The blue weenie beatdown plan is legit in some match-ups. Came back to watch the last match this morning while caffeinating. That has to be frustrating for the opponent, but it is decidedly fair.
Yes! I love winning with harbingers and picturing my opponents hand full of consign to memory and force of negation while I cast another Otter or whatever! Back in the og builds we played a couple brazen borrower in the side to add to the plan (and had subtlety main)
@jimothytheblue I played with a few Nimble Obstructionists in Standard some years ago as part of a control/tempo deck. I countered some planeswalker ultimates by announcing "cycle stifle bird wizard", and they occasionally were handy for 3/1 flying beatdown. However, they have never been good sideboard cards because you effectively have to choose whether you want a 3/1 flyer or the effect text. Having something with both the body and the effect is much better for enabling a post-sideboard strategy.
Yeah exactly - the petty theft being very flexible is a big upside for the borrower. Though in blue matchups often just jammed it on turn 3 and beat down.
Thanks! I may go ahead and do so before hitting that mark. More a matter of time then anything. What are the top things you would like to see in terms of editing
@@jimothytheblue Awesome, I think the main thing is just cutting out the dead air. For example when your opponent went afk for ages you could just cut that out :)
Do you just trade one belcher for the Karn in matchups where you think they'll exile all your belchers or something? And I like the tezzeret tech, I might pick some up after this video
Yeah it is tech against surgical, stone brain, etirpate, etc. It's sort of "free" if the game is going to go long (don't bring it in against aggro decks or fast combo) ive also played portable hole/other artifacts in the past but find it best just as a 1 of to insulate vs. Exile. Tezzeret is the real deal. Ive won so many games against blue decks with 3-5 cards in hand and mana up haha. Makes me want to play 2 tezzeret and maybe go down to 3 belcher main!
Eyyy that was me

opponent didnt grab goryos off of rumble in game one vs goryo because rumble can only grab permanents
Ah yes...if you read the card it explains the card! I just assume it gets everything sometimes and forget it actually has restrictions! Thanks!
