You must! It was a new experience for us both and a good one at that! The variety of food there was superb 🤤

The ox tongue reminded of my childhood days in Tanah Merah, Kelantan. Our family, every now and then will built a campfire in front of our house, and we will grill ox tongue and corn. Those days are long forgotten.

I loved filming this one with him, he's such a great guy! I can't believe neither of us have had it before, but it was one I'll definitely get again now. Ox tongue and corn sounds like Emma's worst nightmare 😅

More daring with your food choices. Hope Emma is feeling better.

Definitely some curveballs in the food choice, but we are so happy we tried something different! Definitely give lengua a go if you haven't already! Emma is feeling much better now thankfully, thank you for your well wishes ❤️

The sauce in your lechon that has the gravy texture is a liver sauce. There is a spicy version and the regular sweet version.

Oh really! Liver sauce tastes the bomb with it! I'd like to try the spicy version though! 🤤

The lechon comment is merited. Cebu people are easy to offend that's why no one wants to say that sometimes their lechon sucks. You can only hold lechon for an X amount of time before it loses it's juiciness and crispiness.

Haha thank you, we aren't ones to shy away from our honest opinion, even if it is a bit controversial! We just honestly thought this one was much juicer. Maybe as it was from a stall, rather than in a restaurant and kept under a heat lamp, but who knows! 😅

Every region in the Philippines Lechon doesn't taste the same in Luzon most lechon isn't that salty that's why you dip it in a slightly sweet gravy like sauce and if you are in visayas region Lechon is saltier specially for foreign tourist thats why you usually dip the Lechon on a spiced vinegar sauce.

Oh interesting! I guess each place must have their own variation to keep it unique! I guess we're just going to have to do a lechon food tour around the Philippines next 😂

A lot of the food is salty because it’s supposed to be paired with rice.

That makes much sense, we didn't want to fill ourselves up too much though! 😅

ricos used to be so good. quality of their lechon went down quite a lot. its just sad. i prefer house of lechon now.

Oh really, thought we had only tried Rico's the one time, we did think it wasn't as good as the reviews had said. This one was soooo much juicier and flavourful! We will have to try House of lechon next time we're in Cebu 😊❤️🇵🇭
