Forty-eight days ago, the tail section of Flight 815 crashes. The survivors struggle to live when some other people on the island continue to kidnap some of them.
The survivors of a plane crash are forced to work together in order to survive on a seemingly deserted tropical island.
Lost is an American science fiction adventure drama television series created by Jeffrey Lieber, J. J. Abrams, and Damon Lindelof that aired on ABC from September 22, 2004, to May 23, 2010, over six seasons and 121 episodes. It contains elements of supernatural fiction, and follows the survivors of a commercial jet airliner flying between Sydney and Los Angeles, after the plane crashes on a mysterious island somewhere in the South Pacific Ocean. Episodes typically feature a primary storyline set on the island, augmented by flashback or flashforward sequences which provide additional insight into the involved characters.
Lindelof and Carlton Cuse served as showrunners and are executive producers along with Abrams and Bryan Burk. Inspired by the 2000 Tom Hanks film Cast Away,[1] the show is told in a heavily serialized manner. Due to its large ensemble cast and the cost of filming primarily on location in Oahu, Hawaii, the series was one of the most expensive on television, with the pilot alone costing over $14 million.[2] The fictional universe and mythology of Lost were expanded upon by a number of related media-most importantly a series of mini-episodes called Missing Pieces; and a 12-minute epilogue, "The New Man in Charge".
Lost has regularly been ranked by critics as one of the greatest television series of all time.[3][4][5] The first season had an estimated average of 16 million viewers per episode on ABC.[6] During its sixth and final season, the show averaged over 11 million U.S. viewers per episode. Lost was the recipient of hundreds of industry award nominations throughout its run and won numerous of these awards, including the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series in 2005,[7] Best American Import at the British Academy Television Awards in 2005, the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series - Drama in 2006, and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

Ana Lucia didn't say a bullet wouldn't affect them - she said (I'm paraphrasing), "if you think this gun and ONE bullet is going to be enough....think again."
I think it was brilliant to put this episode here. It shows us what the other survivors' went through and experienced - most importantly, psychologically - that brought them to the current flash point, the convergence of the two groups and Ana Lucia's shooting Shannon. It's important background. And it's structurally atypical but effective as hell at ramping up the tension before we explore the fallout.

The Shannon frustration is real 😁 Years ago, a friend of mine came over once a week to watch the show (her first time) with me. We usually did 3 episodes each time, but after we'd watched 'Abandoned', she was so desperate to know if Shannon was okay that she decided to stay much later than planned so that she could watch just one more episode. I ended up having to tell her that she would still be right back where she started after the next one. It was the kindest thing to do under the circumstances 😉

Ana Lucia didn't say "bullets doesn't slow them down" as if getting shot doesn't effect them in her speech. She just said "one gun and one bullet wouldn't stop them" meaning "one gun and one bullet wouldn't stop an attack of a motivated group of others" because I guess she means they're vicious and the risk of being in gun point wouldn't scare them. So, she thinks even if she pulls the gun out or shoots and kills one, they'll keep coming and in the end the gun and the bullet won't really matter.

Ana Lucia is a reflection of Jack as the leader, while Libby is a reflection of Jack the doctor. Eko is Locke. Cindy is the pilot (as she is a member of the crew who reveals the plane was off course). Bernard is obviously Rose. And Nathan is an Ethan fakeout, while Goodwin is the real Ethan.
"Boone was a sacrifice that island demanded. What happened to him at that plane was a part of a chain of events that led us here... that led us down a path, that led you and me to this day, to right now."
As you point out Lent is a 40 days period during which a Christian can (amon other things) repent for their sins. In italian it is called Quaresima from the Latin Quadragēsĭma which means 40. And Quarantine originates from the Venetian dialect Quarantena which indicates an isolation period of 40 days during the plague.
So Mr. Eko kinda put himself into a spiritual Quarantine
The only family member that missed the Jack curse is Boone's evil mom. Also, imagine Sawyer and his arrogance in this group: dead in like 5 days

There may be a continuity error in this episode. Ana Lucia said they were "in the air for 2 hours". However the Pilot said in Ep. 1 that they changed course after "6 hours". Difficult for any passenger to confuse 2 hours with 6 hours flight time. Probably a writer's error. Also, "2 hours" was mentioned regarding Nathan's initial disappearance from the group of survivors.
Its also interesting that Nathan mentioned that he was from "Canada". The same place that Ethan had said he was from. Evangeline Lilly (Kate) the actress really is from Canada. Go Oilers! 🏒

My theory is that perhaps Nathan was a drug addict, too. Maybe a different kind (amphetamines maybe) but they usually want to avoid being seen. He just had it together a little bit better than Charlie. I find it highly unlikely for someone like Cindy to fuck up that badly. Also, amphetamines make you shit. 😅
I would highly recommend to stay away from those substances. Alcohol as well, if you can. The cons WAY outweigh the pros with each of them, every time. Especially long term

It was too short !!! In my memories, the previous Lost videos you mad weren't so short ! We waited 1 week (7 days) to watch the next episode and you made is SO short !
I feel horribly frustrated... 15 minutes on a 40-50 , that's definitely not enough... If you publish a Lost video once a week, please do it longer

Iirc, you can only show up to 10 minutes from an episode or you get a copyright strike. That's why some reactors actually show a clock in their videos. If he previous video felt longer, it's probably because she was doing more talking in between scenes of the show.
