved. I hope he will use the rest of his life to dissuade our youth from street life.

I'm from Detroit and knew all about the white boy Rick situation. I knew a lot of dudes and females in my hood who hung around and where part of YBI. I chose a different path in life. Lil D its because he is WHITE BOY RICK. Not black boy Lil D. They look at it as "our" story not being unique. They have the mindset that we are all criminals in their eyes. That's why there is no televised story....well most of them that used to be on America's Most Wanted or American Justice. Its a vicious cycle. But Im glad you are out. You seem to be such a nice person with a heart of gold.

I live in San Francisco also, and would love to meet him or go to one of his mentor speaking or anything if anyone has any information on it?
