Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I don't think it matters if it's AM or PM when moving the hands to set the day/date complication. I simply always move the hands to a 6 o'clock position. And some manufacturers instruct not changing the day/date if between 8 and 4 for example. Always refer to your the manual to be certain. Thanks for posting.

Hi, just a question, I own a PRX Powermatic 80, and when I turn my crown in the clockwise direction ( away from my body ), the movement moves backwards, does that mean that when people say turn clockwise, they meant the movement itself or the crown ? Because for me, turning anti-clockwise will then make the movement moves forward.

I'm not sure I fully understand your question, but I am referring to turning the crown in the video. Hope this helps.

@@brentmillertime8778 Sorry for the confusion, let me try to explain it better. If I turn the crown on my PRX 80 clockwise direction, the hands movement would actually move backwards, so in that sense, I should be turning my crown anti-clockwise, so the hands movement goes forward ( clockwise direction ), is that correct ? When people say to always set the time clockwise direction, they meant the hands movement direction itself ?

We often have first time watch buyers visit our store and thought it would be appropriate to begin putting out some "how to" videos for our customers to reference. If there is a video you'd like to see please let us know.

So I bought my first automatic watch from a German microbrand company called Lilienthal Berlin. It has a date window located at the 6:00 position of the watch. The crown was already in the 2nd position right out of the box. When i clicked it in, the second hand began ticking, didnt even have to wind it. Now, the watch was set at I believe 2:55 pm and the date window was already on the desired day. I changed the time forward until i reached midnight, the date window changed to the 26th, and I set the hour hand at 5 am, out of the bad time window and began messing with the date again. Changed it back to the 25th, then set the time to the correct hour which i think was around 7:30 pm. At around 11:30 pm, i noticed my watch already changed the date to the 26th. That is a half an hour before midnight give or take. Did I mess up the movement? Or is it possible that my watch changes dates very early?

@@Headbanger9000 That's been known to happen with some movements. Can't speak for yours directly but not unheard of.

@@brentmillertime8778 ok thanks, i hope youre right. I have a quartz movement chronograph watch from the same company that has a date window. That changes over completely at 12:05 on the dot. I kinda expected the automatic to change between 10 min before or after but not a half an hour
