- Former D.C. drug kingpin Tony Lewis Sr. sat down for his first-ever VladTV interview, and he started off speaking to Vlad about growing up in D.C. in the 1970s. He explained that he had a hard upbringing, and Tony spoke about how he ended up in the streets at 14 because he saw his mother struggling to make ends meet. From there, Tony detailed his early operations as a teen and how he switched things up by getting a house and a crew. Tony also spoke about an incident that led to him getting involved in a federal investigation with someone who cooperated and told everything. Tony then spoke about his case, including spending $200,000 on a lawyer, which he said was a “waste” because they were trying to make an example out of him and his co-defendants. During the conversation, Tony spoke about his experiences in prison and how his son kept him going while he was starting his own non-profit organization to give back to his community. To hear more, including Tony speaking about his release from prison, hit the full interview above.

He did the crime. He did the time. He learned his lesson. I love his father and son relationship. I wish him the best.
I’ve been waiting to see an interview from Tony Lewis, Sr since he was released. I moved to the DMV in 1987 from Texas. I was 7 years old at that time and 9 years old when he and Rayful were arrested. I was too young to pay any attention to their trial but I do remember it being on the news. By the time I was in my early 20’s, I was more familiar about their case and what they were arrested for. I actually met Tony Jr when I was at a function and he was advocating his fathers release then. I’m glad to see that his work payed off and to see him and his father together again is amazing. They are currently in the city still raising awareness on incarceration even after his fathers release.
Q a
His story deserves a Movie
The real pursuit to happiness 💯💯DC or Nothing
What's the movie going to say? He sold drugs and went to jail. How many times have ww heard this story? And how many more times are we going to hear it again
L.A all day..Do Or die don't try..
L.A all day do or die or don't try..
@@tonymark4536 His story is different because his incarceration had a positive impact on his son. His son became a community activist NOT another statistic
trained myself to wait for the full interview with Vlad 😂 This one was worth the wait
I did the same thing been strong for like 3 yrs I don’t watch the clips unless it’s an interesting title of a Nigga that I’m not watching the full interview lol
You are better than me. He gets me with the clips every time
I sholl keep scrolling till the full junt come out
On God...
Me too...😂😂😂😂I'm sick of him chopping it 20 times😢
Tony, I have 3 sons myself and I'm proud of your son! God Bless you Brother, I'm happy you're reunited with your family.
This guy is so cool... I pray his life filled with happiness and blessings ❤
Right he same like he would be a cool uncle hope get to live a full life.
Wtf is wrong with yall community? This guy DESTROYED thousands n thousands of children’s lives n their families by getting sooooo many people heavily addicted to hardcore drugs. Y’all always yap about some evil white dude that shot 1 person yet you’ll have a black dude who killed or had countless young black dudes killed plus all the children’s lives who were ruined n all the black women who’s lives were destroyed n ended up selling their bodies n even worse n you will praise them n wish they have a great successful life. It is INSANE !!! It’s be like white people wishing the leader of the aryan brotherhood or Dahmer to end up having some great successful life. It would never ever happen.
man im from the dmv... this man son went so hard for him. nothing but respect for that man
Unless he murdered ppl, cocaine shouldn't carry a 30yr sentence is not acceptable. Legal pharmaceutical companies slanging daily. This government letz drugs come in and out this country with no problems.

This guy is 8 years older than I am he's like 61 and he preserved himself in prison Wow.
Yeah I was trying to figure out his age I was like damn my man looks way younger than that. But thinking on it I have a cousin who went to prison at 18. Got out a few days before his 40th bday. I swear he looked younger than me and I’m a year younger than him.
It's because of sunlight. The uv rays are what ages everybody.
Tony Lewis Jr always spoke highly of Tony Sr and I knew their bond was like no other. Sr blessed to have a kid like Jr bc most kids will move on. Also that shows mw the kind of father Sr was to have that impact on Jr for him to stand tall all these years fighting for his father freedom. We need a movie on them two alone 100.
I'm surprised Vlad never asked him if he knew 2 Pac & Suge Knight 😂
Lmaooo..Word! He always squeezes that question in
🤣
Great interview. Salute Tony Lewis Sr. for showing these kids its not all glitz and glamour, its a losing game, welcome home bro much success to you in your future, as a free man and great job Tony Lewis Jr on never giving up and on putting that work in to help your father come home.
This guy is amazing…I wish him and family best in life
Really good interview; his apology at the end was so genuine. All the best to him.

Dc soldier . Welcome home champ
I am Grateful to See this Man free I have heard his name so many Years. Tony Lewis Tell Your Story we are praying for you and Family💜 This Was One of the Best Interviews This Year VLAD.💯
You can tell he's ole school. He is rocking Sergio Tacchini sweat jacket, which was name brand sweat suits back in the late 80's and early 90's! I remember my cousin gave me one of his sergio Tacchini sweat suits, and I got robbed on a bus for my jacket! I was like 13 years old, and this grown ass man stuck me up with a 38 caliber gun!
Big Ups to this brother! I pray his transition becomes easier and things work out for the better... I like how he's accepted responsibility and has a sense of helping the community with the monster many if us has help create.. praying for you brother 💯
I nearly died when Mr. Lewis said, “Others of his kind….”😂☠️
It was 40:50 for me “FUCKED UP” 😂💀
One of the best interviews on here yet much love.
This was a good positive interview I rarely comment but I felt the need to comment on this
i love the way he told the raw truth of the reality of the system trying to take your life
and Corrected Vlad
I know he feels blessed to have such a good son
So happy to see Tony Lewis Sr.
This the first guy who said he's not proud of helping destroy his community and sound genuine.
I respect his conversation and conversion! I wish him the best and pray 🙏🏾 he becomes the Change the city needs and that they hear him 👑

This interview is one of the top.. respect ✊🏾
He is really DC at his core. He gives me flash backs of my time in the dmv. Got me lunching 😂😂😂
These are great brothers who get caught up in a system of survival a vicious cycle trying to make it very few opportunities bck THeN coupled with the same racism you see today along with extreme poverty these kids will never see....the injustice thats this world provides on a daily basis has created mental illness ....much luv to Tony Lewis Sr and his son for staying strong i dont know how i would have handled it...much support
I believe it's super poverty & opportunity to make $10000 a wk minimum whose gonna step away from that especially when it's right there all day u just gotta say yes ...no one turns that down no matter what they say
I have seen a lot of your interviews but to me this is the best one by far!!!! Mr. Lewis was so wonderful, grateful and truthful in telling his truth!!! I hope that God continues to bless his "new journey in life"!
I read his son’s book SLUG 🐌 a while ago! I’m from DC so it’s a really good read
Definitely was a good book. DC native.
@@zephrenjames.4241 yea, I got my copy singed when his son came to Busboys and Poets Brookland
Nice 👍🏽
I'm reading it now.
Welcome home homie. I remember dragging u on the racqett ball court up lompoc and cumberland. I miss u my brother and hope to catch up with u soon. Ya baltimore homie Moe! Love u my brother! Keep ya head up! Good man and straight up soldier. Honor and respect to u!
Tony DC to the core. Sergio Tacchini suit. Those were the wave when he went to prison and they came back around, when he got released. I remember the DC and Philly cats used to wear those heavy in the early 90s.
You can still go up in Georgetown and get it!😂 Them guys who run the stores, their most famous words when they see you is "For You My Friend!!😂😂😂
I really love this interview and I applaud this brother. God bless you brother and your son.
Very humble dude. Wish tge best for him. Really enjoyed his story!
Epitome of DC: low key, out the way, we ain’t never chasing the clout just get the money 🙏🏽
😂😂 Stop it
Love this interview ❤❤❤
Growing up in DC, I remember this brother, crazy days. Brother Lewis paid his debt to society, gave an apology on the damage he helped to cause, best wishes and success to him. Salute brother Lewis.
Vladimir always gotta talk about how BMF flew him out we get it vlad 🙄

Im from Zimbabwe based in South Africa, l just love these stories they keep me in check ✔️✅, lm a farmer and breeding pigs 🐷🐖🐷🐖 minding my business l don't want to end up in jail
It's fascinating how he looks come after 34 years in the pen.He kept his piece of mind.
I from dc NE side. Tony a legend.
Being locked up for 30 plus years doesn't make you a legend. The man regrets what he went through. Let's stop glorifying our ppl locked up.
I was born in 1991. Tony Lewis is a legend on my city and his son Tony Lewis Jr a legend as well to our community. Happy these brothers are reunited and heathy with a clear mind and direction

You right about that! He is sharp

Great interview
Man great interview Tony is a true legend a stand up legend amazing interview brother we glad you home
I remember my high school friend / college friend he did 2 years at NSU; last 2 years enrolled in Howard University. He said" it was just like a black cloud covered the whole city. How a fun place ( chocolate city) turned into everything that comes with addiction. The children have horror stories, and now those children are adults. Look at how we are living now😮
It was cool. I was at Howard in 1987 and been in DC ever since. Rayful would be on the yard every Friday. I never did drugs and am doing well now.

I'm happy for both Tony's,I'm Latino from uptown My unk and I both been in the feds too Mt pleasant area to be exact much respect to both of them
Loved that interview. Hopefully he can get a movie deal.....
Marion Barry was a heavenly character. Vlad when people pass away don't taint their name with the word hell. You could've just said "He was a character." Let the man rest.
Facts
Crazy people bash Marion Barry career for getting caught smoking dope when crack was heavy he was a civil rights activists for decades and walked side by side with MLK put some respect on the man's name
How many times u goin say the Friday with Smokey line lol
Hearing about Rayful Edmond or even Felix Mitchell makes me miss that show American Gangster. It used to be on BET, they had a bunch of seasons and covered all those guys and many others. I can't find it anywhere to watch them now.
Homie went in a young buck and came out a grandpa THIS should be a lesson to all the youth!
What do you think the lesson.. lessons are?
Welcome home brother‼️💯
PG County checking in. Shout out chocolate city, I love my area.
Man I’m from D.C. grew up in N. E. Deanwood and kinilworth. All I knew was selling drugs was a way to make money. It’s only because of GODS grace that I did not get any jail time.

Wow this guy was only out 18 days here. He seems like a relaxed grandfather who is kind and grateful to be out. I know he sold drugs but nobody deserves life in prison for drug sales nobody forced anyone to buy them drugs. If we ended the drug war and had safe regulated drugs adults could use at supervised clinics or at home it wouldn’t be dangerous it’s into dangerous and only creates crime because it’s illegal we need to regulate the drug market so people can have safe drugs and to put an end to criminality of it then prisons would be 95% empty and the government would need to find something new to lock people up to profit billions for
@celebratecrypto until we expose the school to prison agenda big business generated off of prison system laws applied equally to ALL our rights upheld n recognized by those who job it is to enforce law juz to mention a few other than demolish justice system and restructure it must have a starting point til then each must recognize realize with realizes agh ight 4realtho
His son is a good hearted young man and he deserves to be respected and his father to be proud of him.
Tony Sr. is a stand up guy . 👍
All the best in the future, seems very sincere Mr Lewis, from Dublin city centre Ireland projects.
This why I fought for custody of my son!!! The greatest allies you’ll ever have are the people that you created!!!
Finally someone who is telling the truth about how things were in the 80's People were smoking coccinellids, they just had to cook it themselves.
Great interview. I truly wish the guy the best. Despite the illegal activity, it sounds like he has always been a good father and was able to make a positive influence on his son.
