Shaq and Mr. Eisen statement was who/whom STARTED the so-called Super Team Problem. BTW that Miami team (I think they was called the Big 3). Shaq's statement in reference to AD and other if you consider a top 10 player within the NBA then why always try to join up and big the best with creating a superteam instead do it on your OWN! Also, if you trying to create one at least let try to get the player to come to YOU. Now that's the same narrative K.D. is stuck in. Everyone knows that he is an outstanding player but joining up with a 73 winning team in 2016 is not a good look.

Enough with the era comparing...bird and magic never teamed because first of all they couldn't if they wanted because there was no free agency and secondly they were both on the top 2 teams every year. They knew they were going to play in the finals every yr. Why would they team up? In todays era, it's about how many rings you have and how that is your legacy...Shaq left Orlando the first opportunity for LA. Sure LA sucked at the time, but he knew they would take care of him. A few years later they hired Phil Jackson. Sure, Barkley may have never requested a trade (publicly), who really knows since there was no internet or social media back then, but he did bitch moan and complain himself out of Philly to Phoenix.
