  • If you want to build muscle but you don’t have time for the gym, or you’d rather train in the privacy of your own home, then this video is for you.
First thing to keep in mind is you’ll need to eat at a caloric surplus. Trying to eat a diet rich in protein, good dietary fat, and complex carbs. A lot of guys struggle to build muscle simply because they aren’t eating enough food - specifically, not eating enough protein.
You probably don’t have access to as heavy of weights at home as you do at the gym. So you’ll want to implement techniques like pause reps or slow eccentric and concentric movements to increase the time under tension for each of the exercises.
You’ll also want to train close to failure. Meaning you’re performing the exercise almost to the point of not being able to do any more reps. Your body responds to stimulation. It doesn’t know the difference between going to failure during a set of push-ups versus going to failure during a bench press. So by going to failure, you get that same kind of muscle stimulation that you can achieve at the gym.
Consistency is key here. A lot of guys feel like they aren’t getting results, and then they stop training altogether. Training at home is a little different than at the gym. You can’t expect the exact same results doing bodyweight squats as you can with hack squats… but by implementing some of the techniques I just mentioned and staying consistent, you can expect good results that help transform your body.
Start implementing these tips and making daily changes, and you are going to see some great results on your muscle building journey!

At 69, after 6 years of nothing, I decided to do exercise and weight training, after 5 months I have regained my strength, dropped 14kg, had to buy a new belt. I am still a bit fat at my middle, but only 1kg away from my ideal weight. Chest much bigger, getting there slowly, but that's okay. Mostly due to your great help on "Live Anabolic". Thank you very much.

Same age and I only started on 07/03/24 and have lost almost 10 kg inside two calendar months. Still want to go another 5 kg. I'm struggling to do proper Press Ups at the moment, but doing inclined versions albeit, I'm not eating lots of food either at the moment. I'm using body weight callisthenics, resistance bands and some free weights, but I don't have enough stamina for prolonged routines. Would be interested to hear more about your routine if you'd care to share?

I'm 70, I've been working out consistently for a couple of years. My results have been life changing. One observation: bodybuilding feels a lot like moving a beach a grain of sand at a time. Change comes so gradually that it takes a while to show.

Building muscle is no different than saving money. It takes time to see the rewards.

Exercise doesn't burn fat. Diet does. Stop eating so many carbs. Go on a meat and egg diet with water . Once you lose the weight you can add a little back ,but keep it within control. Yes, I know.... I'm 64 5'10 173 and did what I just said. It gets rid of that belly / love handle fat. It takes time as all good things take time.
