I’m glad there’s fewer primetime games, especially no Thursdays. They just need to play and don’t need the delays and distractions. Playoff games are primetime so that should be their focus.

Chargers will have a much better record in 2024. Not saying they win the division in Harbaugh's first year but I'm predicting a wild card spot. 10-7 should be a good enough record.

December 19, 2004 never forget. Our beloved San Diego chargers traveled to Cleveland to face the browns. All the sports writer unanimously picked Cleveland for the win because the SoCal boys can’t play ball in the cold. Never forget our O-line came out with no sleeves and pitched a 21-0 shutout in the snow

So glad they stopped with the yearly Chargers vs. Chiefs TNF game and finally moved it to SNF where it deserves to be played.
I see us going 4-2 in the division, 1-3 in the AFC North, 3-1 in the NFC south, and beating the Cardinals, Titans, and Patriots. That puts my prediction at 11-6, I’ll give us plus or minus 1.

@@jdl619 Whats tough about the second half of the year? Yea, you have the Bengals, Ravens and Chiefs but then you have Falcons, Buccs, Broncos, Patriots and Raiders. Those last 5 are all very winnable games.

LaDainian Tomlinson & Philip Rivers were on the Chargers at the same time from 2004-2009. They never lost to the Raiders during that stretch. From the second meeting of 2003 to the final meeting of 2009, the Chargers went 13-0 against the Raiders.
The chiefs & pit games are going to be awesome because those games are always great just because the Chargers always play them hard & they play us hard.

@@Truth-Assassin Justin Herbert hasn't proven himself as a top 5 QB and Jim Harbaugh is a great coach but also his and especially Greg Roman's style is not made for television. A team with unproven receivers and an aging defense is not gonna be a no doubt gonna be fun team. Not with teams like Miami, Kansas City, Cincinnati, Baltimore, Cleveland, Buffalo, The Jets, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Detroit all having more star power and higher intrigue as well as better revenue and stronger fan bases. That's not even bringing up the very young and interesting upstart teams like the Packers or the entire AFC South. I'm a Stan for the chargers but I totally understand why we don't have a bunch of primetime.

Picked up week 1 tickets almost immediately. First game of Harbaugh for the next 5 years and a Raiders revenge game.
I think it's probably a lack of fan base more so than confidence they will be good or bad.

1:05 - The prime time games are mostly based on PY records, with the exception of the Jets. I read an article the put them in order and its pretty obvious all the playoff teams got 5-6. Panthers got 0 primetime games. We got more last year because we were a playoff team in 2022.
With that schedule we should make the playoffs no excuses…let’s see if Jim can take us to the promise land

I have one other thing to say bud we have Herbert and Harbaugh who took the 49ers in his first season from 6-10 to 13-3 and an NFC Championship app. Chargers will be just fine. Oh and the best defensive coordinator in CF and actual defensive guru in Minter will make this Def a top 10 unit his first yr we have the guys we just really needed a culture change and new coaching staff and we literally got an all pro staff lol. The league is on notice that's all I know.

Hilarious to hear a “tough” 10 AM PST start…or cold weather… These guys are professional athletes for Pete’s sake. With the latest gear, heaters on the sidelines, chartered flights, customized diets, you name it. And they are paid. Yeah, they get pounded. They chose this path.
So I have no sympathy for disparities in schedules among NFL teams. I love the sport of Ultimate. I played 13 years in the competitive league, before it became professional. I PAID to play, travel, condition myself. Trained year round and practiced in sleet, snow, hail, torrential rains, and thunderstorms (the last one was stupid). Fought the established-sports dominated system to get access to fields. Tournaments that sometimes had 5 games back to back…on Saturday alone. Then sometimes followed by 3 games on Sunday. Yeah, Ultimate is a non-contact sport. So is basketball.

We have the 2nd easiest schedule in the league according to PFF. I say we are a fringe playoff team this year and a legit Super Bowl contender next year after another draft and offseason team building.
I'm a long-time Chargers fan and I definitely don't consider myself a homer. In fact, I tend to be on the cynical side, but I think everybody is completely glossing over the Harbaugh Factor. I think the absolute floor is 10 wins. Wouldn't shock me at all if they win 12 and challenge the Chiefs for the division title. This team is going to punch other teams in the mouth for 60 minutes. They're going to be able to run the ball and kill the clock. I think too many people have a Telesco/Staley mindset. They are gone and this is a new regime and this team is going to win football games, especially the close ones.

Going to be hard to get to the Super Bowl, in this corrupt league, without a real home field advantage. The NFL doesn't want the Chargers to go to the Super Bowl! Penalties take place on every down, it's a given in the NFL. They can not call every penalty that happens on every down, that would be an unwatchable game! Instead, the Ref's pick and choose which penalties to call according to how the league wants it called! Especially for big time games!!! Gambling is so big now. This sport is easily controlled by the ref's in that way, probably more than any other sport!!! Pay attention to this...The Chargers were DOOMED in their previous predicament, Hopefully Harbaugh brings enough credibility in the leagues eyes, otherwise, Chargers are still doomed to be one of the franchises that will never win a Super Bowl! There are only a few franchises that, in the Ref's/leagues eyes, are worthy of winning the Superbowl Only a fan base will combat the corruption fellas..........
