- It's a bold question to ask, "Do you believe that this is the best Land Rover Discovery 3, or 4, overlanding vehicle in the world?"
Today we are giving you our 4-year review on "The Bush Company's Alpha Roof-Top Tent and 270 XT Awning with Wall Enclosures".
Please visit our website www.overlanditaly.com/gear to save hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars purchasing products you need or would enjoy for your overlanding vehicle.
I was digging the hailstorm, we need more of this. Its relaxing
Not too many tents would survive a hail storm that puts huge dents into the hoods and roofs of vehicles. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the video!
Ciao Jay! Another nice video from you, thanks for sharing
Thank you Massimiliano!
Hi Jay, great to see your vehicle in its full glory!
Thank you Dean and Simon... much appreciated. Keep designing and manufacturing great products for the marketplace. We appreciate YOU~!
I'm loving your videos man specially this information videos where you tell what you need for overlanding trips. Keep making this
Thank you sir~!
You got music now too? Feels like I’m watching a TV Show!
Thanks Rocky!
I love your rig, beautiful! I am working on my 2008 LR3, that rooftop tent is a bit much for me, but I am considering. I pulled out my original springs and added heavy duty ones on standard height, because the suspension is a headache on these Landies. I love your advice. Thank you for sharing.
Hi! As long as you feel you have the off-road clearance you need, I would imagine driving your 2008 LR3 a bit lower (at stock height) would be far more enjoyable to drive 90% of the time.
These vehicle are already quite heavy and keeping the center of gravity lower is fine, as long as it doesn't impede your ability to get where you want to go.
not a bad way to wake up at all 🙌🏼
I know, right? Beats a noisy high-rise building in the city on a cold and rainy day.
Evening, I realize that you may cover it in future episodes, but which snorkel have you fitted
Chris
Hi Chris, Thanks for your inquiry. You are correct in that we have not gotten to that portion of our build - but we will! However, to answer your question, we used a Snorkel, also known as a "sealed raised air intake" from Safari. I hope that helps! Thanks again~
@@overlanditaly Thanks
Great video, music is drowning you out a bit. Thx for the details though. Cheers
The sounds during the introduction drops-down in stages during the first few moments of the video. But, after that, I ran as many checks as I could and everything seemed audible?
Hi Jay, how did you fix the solar panels to the RTT?
Our three (3) SunBeam "Tough 111 Watt Flush Black" solar panels were directly adhered to our rooftop tent by means of the "Silkaflex 291-i Black" silicon product. I entrust that information is of some help?
Why don't you add some sort of extra panel on roof of your car which doesn't obstruct your bed and install starlink in flatbed mode so you have internet 24/7
At the time I added the Starlink (stationary) mobile unit, they had just been released, so at the time it was quite new and revolutionary to the industry. The new flat dishes, or "Starlink in Motion", which can continue to receive and transmit a signal while driving, were only released here in Europe during the late calendar year of 2023. They currently cost €2,873 (Euro) plus the monthly subscription. So, we are waiting to place that unit, once we have ordered it, onto our forthcoming Iveco VM-90 military vehicle with a camper. Stay tuned~!
