Has anyone else tried the multi exposure mode for this kind of stuff? Have you had decent results?
You need to make a separate video for that feature Brent because I could not understand how that thing works. Thanks also for this another quality video from you. Hoping this freewell will become available here in my country.
Keep talking. Some of us have an attention span more than a goldfish and appreciate you talking your way through
Exactly!
Just got a new S23 Ultra last week and I'm loving it so far.
Amazing 👏🏻 ❤🎉
Been looking at this for a while now, definitely getting it!!
Oh nice! I'm glad the video helped.
i love this channel plz keep uploading!!!!!!!!
Thank you! Will do!
As usual, great job. Always enjoy hearing you talk with the "camera lady."😊
Why thank you! 😀🙏
Thanks for sharing 👍
Way cool!
FINALLY!!!! I been waiting for something like this.. I like my beastgrip cage but its bulky
Great video. Definitely bummed no S23 Ultra options from Moment. I’m going to check out the Freewell kits.
Do it man, soooo worth it!
They seriously hook it up with the ND filter starter kit!
Nice video..good share..congratulations for the 100k sub..🎉🎉🎉
thank you for the video, can u show us how can we use the filters for making better videos also?
Fantastic
I have these filters. Basic na 8 16 32 and 64. I still need to buy a polarizing one. It's a pity that they don't have half filters for this case. To sunset.
Thanks a lot for yet another excellent video. I tend to think that the fotodiox ninja system is superior: it is dirt cheap ($15), it works on any phone (I won't have to invest another few hundred dollars when I change phone) and it works with the filters that I already use for my camera lenses. Also, it enables stacking a CPL and an ND exactly like i would on a camera lens.
Oh nice. I hadn't heard of that one, but being that cheap, at least it would be worth trying. no matter what, and very replaceable!
Can Freewell circular nd filters clip on the CP?
Very instructive vídeo. Thank you so much for the content that you create. I was wondering if this case system is compatible with the s22 ultra?
Thanks man, I'm glad you liked it! Unfortunately, the filters and case are only available for the S23 Ultra and iPhones right now. I'm not sure if/when they might expand that with other models.
@@BrentHallsad, that's a bummer. I have the s22 ultra too
Thanks a lot for trying the expert raw multiple exposure feature. I have not got any good results with it because i don't have a tripod and always gets blury. I tried it in different compositions but seems useless. Any ideea if there is a specific use case for it? As i see it, the filters remain the optimal choice.
Thanks again for your review and good work! Very good content!
I think it's a good idea, and a good start, but I know it could be done better. The Pixel has been able to do it for a while and does better job, still not as good as legit filters, but definitely better than the S23 for now.
I am just a regular user that uses auto settings from the camera. Does the filter improve the quality even on auto mode?
Are they compatible with magbak case?
This is my favorite mobail one day I buy it nice vedio bro
Brent I'm with you! Definitely bummed out about Moment, they really dropped the ball with Samsung product support! I actually just bought the freewell galaxy s23 ultra starter kit.
After seeing them in action, I'm super stoked to get them, great timing dude!
Here's to living in a simulation!
Yeah, it's definitely a bummer about Moment, but to be fair, I don't think it's really their fault. I know that Samsung made it really difficult for Moment to work with them and I just think that when you add in that (speculation) moment's core audience and user base is probably largely iPhone users, then you could kind of understand them having to cut their losses with trying to deal with Samsung.
I am glad that Freewell was able to make this happen for the S23U though, and hopefully they'll be able to both keep it up and expand for other galaxy versions in the future.
I hear you man, but when a company like Freewell can put out products for both iPhone and the S23,I definitely struggle to give moment a pass.
I'm literally blown away with all that freewell includes in the ND starter kit... it's SO smart, and seriously...generous company. That magnetic snap... SOOOO satisfying!
Moment is an American company, so yeah they only support Apple. Freewell is in Hong Kong thats the diffrence. Here in the US companies only support Apple.
I've got the s23 ultra and I'm debating if to get them or not what do you think
Hi, do you know if Freewell cases support M series lens?
Camera Lady, You did a fine job. Your video looks great. Were you using a phone camera or a dedicated camera?
Brent, Thanks for the tips on Freewell photo accessories for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
She says, many thanks! And that she was using a Canon R6 mk ii. 😁
@@BrentHallThanks again.
Those filters looks very nice. Thanks for video :)
I have a question, what is the best landscape budget lens for intermediate photographer?
That's a really tough question to answer. short version, there isn't one specific lens that I would say is the best. It really depends on your needs and what kind of stuff you want to shoot. Instead of actual lenses, I'd look more into what focal lengths you want and go from there. In the canon RF world, an rf 24-105 (non L version) and RF 100-400 would be a great start though.
@@BrentHall I think about shooting landscapes, I live in Norway so there are beautiful views like mountains and Fjords :) So maybe i'll try this 24-105mm I have Canon r7 also i have 70-200mm which is pretty good for some kind of landscape photos
Nice video Brent. Im a little confused about the cpl you used mate. I bought one from freewell with their case but the magnet dont seem strong enough. As i turn the filter, the thing falls off and now ive lost confidence in freewell. My cpl covers 4 lenses and is meant to be magnetic unlike the one you showed that was screw on. Any advice please?
I didn't know they offered a magnetic cpl for the S23 Ultra? That's crazy. Unfortunately there's not really any advise I could give since I don't have that magnetic cpl option. Maybe contact them and tell them what's up and see if you could exchange it for the one that locks into the case?
If you have any influence with Freewell, try to convince them of the interest in a magnetic CPL filter. I've talked to them, and they said they can make one, but don't think there would be any interest.
Which lens is good for bright sunlight
Poor camera lady.. she's carrying all your camera gear... Brent.. how could you. Another great video from you guys. 😁
Nah, she's got her own camera gear. And usually, I'm quite the gentleman who is glad to carry all of her gear for her so she doesn't have to, on top of all of mine, and my son's stuff as well, but then... that might have something to do with why I need yet another surgery and a new shoulder and knee 🤔😶🫠
Hey brent, was wondering, how to get the grip for the handphone. Thanks
This is the one I have:
amzn.to/3pG7iyZ
Hey brent, why dont you try the sony xperia 1v that is releasing soon, its expensive but i heard it has a super camera
I'd love to, but I can't afford it. I'll be paying off this s23 for another 2.5 years.
Hi, do you still recommend the Freewell magnetic case and ND filters?
I still use mine, and I'm happy with them.
Will those filters work on S22 ultra as well? Thanks for the amazing content
I think they're only for the s23 Ultra right now.
What's the brand of that camera handle please? I can't find it in your description?
It's the Freewell grip. The first link in the video description.
Sir I do mobile photography I liked this video very much but I can not buy this ND filter it is very expensive for me. But thanks to you, I really enjoyed watching this video 🙂😃
Have actually had a question with these cases and filters & lenses, is there any risk of damage to your phone when using them?
How is even possible to damage your phone by using a case and lenses attached to the CASE?
Try to colorize or balance ur shots... great video!
I wish Samasung would make forst party accessories like filters' lenses' and gibals for their phones since they target videographers and photographers in their keynotes
Will your moment lenses work with the Freewell case?
I don't think so.
@BrentHall if you have any, could you try and let us know?
The mounting points look the same that's why I'm curious.
So what the differences between the raw nd filter to physical nd filters
I made another video showcasing that. Samsung added the new electronic nd filters after I made this video. Here's the other one:
ua-cam.com/video/a9DKxY83lSk/v-deo.htmlsi=63jjPyOobVRpcVAT
thanks for this video
You're welcome, thanks for watching!
What camera brace are you using?
If by brace, you mean the tripod mount? That's part of the freewell ecosystem, and the links for everything I'm using are in the video description.
Does that works with S22 Ultra. Thanks
No it doesn't.
It's annoying freewell doesn't make a case for the S22 Ultra, the S23 Ultra is slightly larger and the cameras where moved up very slightly so the camera holes won't line up with the S22 Ultra.
Yeah. It doesn't seem like they'll go backward anytime soon, but hopefully they will at least keep up with new models moving forward.
Can the filter be used for video ?
Absolutely! Their nd filters, circular polarizers, mist filters, and anamorphic lenses are all perfect for video.
@@BrentHall where can i buy these as i am in the u.k ?
@@London0701 As far as I know, their website seems to be the only place to get them at the moment. The link is in the description, so you'd have to go check it out there and see if they have shipping to your area.
@@BrentHall thanks , by the way i love watching your lightning videos will you be doing more soon ?
@London0701 I mean, I'm always wanting to do lightning videos. I'm just waiting on monsoon season and the storms to show up in my area. Hopefully we'll get some this next month or so.
The trouble is, the filter is engineered to fit the s23 Ultra only. It is unlikely to fit any new phones from Samsung. It is incredibly stupid because the filter are so expensive. They could easily have engineered the filters to fit a square cutout. Case and ND filters cost 130 euros together. Moment does a circular screw mount with square cut out which covers four of the s23 ultra’s lenses. So only the wide angle lens is not covered. With variable ND filter, this comes to about 90 euros and can be used with multiple phones. This here is just an advert for Freewell.
Yeah, I definitely wish they'd do something that is more future proofed for their Samsung phones (and make more model cases), but I assume it would be a bit more difficult than iPhones since you never know how or how drastically Samsung will change a design in any given upcoming phone.
But also, yes, this video was sponsored by Freewell...as I said in the video...
I am simply using what I have (the S23 U), and while there may be better designed mobile filters out there, I not only don't have them, but I think that shouldn't detract from the fact that these are doing exactly what they state, very well. They are very clearly made and marked for the S23 Ultra only, and while that's a bummer, it is what it is, and IMO they are great for it. As an S23 Ultra owner, I was personally quite excited to finally have some filters made specifically for my phone (which I will own and be paying off for at least the next 2.5 years).
That being said, other than this video being sponsored, I am not associated with Freewell, and I couldn't care less if someone wants to go with another filter brand. You gotta go with whatever works for you. I just made a video about I have, and if it helps you by discovering that these aren't right for you, then cool.
my only concern is this is only gonna work for the s23 ultra, and the s24 ultra is just 7 months ahead... that's the issue with samsung, for iphone the kit work in the 13 and 14.
Yeah, I wonder about that too. I guess it will just depend on how similar Samsung will design the camera layout on he back. It's unfortunate that Samsung is always changing their layouts enough to really give accessory makers a hard time.
Poor design for S 23 u to have a filter installed. Also difficult get setting right! It's just not a replacement for regular cam & better iq quality
Freewell link not working.
I just checked and it looks like their site is down for maintenance right now. I found it on amazon though and just updated the link for that, so it should be good now. Sorry about that.
@@BrentHall okay, thanks. I appreciate that.
Also, your videos are awesome.
@javabl3ck thanks man, I appreciate that!
Sorry website was under maintenance it's back online.
Samsung not Ai
It's a shame it's only available on the Ultra, the regular one has a main camera capable of great photos as well and I cannot find something as good for my regular s23..
Yeah, that's definitely a bummer. I sure hope they are able to expand and get compatible with some other phones soon.
When I use expert raw it just comes out blurry 😂
This could be due to the focus. If you swipe the settings to the right, you can reset them all to auto. You can leave it on auto for most situations unless you want to focus on a specific subject or are doing astrophotography.
Expert raw also has significantly more shutter lag than pro mode or the the regular modes. Couple that with if you're doing long exposures or using the multi exposure feature, then you'll definitely want a tripod.
all this fafing about could be done at home before actual demonstration and actual demonstration could be shrunken to minimum time and maximum informative content.
Yeah, that's definitely one of my biggest struggles, for sure. Sorry I wasted your time.
Talk to much !
Tell me about it! And, that was AFTER I edited out another 12 minutes. 😅
Great video. Is the sleeve on your right Shimoda strap that you slip your s23 into part of the Shimoda or an add on. I'd love to have that on my shoulder strap.
