Can't wait for what the future has in store for you! As always thanks for making good content. i appreciate how relevant you stay to the adventure lifestyle!
the Lollygaggin through the video makes its funny, anyway i really liked the video, learned some things i haven't thought about. i'm looking for a budget basic rooftent and u helped me, so mission accomplished!
😩 Don’t change! Love your channel as it is! No, in all seriousness, looking forward to seeing what’s new. Thank you for all the super dope content. You’ve inspired me to start looking for a TJ to keep the YJ company 😝. ✌🏽
Very valuable review, one can really size up the quality of the tent once it’s had some wear and tear. When I watched your video when you first got it, I had wondered how it would stand up to some stormy or windy conditions. You definitely addressed those concerns here. Great video, thanks for sharing.
They make an extension for the ladder but Frontrunner said the more vertical the ladder the better. If it’s out too far it’s not as strong and can bend. I’ve found that keeping the windows unzipped a few inches helped prevent the billowing effect when folding the tent back down. I don’t like the divots in the floor either. Sometimes they seem to go away, especially the bigger ones caused by your knees. I’m anxious to try out the tent when leaving the rain fly at home. I bet it’s a lot quicker to pack up on cold mornings when you want to get an early start.
I just ordered mine!! I went for the Smittybilt ($799) because I also needed the roof rack, new shocks, and the air compressor, so... Thanks for that review, brotha!
Your welcome for the subscription I Have Enjoyed your videos especially since I im in Arkansas too and because you do a great job at putting the details in your videos such a scenes and and different views and I just never got bored with your videos!
By far my favorite TJ channel I have read and watched a lot of people talk about not adding too my much weight to a TJ Do you feel like yours is too heavy? Do you have any recommendations on that?
Well, I am def. sure now that I'have ordered the right Tent now! Thank you for this detailed review. To bad the tent is not available now... hope to get it before Fall ... All the best for you! Greetings all the way from Switzerland . :-)
Great video man! Few things I wanted to ask after watching the vid. 1. Have you considered applying 303 Aerospace Protectant on that tent cover? I hear it does wonders. Aside from that, looks like it's pretty durable. 2. Have you also considered getting an awning in the near future?
Thanks for the awesome video, G. Is it ever a hassle if you need to air out the tent after getting back on a Sunday afternoon, but have to work Monday? Do you air it out at work?
This looks great! I’ve wanted to add one to my ‘99 TJ but it seems I get a lot of feedback saying it will make the Jeep really hard to handle. What’s been your experience? I’m only on 33s with a 2” lift but do you feel a lot of sway on the highway?
Off the subject question. Can you tell me the size of your wheels? I know they are 15”, but what offset/backspace? Thanks for the info and keep em coming!
just a thought on your next tent use 1inch sch40 PVC pipe with caps cut to fit the pockets where the rain cover poles insert to the tent I have not tried this myself I do not own that type of tent if the PVC doesn't fit maybe try a pool noodle or we used to call Nerf Bar foam or some kind of outdoor pipe styrofoam cover to reduce the friction between the tent and the poles
New to the channel, been loving your vids! I had a question as to what size/brand is your roof rack and how much weight can it hold? And is that weight factored in with the tent weight and your own body weight?
Hey man, I know this is an old video and you don't have the TJ anymore, but the question I have is with the lift and tires you had.. it doesn't look like it would fit in the garage.?? I was hoping with a 5" lift and 35's with the slimmest rack and tent I could still get it in the garage.. but doesn't look like it..
@@ArkansasOffroad Ok.. Thnx. It's just a standard 7ft, I'm running a 5" lift with 38's right now but thought if I dropped down to 35's maybe it would fit.. but I doubt it.. 😆🤣 Thnx for the reply, love your videos. 🤘🏻
For the price, yes. But I’d like to spend a bit more and try something else just because. It was an excellent starter tent. I’d like to try a hard shell one day.
Yeah the under side of my floor is F’d. Looks like it went through a war. Haha. Not actually compromised but does not look great. Also, my star gazer windows have covered zipper panels
If you watch my traction boards review video, I explain how I made a mount. Since that video, I bought some plastic knobs to use instead of the wing nuts.
Two more personal questions if you don't mind: 1. You mentioned a pee bottle, maybe Im naive about female anatomy but does your wife do the same as well (if she sleeps in it)? 2. Similarly, how safe, sturdy is this RTT for "sexy time"? I dont know much about RTT's so maybe that's a stupid question.
I bought the same tent from a friend for 300 bux...I don’t like the same issues you’ve pointed out, especially the underneath where the ladder sits against it when it’s all wrapped up, properly dented!
You ignored my previous question. Why did you kill that armadillo ?? why in the he'll do you enjoy nature and in the same time commit crimes against it??
He killed it because they are good eating. What did you kill for lunch today? And if you don't think eating plants kills, you need to research your food source a little more.
Thank you for taking the time to do a review. Greatly appreciated!!
Dang it man! I'm trying to save money right now, and you go and make me want a roof top tent! Love the video as always. Keep up the great work!
Nice to see a video with actual pros/cons from real experience with this RTT. Thanks!
Keep up the good work !
Can't wait for the next

Been waiting on this video. I've been curious how you were liking it. I like that you have paid attention to the details over the course of time.

I didn't even notice that.. meow.
By far my favorite TJ channel
I have read and watched a lot of people talk about not adding too my much weight to a TJ
Do you feel like yours is too heavy? Do you have any recommendations on that?
Thanks! No not really actually. Regearing helped tremendously. I don't think it's too heavy.
Arkansas Offroad my concern is too much up high. With your sway bars disconnected, how did it feel? Was is tippy and sway back and forth a lot more?
Got a like for the quarantine stash!
Well, I am def. sure now that I'have ordered the right Tent now! Thank you for this detailed review. To bad the tent is not available now... hope to get it before Fall ... All the best for you! Greetings all the way from Switzerland . :-)
Can you do a video or series where you prep and make some of your favorite camp meals? I’m glad I stumbled upon your channel a few weeks ago!
Great video man! Few things I wanted to ask after watching the vid. 1. Have you considered applying 303 Aerospace Protectant on that tent cover? I hear it does wonders. Aside from that, looks like it's pretty durable.

I’ve actually aired it out at work before haha.
Love the dirty quarantine stache hahaha sport it bro!!
"ooooohhhhhh snag" 😂 stoked to see whats coming brother
Thanks brahhh
Hey love your jeep! Especially that awesome retro gas cap! Where did you get that?
I'ma put this on my jeep grand cherokee and i'm 6'4" so definitely won't have any issues packing it up haha
Great video and congratulations on all the subs
Thanks!!

U are awsome bro. Love from india- kerala, u always Inspire me to jeep life. I will buy a jeep and enjoy as like you.
Excellent video !! 🤘🏻
great vid and tips
It would be nice if you upload how you built the metal support for the jeep
Off the subject question. Can you tell me the size of your wheels? I know they are 15”, but what offset/backspace? Thanks for the info and keep em coming!
Man I wish I knew! So sorry. They were on there when I bought the Jeep. Guess I could measure
With a 15" rim on a TJ you need 4.0" to 4.5" backspace for 33" - 35" tires.
Your stash reminded me of Thorny from Super Troopers.
Great video.
No fat beds ahahaha 😁 it must be incredible to be there while it rains outside ... Thanks for share Bro Stay Safe ✌
The tape doesn't reinforce the stitching, it keeps the water out. Great video, thanks for sharing
Keep it up! Love your videos
What is the diameter of the pipe on your roof rack if you don’t mind me asking and I was curious how the tent is attached.
Door vinyls look good bro, :D. Nice review!
Appreciate it!
Thank you for sharing buddy now you have 25k
Nice roof rack. Which model is it?
What type of roof rack are you using? Love the set up!
LOL, I see its a custom build rack!
Can you keep beddings inside and fold it?
Could try adding some foam squares where the divers from the ladder are. That would get rid of the pockets that hold rain.
Such a good idea!
I stash my weed in there..... so there's that.
Great video. Mahalo for sharing.

Hey thanks so much! I have a separate video all about the roof rack. It's custom made.
@@ArkansasOffroad Ahh that's smart lol thanks!
Hey hoping you see this! What gears are you running? And are the tires 33’s? I’m looking into getting a rtt but I just need to regear
Just heard in the video you have 35’s so now I’m even more curious what gears you have?
@@trevenodell935 4.88 Yukon gears
Thank you for the info! We're searching for an affordable, but good quality, rooftop tent.
How many persons can fit inside, obviously 2 is comfortable, but I'm talking if you can fit the 3th?
Hey man, I know this is an old video and you don't have the TJ anymore, but the question I have is with the lift and tires you had.. it doesn't look like it would fit in the garage.?? I was hoping with a 5" lift and 35's with the slimmest rack and tent I could still get it in the garage.. but doesn't look like it..
Well I'm not sure how tall your garage is. I fit in it without the tent. This is a 4" lift.
@@ArkansasOffroad Ok.. Thnx. It's just a standard 7ft, I'm running a 5" lift with 38's right now but thought if I dropped down to 35's maybe it would fit.. but I doubt it.. 😆🤣
Thnx for the reply, love your videos. 🤘🏻
Good video man.. I love my Frontrunner RTT as well. Such a great, quality tent for the price! Couldn't be happier.
Totally agree!
Great review thanks
Saw this video and my cart is at 2700.00 for my Forester Wilderness lol *cries internally*
Is there a significant difference in MPG? I know the tj isn't great just wondering if it's significant.
Not really. Lose about 1-2 mpg on hw
Nice ... I like your Jeep
Knowing your pros and cons of the frontrunner tent would you go with the same tent if you had to buy it again?
For the price, yes. But I’d like to spend a bit more and try something else just because. It was an excellent starter tent. I’d like to try a hard shell one day.
Where do you run? Haven't been that way in years (my home is Cedarville).
Random question but what brand of soft top is that on your TJ and maybe a link or website to order it from.
Rampage frameless top
They do make an extension for the ladder
Oh, good to know
Buenos videos como siempre wuero saludos desde Toluca city México 👍☑️
Yeah the under side of my floor is F’d. Looks like it went through a war. Haha. Not actually compromised but does not look great.
Also, my star gazer windows have covered zipper panels
What roof rack are you using?
Put a cookie sheet under your heater if it falls over it will keep your tent from damage
How did you mount the recover boards to you spare?
If you watch my traction boards review video, I explain how I made a mount. Since that video, I bought some plastic knobs to use instead of the wing nuts.
Arkansas Offroad thanks man! Maxtrax wants $150 for a mount and like you said im trying to have fun on a budget
What rack system are you using?
It was custom built. There's a separate video of it on my channel if you're interested
Two more personal questions if you don't mind:
1. You mentioned a pee bottle, maybe Im naive about female anatomy but does your wife do the same as well (if she sleeps in it)?
2. Similarly, how safe, sturdy is this RTT for "sexy time"? I dont know much about RTT's so maybe that's a stupid question.
What inch lift kit do you have ?
How does your wife like the rtt? Ive been shopping for one for my jku, but my wife is really worried about the middle of the night pee situation...…..
She loves it! Makes her come with me sometimes now lol.
What rack do you have on your jeep
He customized it in a video.
here the update , thhx
I bought the same tent from a friend for 300 bux...I don’t like the same issues you’ve pointed out, especially the underneath where the ladder sits against it when it’s all wrapped up, properly dented!
Thanks for your review. Floor denting is unacceptable. You've helped me decide not to buy this tent.
FrontRunner actually messaged me that I should drill new holes in my ladder for adjustment when they saw pics of the tent on my last car 🤔
What roof rack is that?
Fiberglass windshield 2:50?
Hey hey, I got Like 556!
🤙🤙🤙
Roof rack??
"lollygaggin"
Hi guy How are you?
Lol he said deploy. 🎭
Your mustache needs its own channel. Do a facial grooming spin off with shave product sponsors!!!
😂😂😂
You ignored my previous question. Why did you kill that armadillo ?? why in the he'll do you enjoy nature and in the same time commit crimes against it??
Your question doesn't deserve any answers, other than this one.
Justin Whisenhunt people like you and him are cancer to the planet.
You are a cancer to others.
I bet you think cutting bamboo is a great tragedy too.
He killed it because they are good eating. What did you kill for lunch today? And if you don't think eating plants kills, you need to research your food source a little more.
