Under 5 mins and they're on, as advertised :) Everyone was complaining on Amazon how installation was a nightmare and I was dreading it, and it legit took like 3 minutes. Perfect instructional video, thank you! These have made the sound quality even better. It's also amazing as a someone with stretched ears/piercings that the pads don't touch my ears whatsoever.
Getting the original cushions off was really difficult for me, but installing your replacement cushions only took a few minutes. Very helpful video, thank you! Now to see if they're as comfortable as they seem. :)
From removal to installation the whole process took less than 5 minutes. The new cooling gel earpads gave new life to my headphones and they are even more comfortable than new. 5 Stars to the product, instruction and customer service. This is exactly how business should be done!

When they were new I only touched the driver slightly, but as they wore down and compressed, my ears would start to hurt after a while bc the plastic pushed on them. It's little things like this that can make all the difference. Barely anyone thinks about the pads, but these vs stock is like night and day! Definitely recommend!

Just bought new pads, the stock ones are completely worn down and the headband is falling apart, which doesn’t affect functionality. Off to another 5 years of intensive use! Thanks for the video

My original earpads were worn out so i ordered these replacement earpads. I was glad when i put them on, but after a while i was feeling this suction effect. The original earpads had space for air to move away, but these new ones doesnt feel good on your eardrums even though they feel great around the ear. thats my opinion.
@@WickedCushions i actually made two tiny holes on the side of the pads and that seemed to fix it. I figured the seal was just too airtight hence the vacum effect. The holes made the air pressure go away and the pads are now excellent. Passive noise canceling and with my New bought FiiO btr5 this pair of headset has grotten the flavour and sound i originally was hoping for with the ath50x. If People dont already have an amp/dac, go get one, it is worth every penny!
My ear pads looked like a decade old couch, there was literally less surface area with leather than without. These guys are infinitely more comfortable already and they haven't even broken in yet.
To be honest when I first opened the box for these for my logitech pro X headphones, and saw the difference in the stretchy bit sizes I was very suspicious that It wouldnt work as they are much longer than the originals. However sure enough they fit great after using the proper method.

stupid question but took me 5-10 minutes to get it in and it was frustrating but is there a way to tell if the cushions are lined correctly and straight? what I did is make sure the line on the side of the cushions were on the bottom and lined up vertically parallel to the audio technica logo of the headphones
VERY subjective. Some people do, some don't. There is definitely going to be some change, but we have people that HATE the change and we have people that LOVE it.
Hey , our ear pads lifespan will be very dependent on how you use the headphones the most & by how much you actually sweat in them. People who sweat heavily (like me) will have their ear pads deteriorate much faster than people who barely sweat. If you look at our amazon reviews, we have many positive reviews saying it does change the sound for the BETTER, at the same time, we have multiple BAD reviews saying it changes the sound for the worse. Bottom line it does change the sound, but no clear cut as to what people think (although the majority of our reviews are positive) FYI We have a 365 day warranty, if you don't like them- its on us.

I bought my m40x Audio Technica a few years ago, other than the fact that it's pretty good, I feel like I should get the m50 for more features maybe like noise cancellation if it ever had and also for high bass. Is it really that good? Or should I stay with what I have at the moment? Also, I got your wicked cushions and they are the best (ebony color)👏🏻.
Hey Mowie , there really is not much difference between M40x and M50x. It's very subtle. Only if you really really want them, get them. But you won't feel a night and day difference. Also, M50x does not have noise cancelling.
We have seen some very rare cases that for some reason the earpads are GLUED. We have no idea why, but 99% of the earpads are not suppose to be glued at all
@@WickedCushions UPDATE: I did manage to get them off! There wasn't glue but the reason why it was so hard to get them off was because they were EXTREMELY stiff! I also had to use the technique in this video but from the top instead of the sides and with a lot more effort (not as gentle).

To align them, just twist it until the seams are at the bottom
