Squidward clearly apologized in the April Fools incident, all it took was the guilt-tripping of a full restaurant.
And the fact that he had a hard time saying "sorry" in of itself too lol
And the Christmas special
And the art class
I was about to comment this lol
this is when this comment came in actually here: 17:14
SpongeBob literally just murdered a bunch of scallops over a sandwich. 😨 I never imagined he would go through such extreme lengths considering he raised one.
Schm'hurdered Junior AND his entire family.
imagine he killed the one he raised
Tbh it was metal as **** so it's not bad 🤷
And this is the reason why that episode is unfunny.
Squidward apologized in the April fools episode in the first season while he never actually fully said it he felt bad and actually put in the effort to say sorry instead of being forced by someone like mister Krabs. so while he never finished the apology he actually intended to if no one was in Spongebob a home except Spongebob himself
@@MattTOB618 Thanks for correcting my memories were foggy on that episode except the ice cube bit and a little of squidward apologizing so thanks for correcting
Squidward apologizes to SpongeBob in Fools In April season 1 and spongebob never apologizes to squidward for all the harassment and being overly annoying and invading his personal space.
He did apology in "Good neighbors" With the apology cake. He also apology in "professor squidward". He also feels bad for squidward in "Tiki enchanced dreams", "Boating buddies" and "Sponge-cano"
I think the entire segment of SpongeBob battling the Patty making machine was a reference to the story of John Henry.
It definitely was
I was probably in like middle school when we read about John Henry , and it reminded me of the SpongeBob episode lol
What story
@@BL-9065 Black man named John Henry worked on railroads and was known to finish them fast. One day, an inventor shows off a machine that can make railroads faster than any man can. John Henry challenges that he can beat the machine. So John and the machine race to see who can make a railroad in a certain distance the fastest. John pushes himself as hard as he can and beats the machine, but he pushed himself for so long that he fainted and died on the spot.
I was wondering why it was in rhymes
"We're nine dancers actually." That might be a reference to the fact an octopus has nine brains in real life.
Is That why Squidward's head is so big?
@@unripetheberrby6283 yeah but he's only using 3 of them.
5:55 this scene was always weird to me because clams are basically birds in SpongeBob's world, so this is basically SpongeBob murdering birds who were just following their instincts and going after food 😂
Not to mention, he and Patrick spent some time raising/taking care of one. Way back in the earlier seasons (can’t remember which one though I think it might have been the second one?)
"Sorry, Gary. Peasants only eat mashed-up clamshells."
Ima be honest Neptune's design in the show is far superior to the movies design
Yeah I prefer the seriously threatning dilf more than the goofball
@@georgspielberger9780 I think they reviled that are both 2 different characters that are in the show. Meaning there is more than one king Neptune in the show
@@Dashiell777 It's based on the original Greek and Roman gods, Neptune and Poseidon, being effectively the same god. (And then they introduced a separate Poseidon character...)
@@Mega-BrickPoseidon has never been an actual character on the show. There was a comment in Spongehenge where it’s implied Poseidon is the satan to Neptune’s God.
@@jaredhamilton425 In the movie, is what I mean.
Squidward just wants to live his life in peace. Spongebob breaks into this guy's house regularly, and in my state, that's grounds for catching lead.
Blame the writers. They demand Spongebob to breaks into Squidward's house while Squidward is asleep.
I'm not gonna lie, Spongebob deserved to have Squidward pester him and be more productive at cooking up Krabby patties. He bothered him for so long, this was Squid's "kill em with kindness" payback.
Yet no one didn't stand up and defend Squidward. All because Spongebob lost an employee of the month. I mean so what? Spongebob got a lot of Employee of the Month but Squidward doesn't have an Employee of the Month.
Y’all, the new Sorta Stupid promo video is super sick! Well done!
Throughout the series, even though he struggled to apologize, the April Fools episode is the only time that he's verbally apologized to spongebob however in the Christmas special to apologize he decided to let his actions do the talking by giving away all his belongings so spongebob wouldnt be sad.
"Im confused why Neptune was different in the movie than in the show." Well.. basically Spongebob is a documentary filmed by the human overlords who also spy on the citizens of bikini bottom. Neptune in the show is the real Neptune however they needed another Neptune as he was too expensive to get for the movie so they payed an actor to potray himself instead and thats why you can occasionally see the props of the movie in the show.
IYKYK
Aleeex!
Yesssss Alex bale the goat 🐐
Sounds like BS honestly.
@@Commander_Shepard. its a theory but it makes sense to me. Theres a lot more evidence to it than this. Look up Spongeebob Neptune theory if you are interested.
Glad to see some Alex Bale fans here
As someone who's fiancé works as a prep cook, I can tell you that people who thrive in the kitchen are a different breed. XD
A professional kitchen is so busy most people can't handle it, meanwhile my fiancé thrives and even enjoys the fast pace and slightly hectic environment. If you can't handle the physical stress, on top of listening to constant orders from a stressed out boss, you are not going to be able to work that job without going crazy. lol
1:53
As someone who grew up on Nickelodeon commercials, this "Amazing" is ingrained in my soul lol
Can relate
5:58 you would think he’d be horrified to do something like this considering him and Patrick raised a baby one together
Fun fact, I used to own the DVD for the To Love a Patty growing up, they came with the storyboard of the episode, along with the sing-along of the scene where SpongeBob taking the patty on a couple of dates. I also remembered how on the storyboard version of the episode, especially the scene where SpongeBob was with the patty in a picnic blanket, it was originally going to be SpongeBob and the patty in SpongeBob's room in bed while having the same dialogue. Remembering it now is actually funny and I can see why they scrap the background of the scene, if the background of the scene stayed the same, people would mainly think that SpongeBob did something dirty with the patty HCKDHSJD-
Wouldn’t that be the entire joke behind that background though? What else are you supposed to think given the context?
When Has Squidward Apologized or felt bad for Spongebob?
April fools
Christmas episode
Best Day Ever
The Bomb Pie
Pizza Delivery
And a lot of future episodes you all have yet to see. Yes, Squidward has his faults with his ego, but if he didn't feel bad and did all those things for someone he clearly hates, he would be an even worse character than Mr. Krabs or Planton combined.
The one and only one time Squidward has ever apologized was to SpongeBob was for the April Fools prank he did
Yeah, that episode really makes you look at Spongebob in a new light. The part where he got mad at Squidward fo getting Employees Of The Month was normal, but him getting uncomfortable with Squidward being in his house and holding his hand is just wrong.
If anything, it serves the little yellow bugger right.
not necessarily unless he continued to be ignorant to the hypocrisy. However kicking him out of a party that he wasn't hosting was sooo bad.
Squirdward spends the entire the day trying to make it up to spongebob when he thought he gave him a bomb pie
1:00 If you secretly did make smiley faces with ketchup and didn't advertise it... You know the second someone discovers it they'll start posting it online.
Kinda smart strategy, just wait for the 1% to discover and make it known, when asked why make up some BS positive energy is important saying and BAM... infinite meme publicity.
33:42 “they all suck”
true they all have their problems and no character consistently does all the right things to not deserve karma.
According to the internets, Mr. Krabs net worth is over 5 million dollars.
I love the "American Dad" shoutout. I need people to react to that show rather than just clips from it. They actually have solid plots for most of their episodes.
Ikr. Even now.
40:57
Patrick has invented the Cramp dance. Everybody's dancing in the end was freaking hilarious
🕺🕺🕺💃💃💃🤣🤣🤣
Season five did not really focus on the side characters that much. It was not only Sandy that they barely used, the same also goes for Mr. Puff, Larry the Lobster, The Flying Dutchman, Mermaid Man, Barnacle Boy, and Pearl only gets one off-screen speech over the phone in one episode for this entire season.
Speaking of mental illness, always thought SpongeBob has ADHD, Squidward has depression, and Mr. Krabs has money addiction.
I didn't know money addiction was the name of a mental illness?
@@celestialcreeper8736 It actually is there's a name called Crematomania.
9:08 It was 6 hours a while ago. Also, it was in water, on the ground, everywhere, including a clam's mouth
Spongebob committing mass genocide on clams over a krabby patty was so hilarious to me for some reason
In my opinion "to lover patty" was the beginning of the end, from here on they just ramp up the gross = funny
Why did they think kids back then would find that shit funny?
Not to mention more character destruction with SpongeBob, straightup killing those clams over a rotting burger. Remember how he raised a baby clam once?
@@MrWhatdafuBOOM Poor Junior
Raise your hand if seeing the episode to love a patty made you almost throw up as a kid or squeamish!
17:21, He apologised for the April Fool's prank on Spongebob and for stepping on his foot in the wishing well.
Well Squidwadd did apologize in April Fools, and he did apologize when be was standing on spongebob's foot without meaning to.
9:25 as you can see this is why most people were saying season 4 is the last high tier (relatively) season is because of stuff like that. Just wait until you get into the funny faces era or "were gonna be incoherent and weird because funny constantly". Don't get me wrong spongebob often has those incoherent or random moments but it also has wit and troll humor in there jokes. As we go up the seasons it will slowly disappear
I like the new mid-section ad
The money episode with Mr. Krabs is Mr. Krabs version of what happened with SpongeBob with the Krabby Patty.
Hey, Squidward has always been there for us when it was convenient for him
Do you guys ever feel empty or like creeped out with the end credits song of SpongeBob SquarePants? I don't, but a lot of people do feel that.
I don't either, I don't know why so many people say they do
I find it wild that so many people find it creepy
Y'all are the chosen ones
I'm also excited when they get to the episode where plankton roasts an entire family bloodline
Bree just earned more 1,000 cool points by saying Philly Cheese sandwich. 🧀 🥪 💜 Philly Cheese Steak Calzone is also GOAT in my opinion.
There was that prank episode of SpongeBob where squidward felt bad for prancing SpongeBob and so he went to his house an apologized to him so he’s at least apologized once in the show……
22:26 Dee Bradley Baker does a lot of additional voices in SpongeBob. He voices Bubble Bass and Squilliam
29:51 That's not even that gross, nor is it new. In Season 1, Spongebob literally put mustard in his eyes and produced a Krabby Patty.
Didn't he literally do this exact thing in the first episode of the show? Lol
28:42 press here to skip the long ass Jacuzzi tangent.
13:34 mr. Krabs: did someone just say free?😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Squid ward apologize to Spongebob in fools of April episode after he did a prank that hurt Spongebob in season 1 he felt bad and guilty afterwards. And tried multiple times to say sorry in one episode but it didn't work until at the end of the episode.
29:25 it's actually the John Henry folklore.
I will always headcanon Spongebob as having autism and scihzophrenia. And people can pry those headcanons away from my cold dead hands.
The Patty Love episode was just too weird of a concept for an episode. It was like when someone is in love with their car 😐
Considering the other stuff he's had psychoses over, it honestly didn't surprise me. I mean the man got so lonely that he made a bubble for a friend and your trying to say him falling in love with a sandwich is far fetched?
That is true. Though the way the patty episode handled it was weird compared to the bubble buddy episode. Plus it didn't help that season 5 started to ramp up the gross out humor a bit more@@kittiesice
@@thomasdaartist8938
Lol true.
33:15 That actually reminded me of a bit of SU trivia, Rebecca Sugar based part of the design of Blue Diamond on a dance performance by Martha Graham called Lamentation
Ass Cramps are fucking painful.
I get Calf Cramps every week 😂
Also, keep up the great content!
The Krusty Krab pizza he definitely stood up for him that should count
30:33 there is a great theory video by Alex Bale. It may be just a theory, but damn it’s fun.
36:30 with how gross this is, it's scarily accurate to well... octopi because they can fit their entire body into almost any tiny space.
This was a w ad holy crop that was such good editing
Squidward stands up for SpongeBob in the pizza episode in like season 1 or 2.
6:00 I love you guys glance over the obvious animal cruelty SpongeBob just committed😂
I’ve been thinking of a Sorta Stupid Podcast with all 4 of you guys would be amazing throughout the SpongeBob videos, but this video in particular solidifies that a podcast would be great, cause I had no idea Erik knew that much about hot tubs. Plus, you guys are so hilarious without even trying to be!!!
Coming soon to the Sorta Stupider UA-cam channel 😁
@@SortaStupid I thought so!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
15:47 "He's Not growing as a person, he just got electrocuted"
"It's Electro-Shock Therapy"
😂
I'm from Philly. Just in case you ever visit, Dalessandro's has the BEST cheesesteaks!! Don't listen when someone tells you Pat's or Geno's😂
maybe the lady was a multimillionaire because she penny-pinched so hard. 🤔
I'm so happy you got a foot pedal or whatever that is to pause the show so you can have your conversations because it always bothered me before how you'd miss parts of the show by talking over them, but I still enjoyed the talks you had so I'm glad you got an easy way to pause it more often. Super enjoyable this way haha
Sometimes this is more like a podcast with anecdotes rather than reactions 😂
5:58 So they actually made this song DLC for the game Rock Band and having to sing this part is...um...well it's quite something I'll say that much lmao
And I believe it's this the point in Spongebob where the writing begins to sink the showboat.
Oh look. "To Love A Patty"! I think they FINALLY found an episode that the fandom hates!
There's MORE of that to come later!☠️
That episode still makes me feel like puking!
@@FeligamiAdrizoeSworaBunnydoll especially with the close ups of how gross the patty became AND SPONGEBOB LATER EATS IT!
“If Batman can’t have it you can’t either.” That had me dying of laughter when Boom said that.
#1 TikTok dance = The Cramp
I am LOVING the new mid-video ad!! Billies unite!
25:02 the fact that I've seen both videos you were talking about 😭
so happy to see the comments defending squidward
thats guaranteed. but there are times he should be criticized too
@mbdg6810 definitely agree
Spongebob murdered that last clam
Bro, I'm from and still in NC and we can get cheesesteaks here. You just didn't look in the right places
Im loving the new promotion!! It’s amazing ❤
Have you guys ever considered watching Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole? It’s a unique movie and I feel like not many people take the chance to see it.
We gotta go to Jersey Mike's or somewhere down there to get my Man Boom to try a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich ASAP! 💜
Spongebob is Adult age he has a kid like personality that he cant break from like harleyqinn we seen scenes of him being younger
If you think that clip of extreme cheapskakes is bad, you need to look up the episode of the "Hillbilly cheapskate". This woman lives in a trailer and they only use one of the rooms and board off the rest to save on heating and cooling. Not to mention that her and her family will share a single tub of bath water per day, resulting in the water looking so murky by the end. And If that's not extreme enough I have two more words for you "Squirrel dumplings"... Yeah, this woman is just as bad if not cheaper than Mr. Krabs. XD I think it's even the same lady from the clip they mentioned seeing.
I feel like there must have been some background legal action against Krabs and his treatment of Spongebob if Krabs sold his soul to Spongebob to cover his paycheck because that implies that Krabs has had to start paying Spongebob instead of the other way around AND he had to compensate him a specific amount and could not be $5 short fpr a week.
omg I saw that episode of extreme cheapskates lmaooo🤣. it blew my mind fr
15:00 didn’t they have a party for SpongeBob in the strangler episode? For his on time percentage?
I remember being a curious kid and touched my uncles electric fence for his cows and it felt like I got punched from the inside
squidword apologized on the April fools day episode
According to the Spongewiki, King Neptune's redesign in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie was due to a firewall between Nickelodeon and Paramount content at the time.
38:22 No such thing as motion sickness
Speaking of sickness. 9:30
Just run to the bathroom and probably go see a doctor if you have food poisoning.
30:30 i asked that myself too😊answer: they are different .neptun and poseidon
20:48 Wait a minute.... MR. KRABS IS IMMORTAL?!
35:45 I get that literally every time I try and fully stretch my legs and I have to like jerk back to a normal sitting position before my legs cramp, it's like edging but with cramps
Yeah this is when spongebob got really weird 😂😂
But it's got nothing compared to the weirdness of modern SpongeBob lol
Shock therapy for depression is a thing tho. One of my fave comedians did it. Gary Gulman
Yeah...the patty episode wasn't really well loved by most fans...
Love that Boom called Squidward a ‘curmudgeon’ bc that’s the exact word that Squidward’s voice actor, Rodger Bumpass uses in every interview when describing his character
Sure, I'll give you To Love a Patty. That episode's awful. But saying episodes like Slimy Dancing and Spongebob vs. The Patty Gadget are one of the weakest Season 5 episodes is a huge L take. Lol
Yeah just wait until house sitting sandy and I heart dancing even worse.
Let's be Honest "The Cramp Dance" will be the favorite dance of the "Jackass" Cast
22:26 That is Klaus’s VA Dee Bradley Baker. Believe it or not, you already have heard his voice throughout SpongeBob already as well as other videos. He’s one of those VA’s that you will constantly hear being multiple characters, but never realize it.
I can only think of one time Squidward apologized to Spongebob and that was during the April Fools episode. He also almost did during the Christmas episode, he was just so shocked he couldn't think of how to say it and instead became Santa.
In the April Fools episode back in season 1, Squidward apologized for how he upset Spongebob. Everyone called him out on it.
4:06 anyone got any comments on SpongeBob cheating on Sandy with a sandwich
FIRE NEW AD BREAK. HECK YEAHHH
I won't lie; I disagree with Bree's view on Squidward in "Breath of Fresh Squidward" because I felt the way SpongeBob got treated in that episode was deserved for the dozens of times he's invaded Squisward's privacy and essentially done the same thing over and over again.
Maybe off-screen - SpongeBob has been given a party for being the "employee of the month" many times - that could why Patrick already had a cake ready but had the name change to Squidward at the last second.
Squidward really deserved that party, the poor guy's been depressed and miserable for so many seasons; It's straight up always a breath of fresh air for me to see SpongeBob getting a taste of his own medicine and to see Squidward be genuinely happy, and get some appreciation.
Such a shame for Squidward to not get that kind of happiness happen to him often.
I'm 100% with Boom's side on that episode: SpongeBob was being such a massive hypocrite.
I thought i wouldnt but i remember these episodes so freaking much 😆🙌💚
