I recently joined TKD and everyone in the class knew how to do this except me. I've been watching videos like this one for the past week. This guy is super crisp so I subscribed. Now I just have to memorize this.
I am testing tomorrow f or my orange belt, so I wanted to make sure my form is perfect. It’s great that people like you can put videos like this out for people like me, who really need it. 고마워
I used to be super involved in teakwando, but I stopped for about two years due to personal stuff. I have a week until my first class starts again and I totally forgot my white belt and yellow belt form. Now all I just need to memorize this before I come to class totally unprepared 🤞🙏
I just started TKD and BJJ classes this past week to help with my mental training cause of all the thing sin my past and now I'm always angry and rageful everyday and I wanted to try something new to get my mind off things and to help me focus. So yeah I'm almost 34 and took my first legit martial arts structure and it felt great. Whenever I put my Gi on it makes me feel good and like I have a purpose now. Wish I would've started alot sooner but at least I'm now doing it.
This white belt form is specific to this instructor and his dojo. This video is specific to this instructor and his dojo. You may not have the same form in your instructor's dojo. This video is for people who cannot afford to whom do not have the local means to go to a martial art class/dojo. This video is for people who are trying to learn at home and this video was made for those people who are serious at wanting to learn TaeKwondo as a means of self defense. T This video was not made for pupils, belonging to a dojo in classes or who once took classes and wishes to earn their way back onto the dojo Matt. This form may not be accepted at your dojo because this is not your instructor's video. If you belong to dojo and are being instructed, pay attention to YOUR INSTRUCTOR. if you have no dojo or instructor and you wish to learn TaeKwonDo... This is legitimate and will do you just fine.
It's not one he invented though. I did this exact form in the 90s when I was a white belt. Been trying to figure out what it was called because it's not part of the palgwe or the taegul set
I was in Taekwondo as a teenager. This was the form for white belts that we learned. However, I recently enrolled my daughter in ATA Taekwondo a d their white belt form looks nothing like this. I can't even help her learn the form because of this.
@@tyronehernandez9962 That's not what it is. ATA does Songam style forms that were created in the early 80's The late Master Lee wanted to get away from what everyone else was doing I supposed and wanted something unique to HIS taekowndo organization. It's still traditional. Some karate styles shat this same form also.
Even as a person who practices multiple martial arts I think that all martial arts should be respected it's a very big I've learned a lot I cried a lot I've been defeated made victories Concord things I thought it would never be able to do
I wonder what this form is called in taekowndoe? It's interesting that some karate styles have this same form. I was taking Okinawan style karate for a few month and this form is called Taikyuku Shodan. It's not the only one but it's interesting how they kept it in some taekwondo styles.
Shotokan is not Karate. Karate is not Tae Kwon do. Shotokan was the earliest form of martial arts like karate, Karate was BASED off of shotokan., Similarly, TaeKwonDo is BASED off of Karate.

I am testing for my black belt, and this is one of the required forms. Thank you!
A yes my memories 12 years ago
Very helpful, very basic thank you. Thinking of returning to TKD after being out of it for 4 years.
I was doing this in ‘85! As a 7 year old. Good times.

What style of TKD is this, and what’s the name of this form? That’s how I remember my white belt form looking.

Because of your comment I had to find the ata form and wow yes there totally different never knew that
@@metalrobot3000 I wonder why there's a difference. I bet ATA is more on the commercial/franchise instead of traditional art.

We did it with consistent down blocks that crossed the hands before the block. Here he does that sometimes and not others.

I'm joining and this is what I'm scared to do ......I don't know if I will do good
It’s something you WILL be good at because it’s a discipline
Excellent packtice ❤❤❤
do you need to learn the 10 basic motions ?
Huh. Guess its the same nomatter where you learn. I remember this from the mid 90s
It gave me memories of me at white belt now I'm at black belt
Thank you 🙏🏾

I'm still confused is WTF and ITF is same?
no they are different organizations and have a couple differences
Well WTF is the olympics style, which is counting TaeKwonDo as more of a sport. ITF is more of a self-defense .
Perfect
Same as tang soo do
That’s exactly what I was struggling with in class making me so upset that I insist on private lessons
where is this school located?
skokie illinois
Isn’t this Shotokan?
Shotokan is Karate. Taekwondo was influenced by Karate. That's why there's a lot of resemblance. Taekwondo has greater emphasis on kicks than Karate.
Yes
Not it’s taekwondo I learned it
Shotokan are the influencer of TaeKwonDo, but TaeKwonDo move away from Karate by maximazing its kicking.

Oh my god
Do I even have to scream at a specific second?
I’m sure I need a SPECIfIC PITCH TOo
Yep..every move is specific, even the yells..
I'm watching this and this I noticed that the way I was taught was different but I have my color belt tommorow and I don't know the form 😭😢😢😭😭
Kidding 😂😂😂 I'm nearly green belt at ITF (International Taekwondo Fediration) I'm green tag.
Oh... so if I join taekwondo I know first form..
Shotokan karate is yes.
(I do shotokan karate, this is taikyoku shodan in shotokan karate.)
kichu hyung ilbu
I have the white belt

I get the feeling it would suck to be punched by this guy.
Ya getting "lightly" kicked by him sucked even more. My chest hurt a bit and I was holding a pad.
