I did a quick google of John Muir Law and found his website which has SO many video tutorials that are like hours and hours of him teaching you how to draw everything in nature! OMG! I might try some of the videos! I've also had a sad week this past week. I just really didn't feel like doing work, and actually gave myself a break from some of the readings for class (i.e. I didn't do them lol) but I need it especially since there's no Fall Break this year :)
That was such a good idea!! I would love to look up these videos as well! I’m glad you’re giving yourself a break from some of the readings- school teaches us discipline and how we learn best. I think those skills are the most important things, not grades. So we do the best we can, respectfully, and then let the rest go because life needs balance 💛

I’d felt sad and lonely and was, therefore, not productive...then, knowing I function best with plenty of sleep, I stayed up until 1 am officially sabotaging any productive morning I would have had. It’s a cycle...one that I actually fell into last night and so I’m answering your comment from bed and it’s nearly 10am here! Learning to not be so hard on myself for these sorts of things. I totally understand how you feel about your friend leaving, and I hope you were ok. My best friend (and actually my only friend, except for my husband of course) lives about 18 hours away from me and we rarely see eachother--(especially now) and when we have to say goodbye I'm an emotional wreck for about a week after. It feels very lonely and empty. Oh, and one more thing, I think you might like the Hetty Feather series. I'm reading it now and it's my new favourite!!

I'm so impressed with your drawings! I've been tempted to invest in an iPad to help with piano sheet music but procreate also seems like such a fun way to draw! I so highly recommend any sort of drawing on ProCreate! I was fortunate enough to be given my iPad (my dad got a new one and passed down his old one) and then I had apple gift cards for my apple pencil. If not for these, I would not have been able to afford any of it but knowing what I know, I would tell anyone to save up if they can because it’s worth the investment! I cannot draw nearly as well on paper yet as I can on my iPad. Mistakes can easily be undone, there are so many textures available that I would know how to create on my own, my work is immediately available to my online community, etc. etc. Keep me updated if you do get one! I hope there are many wonderful potpourris in your future! Thank you, friend :)
I really enjoyed The History of Love, and I hope you do too! The character Leo will stick with me forever. I don't know if you know, but the author Nicole Krauss was married to Jonathan Safran Foer, and they wrote The History of Love and Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close right around the same time! I’ve never thought about using a coffee press. That coffee looks so good. Do you find that it’s better than using just a regular coffee maker or Keurig?
Yes, it's an iPad! I use the app "ProCreate" and an Apple Pencil. I'm much better on the iPad than I am on paper because you can undo your mistakes in Procreate and there are also hundreds of brush textures and sizes, many of which I'd have no idea how to create/replicate on paper!

Your drawings are so amazing! I used to try doing nature journaling, but I really do stink at drawing so I gave up. I totally understand how you feel about your friend leaving, and I hope you were ok. My best friend (and actually my only friend, except for my husband of course) lives about 18 hours away from me and we rarely see eachother--(especially now) and when we have to say goodbye I'm an emotional wreck for about a week after. It feels very lonely and empty. Oh, and one more thing, I think you might like the Hetty Feather series. I'm reading it now and it's my new favourite!!

I'm so impressed with your drawings! I've been tempted to invest in an iPad to help with piano sheet music but procreate also seems like such a fun way to draw! And I've also been interested in making stovetop potpourris recently. I'm glad that it will also help with the air quality. Thanks again for the lovely vlog and providing such a cozy and tranquil space :)
I so highly recommend any sort of drawing on ProCreate! I was fortunate enough to be given my iPad (my dad got a new one and passed down his old one) and then I had apple gift cards for my apple pencil. If not for these, I would not have been able to afford any of it but knowing what I know, I would tell anyone to save up if they can because it’s worth the investment! I cannot draw nearly as well on paper yet as I can on my iPad. Mistakes can easily be undone, there are so many textures available that I would know how to create on my own, my work is immediately available to my online community, etc. etc.
Keep me updated if you do get one! I hope there are many wonderful potpourris in your future!

I really enjoyed The History of Love, and I hope you do too! The character Leo will stick with me forever. I don't know if you know, but the author Nicole Krauss was married to Jonathan Safran Foer, and they wrote The History of Love and Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close right around the same time! As I loved both books and the vibes are similar, I found that so interesting 💛

Yes, it's an iPad! I use the app "ProCreate" and an Apple Pencil. I'm much better on the iPad than I am on paper because you can undo your mistakes in Procreate and there are also hundreds of brush textures and sizes, many of which I'd have no idea how to create/replicate on paper!
