I see so few reactions to Dubioza which makes me appreciate yours all the more. My wie and I learned of the band over a decade ago when they did a USA tour (St Louis, MO) and a couple Bosnian friends dragged us to the concert. We get to do working vacations in Europe every other year or so, We've planned those times around catching at least one Dubioza concert ever since we "discovered" them🙂 So, glad to see more Americans enjoying their whole presentation and vibe.
And the phrase "small hands get together" is part of the old movie "train in snow". The movie is about children who went on a field trip and on the way back snow falls so much that the train gets stuck, since it was a "school train" there were few grown ups and all the children got to digging the snow to clear the way for the train. They were singing this song to keep the spirit high. And ruff translation goes When the small hands get together everything is possible. Well, you got the basic ideas: it is about peace in the world. But to understand it completely you should learn the Bosnian language to get all the jokes. It takes only about a few weeks - but they are worth it! This song contains so much more meaning than you can understand just by watching the subtitles. And after that you can get on to "himna generacije". Thanks to Dubioza Kolektiv for making me an addict of Bosnian language and culture! Promise: as soon as I can I will visit the Balkans!

Fortunately, my German university sponsored a Srbo-Hrvazki-crash-course before we (a group of about 10 students) went to Zagreb. A few months after we came back to Germany the war broke out. As we became friends to several Yugoslavians in Zagreb we were very interested in news about the war - although as in every war, Truth was the first victim. Since then, I came back to Croatia very often and still am very interested in Balkan languages. According to a severe illness, I was not able to do anything during my summer holidays this year. But I discovered Dubioza Kolektiv and decided to learn at least a bit of Bosnian language. It was so much fun! Please, wish me well for gaining back my health and visiting Bosnia, Herzegovina, Serbia ..., and Albania! Let an elderly lady have her dreams. Fortunately, my language skills are bad enough to convince everybody in the Balkans that I am trying to speak her/his language.😀
This is your second video on Dubioza Kolektive that I have seen, and you are not just son and dad goofing around. Dubioza is a very serious band that is politically very active it happens that they are multi talented and that they have excellent cartoons and videos beside powerfull music and great lyrics.
