I just love how it speeds up gradually during the song. If you ask me, it's what gave the drowning theme that "Time's running out" feeling to it, and hearing it integrated in this makes it feel like you're making a break for it as a demonic entity is on your tail, but your efforts were all in vain, as you run out of breath, no more strength to continue on. He's finally caught up to you. Your fate is sealed, for YOU'RE TOO SLOW!!!
I want BF and GF to get more scared throughout the song. Like, as it starts, there like "please, we beat this guy before", only for them to progressively realize that he isn't fucking around.
A mod idea I had in my head while listening to this:
GF and BF were walking through the Green Hill Zone and found their idol; Sonic T. Hedgehog, as they walked to him; they asked him for an autograph. "Hey, Sonic! Can we have your autograph?" GF asked, with two photos of the hedgehog.
He responded, slowly turning his head "I'm sorry kids, but I don't have a pen! but I'm free for a little game, make it fun."
BF and GF understood, BF asked him for a rap battle,
"Bep beep bappity beeeep boop skebap be beep bap beep de bop beep beepaa beepaa beepo boop, skdoo bappity skbep beepaa boop beep skebap?"
(he said "Can we do a rap battle, instead?")
Sonic slowly turned his head again, but so he could clearly 'see' the two. "A rap battle, eh? Well.. I suppose that works, too."
As Sonic was singing, BF thought there was something really strange about Sonic, keeping his eyes closed and spitting some bars without a mic? weird...
Just as GF set the music to match the note speed, "Sonic" turns around, and charges at them; Showing his true colors followed by his iconic laugh.
BF and GF runs (or) flies away as fast as they can. (Boyfriend Holding Girlfriend and running away or Girlfriend in demon form holding Boyfriend and flying away)
EXE starts in being far away and off the screen. (BF + GF having the head start)
The more you miss/as the song progresses he slowly gets closer to the couple, and as he's getting closer they start to get more scared.
In the middle of the song, B + G immediately stops with EXE in front of them, as he's about to attack BF throws multiple mics at his face (Spam the Spacebar) and turns around and flies/runs off.
(Cut Scene) EXE, getting angry, fell to the ground, laughing "Ohohoho, You two think you're so smart? Tails and Knuckles, Heh, And even Robotnik thought they were so smart trying to escape me. But I'm gonna catch'ya... I AM GOD!" and does his iconic laugh once more.
EXE got up, and charges at the couple, BF + GF even more scared than before, ducks down/flies up and EXE grabbed them, Opening his mouth with a hand slowly reaching the couple from within. BF shoved a mic in the hand, forcing it back inside the God and the couple turned around, speeding off.
(Cut Scene) EXE lost his grip, as he went to an immediate stop, he yelled "YOU LITTLE RUNTS! YOU TWO ARE P*SSING ME OFF! WHY CAN YOU TWO DIE ALREADY?!"
As the drowning theme begins, EXE rose up once again, going faster and faster, changing the note's speed. GF and BF started to panic, trying to go faster than him.
At the end of the song BF and GF tripped and fell off the cliff with EXE roaring with anger.
(Cut Scene) GF fell and landed first whilst BF followed by landing on top of her, as they got up, Bf and Gf slowly got up and tried to run, but they quickly started to get tired, with EXE not to be found "Where do we go now?.. We cannot stop running for.. much longer.." Gf asked, out of breath. "Skdoo skebap be bappity' beepaa bip bappity be beeeep, bop bopo beepaa beeeep boop' beepo beepo boop skbep bep beep de boop beepaa beepbop skdoo skbep, skdoo beep skbep skbep bopo bap boop baaaap be bopo..." BF responded (he said "I don't know, but we'll escape this, I assure you...")
As the song ended, EXE appeared behind the couple, BF and GF turned to look, and they tried to run, but they couldn't run due to the fall. GF cried "Help! Please, Anyone! CALL 911! PLEASE! ANYONE OUT THERE?!"
"Aww, Poor you! Nobody's here to help you two, they're all dead.. But now that you can't run, your fate is sealed, for... I. AM. GOD!"
The hedgehog grabbed the couple, and as the screen fades to black, you could hear BF and GF screaming, being torn apart by the God they mistakenly played with.

Too Slow was already pretty good, but THIS? The added parts of Hill Act 1 at the beginning are fantastic, and the fact the tempo keeps getting faster and faster throughout makes this feel much more dire and more like a fight for your life against Sonic.exe. This revamp is perfect.
I think is not hill and its "..." (eggman level) hill song is "..." song but reversed

My guess by the "Encore", going off sonic mania, is this won't replace the existing Too Slow (Or at least there will be another different version for the normal one.) and "Encore" will be remixes of existing songs, probably harder variants.
But either way I'm excited to see this in action, this is really great!

Happy 1 year anniversary to Too Slow Encore. This has been my favorite song for a long time now, despite it being outdated and could be fixed up even more. This is the only song that I've never gotten bored of. Every other song (FNF or not) faded on me relatively quick. Hope to see more songs similar to this from Saster and Mar!

It's a good remix, but I never considered this song outdated. it was quite simple, but at the same time tense, catchy and somewhat creepy - perfect for the intro song. Encore, however, sounds different, it is no longer as creepy , but now more elaborate. I hope that the old version will also be available in the mod

Honestly, with Too Slow being 7 months old, having no changes whatsoever throughout, it seemed like it was inevitable for it to have a revamp. Execution did with Cycles, and Endless did with Endless 2.0, this is such a good remake and it makes me wonder if You Can't Run or maybe even Triple Trouble could get a revamp (I highly doubt it, it really doesn't need one but who knows).
In V2, the bg for the song and Sonic's sprites were changed and he was given animations, so something did change.

this is fr awesome, im sad that the mod got canceled and that the start with normal sonic voices was removed but still this is awesome
The only thing I feel like this is missing is a slower "Build-up" to the fast part of the Song, Sure in the Original it was around 30 seconds of SUPER slow music, So you don't need it to reach lengths like that, But the beginning of this sounded SO GOOD I just wanted it to slowly build up more till it reached Sonic.Exe's laugh.
But this was freaking AMAZING otherwise! Straight up sounds like a "2.0" version of the Song, And it's done so expertly! xD
Sonic.Exe's laugh sounding more distorted then usual is a nice touch as well!

my take on how this song would go
0:00 song starts out with bf and sonic.exe in hill, sonic.exe having his arms crossed and eyes closed
flash at 0:43 would be a split second where sonic.exe’s eyes open and he grins a bit, then the angel island fire transition covers up the screen until the laugh where it shows .exe laughing
0:58 tails’ corpse appears on one side
1:09 knuckles corpse enters too
1:21 eggman’s corpse is now here
1:33 the screen would show that text after you beat a characters story in the original.exe game (“so many souls to play with so little time wouldn’t you agree” for example) and read “I’m gonna get you”
1:35 the screen would become black again and it would say “i am god” but the words would be splashed onto the screen in blood as he says them
1:40 it’s taken back to gameplay as he laughs and they’re in scrap brain zone now
2:04 blood would be all over the floor

Too Slow Encore was perfect. This version of too slow really puts it on par with the rest of the songs, dare I say make it better than some of em. Saster you and Mar did an absolutely fantastic job on this one, even if it isn't going to be put to use any time soon. Bravo.

Joseph was right after all, we weren't ready for this banger right here, honestly it's really good. i like the detail of this version showing a "normal" Sonic on his first turn, but then on his next one he just drops the act and shows what he really is, although, Sonic's normal voice is still in there, and you can notice it if you put enough attention.
3 days later edit: And also, even in the first turn, when the 'normal' façade is on play, you can still hear Sonic.exe's voice. then, maybe I'm just not listening properly, but it seems like the more the song goes on, the normal Sonic's voice starts to slowly fade more and more, until, by the end of the song, you can no longer hear it. I think that fade starts right after the "I am God" line, but as I said, maybe I just didn't listen to it
also love how the intro doesn't last more than 20 seconds like the original one, it was cool, but personally it was kinda boring to be waiting a whole 20 seconds for the song to actually start
and by the thing you mentioned at the end of the description, the motive of why this cover had the Encore on it's title, idk, but i may have a guess. maybe it means to the fact that these Encore songs are gonna be like an extra, more difficult mode of the regular ones, being in a separate select tile on the main menu, just like the Encore mode was in Sonic Mania Plus, just with the slight difference that (maybe) this one isn't a continuation of the original mode, or of it's story, like Encore was on Mania
I do hope this Encore version is indeed a harder remix of the main 3 songs, I would love to see a harder, or extended, version of Triple Trouble, the normal one is really fun to play, so a little more of a challenge would make it more fun, or atleast for me
leaving that aside, glad you could get your turn on the spotlight for this awesome mod, and i hope you can contribute to more Encore versions of the songs, if they actually do more of them

Thankfully from what it sounds like they actually used how old sonic.exe would act like normal sonic sometimes. This is even more of an amazing song, cannot wait to play the remastered too slow now.
The fact that Sonic is singing in the beginning and later revealed that it was Sonic.EXE is already perfect.

*2.* Sonic.exe chasing BF (BF is jogging) while they sing 1:21 so that the "Im gonna get ya" part have more sence
*3.* BF and Sonic.exe go faster 1:44
*4.* BF legs do the spin thingy cus he is going fast while Sonic.exe goes more closer to him 1:54
*5.* Sonic getting extremly closer like almost touching BF 2:22
*6.* BF goes into the giant ring at the end of every level escaping Sonic 2:55
how they made too slow sound better than endless is something we may never know, but idc, this is fire
If this is the too slow encore, imagine what they’re gonna do to the other songs

This is amazing. The long build up in the original was my least favourite, but this fixed it while still keeping it kinda.
Also Sonic.exe pretending to be sonic in the beginning sounds awesome, as well as the harmonies within the fast parts of the song! cannot wait for the release!

Going back to this after checking out the 3.0 build, I have no idea why they cut the ‘real’ sonic part off of the start, would of made for a great reference to the original game having sonic.exe pretend to be sonic at the start. Eh, whatever, perhaps it would of been cooler when finished.

The 3.0 build was most likely made before the faker xeno sprites were fully made and just so it matches they replaced the first turn with normal xeno
Its either that or its an old version

i can just imagine how this would play out as a mod.
BF would be in green hill zone, behind sonic, who has his eyes closed.
BF starts to sing and so does sonic.
It goes like that for half a minute until Sonic opens his eyes and turns around. Green hill zone turns to hill zone from sonic.exe. Sonic.EXE laughs and the second part of the song begins.
I think this is a cool idea for a minimod of sorts.

Damn, thus is such a good remaster. I'm guessing the opening cutscene will be changed slightly to compensate with the opening of the remaster. But I love the new references. Having exe start of as sonic to trick bf as a reference to the og creepy pasta, getting more into the point of the song faster, having the song go faster and faster to reference the tension of the drowning music, ANGEL ISLAND ACT 2 HALFWAY IN OMG. This is such a good remaster and I'm glad you did a collab with MarStarBro.

Holy shit this is amazing! You added so many little details and callbacks to the original creepypasta game, like how sonic sings at the beginning instead of exe, almost as if he’s trying to fool boyfriend, all the while you can hear him quietly singing alongside Sonic, to BF finishing off the starting section by singing the final part of the music that plays in Robotnik’s stage in the original creepypasta game, to the music swapping to Angel Island Zone Act 2’s music toward the end, its all so detailed and you could tell that not only did the composers show a lot of love to the original story and its game adaptation, but classic sonic as a whole. The extra emphasis given on the drowning theme throughout the entire track alongside the addition of more sonic sound effects such as the spikes and rocks shattering was a great choice, giving you a sense of urgency and fear, knowing that while you may be able to outrap the hedgehog, you can’t run from him forever. You guys took a track that already was already excellent and made it even better, all the while showing love to the source material through small details and musical motifs. Great job to the both of you! 👏
