In regards to fast travel, in most Zelda games I don't use fast travel because I find the horse-riding and sea-sailing quite cathartic. But not having fast travel of some kind is a drag.
Need to watch assassins creed odyssey if you like that and definitely watch days gone. Brilliant series and all are completed now so you can watch them both back to back. After these of course

Btw. The edges of the screen wrinkle when you're near a clue you have to use your spooky vision to find. It greatly helps narrowing down stuff like that wall you struggled to find.
