You could also buy a wire hose clamp maker tool I use them all the time with stainless steel wire works awesome! You could get clamps really tight and precise and you can make them any size you need and as many wraps as you want for pressure

I’ll check them out. I need to make a pair of wire clamps for the NSU’s carb. I didn’t know there was a tool. Cool tip.

This was an "ah ha" moment for me while sitting on an icy roof, intalling critter-guard on the plumbing vents. Saved me a trip down the ladder and a drive to three Home Depot's.

Are you serious? I knew that the first time I saw 2 clamps together. Probably as a kid.
Now what are you talking about zip ties?

@@jakefriesenjake Huh?! Yeah, of course I'm serious. Everybody knows about zip ties. I've been working on things for 40 years and it never occurred to me to daisy chain hose clamps. I'm sure it hasn't occurred to others, either. So yeah. I am serious.

@@RobertAdairWorkshop I guess you have a point. 20 years ago, I went through a 2 year coarse at my local trades college, for heating and cooling and gas fitting.
The first couple of weeks just blew my mind. The one teacher there had us doing "ruler" tests. He handed out sheets of paper, with pictures of a ruler on it showing the inch system. The picture had an arrow pointing to a certain measurement. We had to write down what the measurements were (to the nearest 1/16"). Blew my mind over half of the kids had no clue how to read it.
Once we got hands on, some kids had no idea how to cut soft copper tubing with small gadget pipe cutter. They squashed the pipe. Blew my mind again.
