- Have you ever thought about an NBA player that was in the spotlight one moment and then seemingly overnight you never heard their name again? While you might hear little snippets of info here and there about the players mentioned in this video, nowadays these guys don't have spots on NBA rosters for various different reasons. These are 7 NBA players that disappeared from the league suddenly.

Man Cousins has to be unlucky as hell, he joins the GSW the year after they win and is cut the year before Denver wins their championship
I think he was injured or cut from the 2020 Lakers but they did send him a ring when they won the finals.
Hassan Whiteside was a beast on the blocks I don't see how you got spot for Robin Lopez still either but I thought Hassan was a future All Star
Empty stats and was only worried about highlight blocks, not making the right play.
SMH Forget Robin He Kan Still Be Productive Some Nights BUT When U Think Of Taking Up Spots Thanasis Gotta Be #1 Ona List LML It’s Sooooo Many Former Players Who Kan and Definitely Should Be On Rosters BUT We Know These Sports Owners and Executives Have They’re Way Of Keeping Ppl Outta A Job
@@Luv_Sammy😂😂😂 it’s always someone claiming all players stats are empty stats. Had a 6 yr stretch being one of the best defensive bigs not just stats actually being elite overall. He played on bad teams so you say empty stats is being lazy, the ONLY reason he wasn’t a all NBA player is because he had absolutely no offensive game outside of dunks
Not about talent. It’s about their ability as a teammate. Same reason why people didn’t want melo when he declined. He wouldn’t accept a bench role, and would be a team cancer.
@@donlawson9683you not a blood.
I could name probably 7 teams Cousins could currently start on and 30 he could come off the bench for.
Celtics has needed a back up big for YEARS
name those 7 teams lol
@MikoPayton raptors,magic,hornets,wizards,jazz,
Grizzlies and Pistons(debatable) but that's why I said probably 7
@@AT-fw8zynah man these rebuilding teams need to give minutes to their developing players rather than old players
@@tuguldurbaljinnyam7578 he could def help them develop he can shoot dribble pass post all around
boogie cousins came back in those same playoffs after tearing his quad and played in the finals
Jeanie Bus gave em a lakers 2020 ring
No offense, if people thinks that Whiteside should be in the NBA, they definitely only watch his highlights and stats only
Mesenkomaha is back with a new picture, love the vids
This is just by my understanding, not saying this is in stone perfect logic.
Cousins: Couldn't defend the pick and roll by the end, constantly attacked in playoffs. Also not a reliable personality historically.
Howard: Good player still but was a frustrating locker room presence who if I recall correctly was in a dispute with the NBA about following rules in the bubble and was almost dismissed from the playoffs.
Whiteside: Bad locker room guy, great defensive stats but terrible results guy who chased blocks and gave up tons of points off cutters and offensive rebounds.
Kemba: By the end his knees were so bad he couldn't guard anybody and was a complete liability.
Stevensons: Both were just notoriously difficult personalities on and off the court.
Summary being, these guys were all difficult to deal with, which is fine when they are at their peaks, but once the talent drops off they aren't worth the trouble.
Cousins would be the best back up for today’s nba.
Naz Reid?
Roy Hibbert?
..omg I totally forgot 😂
And Danny Granger
I can see the Suns picking Boogie or Dwight up in the off-season they neeeeeeed center depth
Mike Beasley?
Dwight Howard with glute issues lmao
😂😂😂😂😂
Josh smith
Whiteside only improved if he has a paycheck.
Howard and Cousins were killing it in T1 because the quality of players is not good
Agree. Also I don't think Dwight disappeared to soon, he played a lot and just got old with injuries.
And they’re having fun
I tore my quad once before. It really is slow to fully heal. A month or two and you’ll be fully active again. The problem is how easy it can be to re-injure yourself afterwards.
It's funny that this video popped up in my feeds because I was wondering what had happened to these guys myself.
I swear was thinking the same watching the playoffs imagine if mental health was important as it should Hassan Whiteside was a 💪 boogie can play now Dwight a backup maybe Andrew bynum is someone they forgot due to mental health he had potential
How the hell is Dwight Howard not top 75
From what I heard he definitely a top 😂 no Diddy
Dwight Howard was out of the league quick after the lakers championship because of his attitude. He put his head down and worked hard as a solid role player that year, but then immediately started complaining about touches and playing time and other crap you should not be hearing from your 35 year old backup center. We thought he had left that attitude behind when he joined LA, but it seemed he was just putting on a face for a year. His attitude is not worth having him on a roster spot, even for a minimum. He would just be taking a roster spot from a player who's much younger and still more mature than him. Dont feel bad for him, at least he got the ring.
Honestly attitude issues killed a lot of these guys' careers. Teams are gonna choose the 25 year old with a good attitude and work ethic over the 35 year old with a bad attitude and entitlement issues every time.
John wall?
Rare nba ballers mention‼️‼️
I agree on Boogie and Blake Griffin
If you a center and don’t shoot 3’s then it’s just a matter of time before you get blacklisted 😮 you can’t just block shots and rebound these days cause there’s no post play in the lower blocks, not as a matter of game plan
Whiteside isn’t in the league because he was a constant defensive liability. His high block numbers disguise the fact that his teams always did worse defensively with him on the floor.
lance stephenson was a great player on the Indiana pacers
Quad tears are very rare...
Vince McMahon in the royal rumble : wtf!
How about the Wallace brothers?
Golden State needs Dwight
Before I watch this video I want to mention Josh smith what happened to dude. I think his game would be perfect for todays league
Just thinking about it teams probably would like to take a chance with one of these players but you got to remember what the average NBA Salary is per season especially for bad to garbage players. I'm pretty sure once they get back in the NBA they ain't playing for a mill or two and change.
If Marbury n Garnett would a stayed together dey woulda won a ring fasho. I bet eating dat Vaseline ain't help
What about Andrew Bynum
Cousin was on the bucks🤔
I 4got dat Cousins was on our GSW Hoop team n 2019 cuz we woulda won n beat Toronto even without KD or Klay!! Biggie was dat G fasho
I was hyped when the warriors got cousins too sucked it didn’t work out
Everyone had their issues so they had to be cut!
Hi
where was I.T.?
Still playing these are players that are not in the league that was good enough to still play
First aye
First
😂so we just not gon talk about how Cousins attitude sucked
Hassan is a horrible person that's why.
dwight howard wants to play to pba he plea to the pba commissioner to return then no height limit
Love to see Bousins, winning 🏆 🔥❤️
There is politics everywhere. Good thing the NBA is not the only place a basketball player can play to get paid.
Man Cousins has to be unlucky as hell, he joins the GSW the year after they win and is cut the year before Denver wins their championship
