Zaheen had completed his education and was looking for jobs. Whereas, Sara was a uni student which makes her quite a few years younger than him. Any other girl/guy wouldn't have made it this obvious but Sara's nature and behavior does. Considering how serious, calm and collected Zaheen's personality was, it was a treat to watch him fall for this girl. That's it.
To make you clear about my 'age' point: Even you know that Zaheen and his family's priority would've been a well settled or well mannered girl, probably around his age. But Sara you see is quite younger than him. Even her nature and behavior add more to this.
Talking about myself, I love twisted or unusual stories and this, for me was one of 'em as everyone's choices/crushes are mostly around their own age, their classmates etc. Here, the case was different. And the fact that Zaheen protects her like a precious thing is just like a cherry on the top!
