This comeback is so underrated
PacMan Jones was literally making Plays on all 3 Phases. Crazy
He was good in Cincinnati
"I don't know why burress is smiling" 17:24 KILLS me everytime lol
😂😂😂
Giants blew a 21-0 lead all in one quarter thats an impressive choke job. The falcons were probably jealous watching this video
Eli single handedly gave that game to the titans
@@anthonyw4477 he always single handedly ruins games. With his throwing hand.
Vince Young 21-0 comeback win over Giants, that game and 2010 in the meadowlands against Eagles always haunt Giants fans
Nah. Eagles didn't win a single game for the rest of the season in 2010. Giants went on to win the SB anyway the following season. 2006 team was banged up anyway. That playoff game vs the 49ers was way worse than the two of those you mentioned combined.
Jeff Fisher failed Vince.
@Lighthouse in the Storm Too much time with a tin foil hat I see
@@runbluelizard Yep
@@runbluelizard have no idea what he just said
@Lighthouse in the Storm bro just stop watching sports
Just report him for spam.
As for Vince, the NFL hadn’t figured out that college schemes could work in the pros too. VY wasn’t the only one from that era who got chewed up and spit out by the NFL. He would have had a much better chance of succeeding if he showed up 10 years later.
He may not have turned out to be elite, but VY was not a bust. Just was ahead of his time. He would be elite today.
He’s a mix of Cam and Lamar
Well, Jeff Fisher went well out of his way to trash Young's reputation and ensure that he wouldn't succeed in the league. Fairly obvious to anyone that was paying attention at the time. Surprising VY didn't speak out even more around how Fisher had subverted him. Fisher was such a jerk...always has been.
2nd greatest comeback from this franchise
Was #1 the playoff comeback against the Chiefs?
@@TristanLockamy Against The Bills
Kenny Albert threw shade at the end to Plixico Buress" I dont know why Buress is smiling "😂🤣
Vince Young could play. Not the question. The issue is how much Jeff Fisher ruined him. I don't blame Fisher for everything, but I also see these kinds of games and say "When I have Vince Young on a final drive, I'm in pretty good hands." Ether way, this is one of these games where you see what could have been with the Titans.
Yea I feel like it was just unfortunate he ended up with Fish for a coach and vice-versa. Fisher didn't want him in the first place, the owners made him. It wasn't even about whether Vince was a good QB or not, it was a stylistic thing imo. He just didn't fit into Fishers offensive scheme, especially when you consider the type of running backs that titan's offense has always had lol.
@@sward0483 just shows you how good Steve McNair was
Vince Young was terrible; he won a handful of games against some mediocre teams and The Colts and suddenly he was the greatest thing ever, until he wasn’t, which was the very next season when defenses figured him out.
Wondering why we didn’t go for that 49 yard field goal up 21-0.
49 yard field goal used to be a lot longer than it is now. Now we see 50 plus field goals like it's nothing
@@garbagedidudirty did kickers jus get better or wat
@@BridgeEntertainment2001 yea kickers got better
Most of these young heads but don't know about Vince Young but he was THE TRUTH!!! One hell of a player 💯
Titans went on a hot streak after struggling at the start of 2006. Just missed playoffs barely after a 2-7 start.
Man this Vince Young guy is really good, I bet him & Jeff fisher will have a bright future
The answer to age old question of "What was Kiwanuka thinking?" is that he thought Young threw the ball and didn't want to get a roughing the passer penalty, because in his mind he thought Young got rid of the ball. You can see Young kind of show a passing motion and Mathias turned around looking for the ball.
Basically another game decided by the refs.
He probably wouldn't have been wrong. Just ask Clay Matthews.
You could call this the Pac-Man Jones game too. Man snapped out in the 4th quarter.
Both these #10 qbs have clutch in their genes. Both my favorite qbs ever too.
Eli is not a hof
@@rhibrammii1153 he is
@@infinite9247 ur too funny
@@rhibrammii1153 He'll get in, but you're right that he wasn't a HOF caliber QB. Those two SB runs are all he's got aside from unremarkable volume stats and consecutive starts at his position.
@@LukeR.5117 pov: u know ball
The 2006 Giants were weird, started 6-2 and like in many years during the Coughlin era regular seasons, started to struggle down the stretch. Even though they went 8-8, the NFC was weak that year that the Giants still made the playoffs
Despite the bears winning 13 games and the NFC championship the rest of the NFC was weak and fresh with competitive teams and new faces like the Saints with SP and Brees, Romo shows that he is the man to lead Dallas when healthy, and many more that came after
Jacobs/Barber as a RB duo was OP. Basically playing with cheat codes.
Jacob's and Bradshaw were a Nasty HB duo and won 2 SB together
That opening music hits different
Imagine how Vince Young’s career would have turned out if the Saints drafted him instead.
Ya if the brees free agent sweepstakes had gone different... and you see me in all the classic videos right ? Your on it like I am
Still would have been trash
Number 12 doing the Vince McMahon walk in the beginning
Hefty Lefty
Vince in this era would be a monster. OMG young Vince has some Pat Mahommes in his game, WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN
Honestly
If only he could have completed more than 50% of his passes
Best time of year is here! NFL Throwback posting classic clips of games from the weeks NFL matchups.
Great job uploading this to UA-cam in HD
Vince Young is near the top of my list of players who failed because they were on the wrong team. He was never set up to succeed there
RIP Rob Bironas
Both teams continued to go in opposite directions from where their seasons started after this game.
The Giants, after starting 6-2, finished 8-8 and barely squeaked into the playoffs. The Titans, despite the 0-5 start, also finished 8-8 and barely missed the postseason.
Also I completely forgot about that gaffe by Kiwanuka. He could've ended the comeback right there.
Kiwanuka was being safe. That was the beginning of the "You hit the quarterback 2 hard" era. He didn't want to get that stupid penalty in a clutch situation and got burned instead
Refs decided that a guy in the grasp of a defender and being driven backwards, only getting away because the defender let him go, wasn’t enough to be considered tackled.
@@bjchit I mean come on that wasnt even close to a tackle lol
@@sbrfs356 You can the NFL for penalizing basic physics with their “land with the weight of their bodies” being a personal foul.

Houston Oilers Against New York Giants Last Meeting In 1991 Thanks For Uploading
Shame the Titans never went all in with Vince Young the way the Chiefs have with Mahomes, Bills with Allen, Bengals with Burrow and so on. Weapons and playing to a QBs strengths from the first snap to the last snap vs trying to fit a "project qb" into a certain offense.
This game was so satisfying to watch after what the Giants pulled off in Philly that year.
My favorite football memory ever as a kid. Got to go to the game and tried to convince my dad to leave after the 3rd quarter. Thank god we stayed. I remember the 4th quarter like it was yesterday. We knew the D-backs coach so I got to go in the locker room after the game and got everybody's autograph. Never going to forget that day.
"RIGHT IN NO MANS LAND"
lol! Field goal kickers have gotten so much better nowadays.
If things had been different in Tennessee for Vince Young, I think we'd be talking about him when the clutch discussion was brought up. College and pros. If you take the Jeff Fisher & personal issues out, he was already in some rare air.
pacman jones made some great plays in here too
17:25 "idk why burress is smiling" LMFAOOO
97 quitting on that sack blew the whole game open. If he gets the sack the Titans lose and it was a gimmie sack if he doesn’t give up theres no way Vince gets out of it as slippery as he is
I really wanted the Texans to grab Vince. Playing at home in the Shanahan style offense with Andre Johnson woulda been so much better.
As a Giants fan, a game like this doesn't surprise me. I'm not sure what it was, if it was coaching or the players or the front office, but Coughlin's Giants could NEVER finish anything during his tenure. They were always either choking away games like this one or choking away seasons like this one. Yeah, the Giants were lucky they won 2 Super Bowls with Coughlin and Eli or else they would have been gone by the 08 season
Coughlin would've been fired if they didn't win SB42. Eli would've stayed. The players and position coaches connected well with him.
I always wondered why Vince Young never really had the career many thought he would have, you know? He came in, show promised that this would be the next big superstar, and then in a instant, all the hype just vanished.
There’s a UA-cam video of why it never worked out for Vince for his career. The main reason though is Jeff Fischer. He’s not to blame for everything but he’s one of the biggest reasons why youngs career didn’t work out at least on Tennessee. After he left tennesse, his confidence was kind of shot with him.
This was my first NFL football game
Imagine how many Careers were shattered due to Jeff Fisher alone ? Smfh
Shoutout 2 Pacman Jones
Strip club king
I remember hearing the national radio broadcast of this game by Harry Kalas.
As a Colts fan I see them play the Titans at least twice a year. Young looked like he was gonna be a REALLY good QB, but there were occasional hints that something wasn't quite right. Then the wheels seemed to start to come off near the end of his second season or so. I always wondered if perhaps he just didn't have the right temperament to play QB in the NFL. It was a shame. I enjoyed watching him play in college and was enjoying the rivalry with the Colts. Some lay the blame on Fisher, and there may be some truth to that. All I know is that I can remember thinking that if Fisher ever left the Titans, I'd be happy to have him in Indy. It always seemed like he got the most he could out of his team.
I feel that when you have a head coach who doesn't want you and didn't want to draft you it leaves a mark on a QB but Young ego also hurt him he thought because he beat the Almighty USC in that classic National Championship that he was a God and he didn't try to develop and guys like Brand Jones Paul William and Bo Scaife said in many interviews that he was never in film room always late and always the first to leave and it showed in year 2 when the offense was one of the worst offenses to make the playoffs in NFL history
Football 🏈 Is Finally Back NFL Throwback
Vince young was the greatest nfl qb I’ve ever seen
VY rookie year was special!
I remember this game like it was yesterday. Or I should say this day. And reason is I took a nap thinking it was over. When I woke up I remember my brother was on the desk top PC in our parents basement and I seen the score and couldn't believe it. I actually thought it was an Error by the network.
Let's go Titans!
Man Vince was just different wish he could’ve had a better team
Hey NFL Throwback. Can you upload the Browns last opening day win vs the Ravens Week 1 2004?
One of the 2nd greatest comebacks in this league from that team , but yeah Jeff Fisher failed Vince
Ahhhh yes the first of three 21 point leads the Giants have blown during the Eli/Coughlin era. Thank goodness for those two Super Bowls though.
Brandon Jacob's was the perfect short yardage and cold weather back who intimidated defenders I still remember my packers Charles Woodson getting ran over in the 2007 nfc championship game
Pretty wild that he had to transfer away from Auburn to see the field. Dude was a monster.
0:21 NFC East standings
DAL: would reach their peak by beating the Giants the following week, then lose 3/4 to drop to NFC-5. Season ended in Seattle with heartbreaking loss
NYG: 6-2, on a path to repeat as NFC East champions… then 4-game losing streak
CHI- Devin Hester returns a missed FG
JAX- abandon the run game
TN- blow a 21-0 4th quarter lead
DAL- Romo to Witten set up the Gramatica GW FG
Chants of “Fire Coughlin” during blowout loss to the Saints, but got in the the playoffs as the NFC-6 after win at WSH & clinching SOV over GB. Season ended at PHI. Tiki Barber retired
PHI: No McNabb for the rest of the season, they would lose on SNF at IND. Welp, season over… Or Jeff Garcia leads them to 5 straight wins, the NFC East title, and a playoff win over the Giants. Season ends with a Full Reiding in the divisional round at NO
WSH: 4-7 after home win over CAR, maybe they could make the playoffs…? How about losing 4/5 to bottom out at 5-11
Vy skill is why Kiwanuka let go , Vy did a pump fake and he stayed up after initial hit so kiwanuka thought he threw it so he stopped to avoid a penalty
Giants took the L this day but I miss Eli, every giants fan will always appreciate what he did for the NYG. dude didn't miss a single game to injury
Played hurt a lot too. He never showed that he was in pain though.
The Titans would finish 8-8 this year and Vince Young was named Rookie Of The Year sad Jeff Fisher just didn't want Young and both egos would butt heads instead of coaching and being in the film room to become a better QB
Even as devastating as loss can be, the loser team can and still will smile at the end of the game when talking to the other team.
@Lighthouse in the Storm I would rather read War and Peace than read your reply.

I still don't understand to this day how Mathias Kiwanuka missed that sack
First time I've ever seen a Monk on the sidelines lol
Announcer: I don't know why Burress is smiling.
Like why the fuck you smiling, yall just blew a 21 point lead 😂
12:51 Kiwanuka...WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!?
This comeback only happened becasue of absolutely horrific refereeing.
A BS unnecessary roughness call leads to a TD, and a BS non sack call on a 4th an 10 led to another.
This should be in the "How not to referee Hall of Fame"
people forget how good tiki barber was, same with Rhonde
Burres got hit with a stray at the end💀

How did Plaxico Burress not manage to tackle him? My God, wide receivers can be so soft sometimes.
Plaxico also kinda stopped on his route and left eli out to dry on that int
Yep.. fisher didn't want vince
Josh allen is what Vince Young could have been
A little less arm but I agree he was a beast, a winner too
12:50 A QB wearing #10 escapes the grasp of a sack…
Now where have I seen that?
Vince could have been a absolute stud if Fisher didn’t ruin his career, now some people call him a bust because of it when he was actually a 2-time Pro Bowler,he could have been an absolute stud if he was on a different team that treated him the right way,he was on a team other than the Titans, but he was mostly a backup to Michael Vick In Philly,as a Bears fan I really feel for him, this is really sad that his career was ruined by the Titans, you can fault Jeff Fisher for ruining his career, imagine if Jeff Fisher didn’t ruin his career though, then things could have been a lot different,he deserved to have a better coaching staff that never threw him under the bus when he didn’t deserve having has career ruined
Wow never heard of this game, love watching the giants choke 😂
More brutal Giants losses? Don't mind if I do!
Was there
Tiki should have stayed one more year he would have had a Superbowl.
The 2006 New York Giants known as the Bickering Giants in my opinion
Brandon Jacobs had tiki mad af
People ignore that Vy had to still get by guys on his own
Kiwanuka had to be sick after he let Young go on that sack
IIRC this is just when they were just really starting to enforce roughing the passer
9:56 So this is a late hit out of bounds, right?
So the personal foul was committed after the play was over, so shouldn't the Giants have gotten the ball since it was fourth down? Or was the rule enforced differently back then?
I was thinking the same thing. In the Rams/Bucs playoff game last season the ball hit the ground for an incomplete pass and then the defender hit the WR late but since the ball hit the ground and it was 4th down it was considered a dead ball foul.
The current Giants blow leads like that on a daily basis.
Not rly, they don’t even have a lead to blow to begin with nowadays and I’m a giants fan
Not rly, they don’t even have a lead to blow to begin with nowadays and I’m a giants fan
That unnecessary roughness foul lost them the game
This was no comeback just watch Giants big D let young run for the first down on 4th and 10😢
I look at Vince even being a Titan was mistake and an inditement on Texans part for not taking him smh then we wouldn’t be having the Vince and Fisher story
why did 97 just stop tackling vince young 12:50
Kind of odd that the giants were playing the titans the same week the cowboys were playing the buccaneers
Vince Young, Suicide doors
Pac-Man would have been a hof player had he stayed out of trouble.
How is the play at 13:00 even possible
Back when the NFL was worth watching real hits and not this touch and run out of bounds
Referees were involved in this game
will the Titans fell Malik Willis like they did Vince Young and not help develop him they're starting off on that path by bringing back Logan Woodside to take more reps from Willis, but that's what you get when you have a baby and are dating one of the owner's family members Logan Woodside gets to stay and plus this franchise loves bringing bums back every year just to cut them and bring them back to the practice squad
Titans will win super bowl 58 titanup
