- Guru Gita is a devotional and mystical scripture glorifying the significance of a Guru (Spiritual Preceptor). It is narrated by World Guru - Lord Shiva Himself to his consort Mata Parvati. A must watch and listen for all devotees who want to expand their spiritual practice and attain self-realization even in this very life. Om Tat Sat.

Humble prostrations Guruji, adorations 🙏🙏
Very deep and informative shlokas from both Lord Shiva and Ma Parvati. It also highlights the importance of needing a Guru on this holy journey. One, to even know about all the various scriptures and which ones to read and study. And two, because of needing the explanations of them which point to the necessary requirements and qualifications on this path. For one whose goal in life is Liberation, the kundalini shakti must be awakened within them. Kundalini awakening is a whole study and practice in itself which takes commitment and time. It does not happen by attending one class at a yoga studio or one yoga seminar. (That would just be westernized marketing tactics). One must also have sense-control which also takes commitment and time. Via sense control, we are able to purify ourselves and clean off that mirror within to eventually reflect our true Self. You cannot see yourself clearly in a dirty mirror. So there is a variety of purification exercises to choose from and begin working on. The spontaneity of the Hamsa mantra can only be heard and felt through purification. There must be no distractions, no pulling from the external world and surroundings, no monkey mind. This reminds me of a devotional song I grew up with where part of it says “in the secret, in the quiet place, in the stillness You are there. In the secret, in the quiet hour I wait only for You, I want to know You more.” To know God, to feel God, to touch God, we must have a stillness to the senses. The quiet hour of Brahma Mahurta is the best time to practice meditation because there is no noise and distractions of the day yet. The more purification, the ‘easier’ to connect with Guru and God who are one and the same. When a devotee resonates at the same frequency as Guru, they will intuitively know. A connection beyond all words and expressions. It is mystical and divine.
May all sadhaks have a fruitful journey on this path to liberation and may Gurus blessings cover us all. Om Tat Sat 🙏🕉🌹🦋🪔🔱
🔔 Koti koti pranaams Baba ji dear. 🏵🏵🏵🏵🏵
These shlokas are beautiful and very mysterious. Lord Shiva explains these three 'stages' of realisation and how we, if we are sincere and devoted, if we meditate on Guru we will become one with our Guru. I feel this is beyond words and any attempt I make to express my understanding of this will just be 'wordy'. Lord Shiva and yourself, Baba ji, have said it wonderfully. If God gives me the inspiration, I may write something using poetry. 🙏 I will revisit the Kundalini playlist.
With gratitude and devotion always.
