I just received a Black & Decker 12 cup coffee maker as a gift two months ago and I love it. Mine has a different style carafe and a button for strong coffee. Using this feature will increase brewing time, but well worth the wait. At last, I'm making delicious coffee! Something that's eluded me for many years.
My Kuerig of 3 years finally quit on me. I just bought this, and I'm liking it so far! It's nice to wake up to fresh coffee. I would recommend to this woman. Buy a coffee grinder, and whole beans. More work, but the reward afterwords is worth it! :)
Thankful my mom always bought quality stuff and would grind her own beans with a grinder my dad bought her. I also only get fresh whole beans from my local coffee roasters🤤😋

Yeap I like the simple Coffee maker better then the sostificated ones. I gave away three expensive ones they were very complicated to figure out and it would take lots of time to make the Coffee. I bought one mini mr Coffee for 19 dollars which works much better then the 200 or 250 dollar machine that I bought. This one in the video looks great.

purchased my programmable carafe style and for some reason it started doin the 2-4 cup program and wont stop so to make a full pot i have to push the brew button a 3 or 4 times

Is there any way to override the auto shut off on the coffee pot? I like to drink my coffee throughout the day and I just wasn't happy when I went to get a cup the other day and the coffee was cold :(
Hi Christine, I don't think there is a way to shut that off. For your needs, it may be best to buy a coffee maker with a thermal carafe, so your coffee stays hot throughout the day :) Here is a link to thermal carafe options: amzn.to/2qXlnbP
Then you should have made some fresh coffee. Coffee is no good once it's sat 2 hours or over, this maker shuts off at 2 hours. It's actually closer to 30 mins to an hour when coffee begins to ruin from sitting on heat so long. Burnt coffee is no good. If you like burnt coffee its better to just go buy it at a local convenience store, they always have rurnt burnt coffee!

If your coffee has sat for 2 hours or more it's burnt and not fit to drink. This thing cuts off after 2 hours. Coffee isn't meant to sit in a pot on heat forever, it ruins it. If you want burnt coffee just go to a local convenience store, they always sell burnt coffee. That or in the waiting room at the Walmart oil and lube department.
Hi, make sure there is no coffee in the unit. Fill reservoir with 1/2 vinegar, 1/2 water. Run a cycle, stop halfway and leave alone for 30 minutes. Run the rest of the cycle. Discard vinegar/water. Fill reservoir with just water and run cycle. Repeat with another cycle of fresh water. Hope that helps 😀

I purchased one of these for $20.00+ less than one year ago. I got what I paid for. Floods the Basket far to often when brewing a full pot. Keep your volume at four cups or less and it will give you a less than acceptable, semi ground free cup of coffee. If you have any suggestions on a good coffee maker please let know.

Wouldn’t the quality of how the cup of coffee taste be all about the quality of the actual coffee grounds used? And the strength of the cup of coffee also about the grounds and the amount used? I’ve never thought a bad cup of coffee had to do with the machine being used.
On anything like that I alway's experiment--when I find the right amount---quantity of ground's to quantity of water---it almost becomes an" acquired habit" to gauge the right amount's-I suppose it sound's like i am "programming" myself---and maybe I am--taste is important--getting it right---at least for yourself becomes something of an "art"---(the old "percolator's" were a different story--I was used to those---but they run "boiling water" thru the ground's which I believe to be a bit hotter when it goes thru-realy steaming-and a greater quantity per time of activity--there are some differences in end result)

I just received this model as a Christmas present, and it will not hold water. Any I put in drains everywhere. At first I thought it wasn't brewing in the morning because I put too little water in, as I was only putting in an 18oz traveller mug worth of coffee in. Tonight I put in 8 cups worth, and almost all of it drained all over my counter. Has anyone experienced this? If so, how do I fix it????
Hi Scott, check to make sure the basket is seated properly and the lid snaps when closed. If that doesn't solve the problem, you may have a defective unit. As you saw, mine worked without any problems. I would suggest exchanging it for another unit if you continue to have problems.

Yes! If I make more than 8 cups of coffee, the water and grounds in the basket overflow and get into the brewed coffee. I have to stop the machine intermittently so the liquid can drain into the pot.

Easy to use. Just fill the reservoir, ick single or pot and press the center button.
How to program your coffee pot:
Hit the program button and set the time for the clock

Dosent matter you can use either or i just use paper filter's so i don't have to clean it.

Saron M yes. Sea-salt size coffee grain for flat bottom filters and granulated sugar size coffee grain for cone filters always

Hi Scott, check to make sure the basket is seated properly and the lid snaps when closed. If that doesn't solve the problem, you may have a defective unit. As you saw, mine worked without any problems. I would suggest exchanging it for another unit if you continue to have problems.

Yes! If I make more than 8 cups of coffee, the water and grounds in the basket overflow and get into the brewed coffee. I have to stop the machine intermittently so the liquid can drain into the pot.

She's using some type of cheapo coffee. You can tell by how light and see through it is as it's poured out of the pot.

Because, coffeemakers do not heat water to boiling temp as you do on the stove 😀
195 degrees F is optimal temperature for making coffee, not 212 F which is boiling.
