@Kraig Adams , You mentioned Ruby's place as "the worst place". Being European it's a little bit difficult to understand. Is it high crime place or something else ?
Some people look for a beautiful place, others make a place beautiful. This is how we feel watching your wonderful video....thanks for sharing dear!!!!
Beautiful hikes, love that area. I do miss the background music to go along with amazing scenery however...does anyone know why Kraig has changed his way of film making?
@@Meraxes6 totally understand that. I just like the mix of the two separate audio's playing off of each other, its probably because I constantly like to have a "soundtrack" to my daily life but I get where some people enjoy just the simplicity of the natural sounds while out on the trail; like the crunch of the footsteps or catching the random conversations others are having as they pass by his camera.
Too many other You Tube hikers blast music into their videos which I find distracting. I will often give them a “dislike” because of it. Kraig Adams is the best and I hope he will always record just the natural occurring sounds on his hikes. Why don’t you mute the video and play your own music to his hikes?
@@WannaKamaka I feel that way as well with a portion of you tubers but I always felt that Kraig had a good balance of music and ambient background audio. Don’t get me wrong I like the way he has been doing videos I was just curious as to why he changed his style just a little bit. Your right though I could definitely just put my own music in the background as I watch his creations, good idea!
People's voices sure carry in the canyons, just like over the surface of water. Great video, amazing colour! Cheers from Vancouver, British Columbia Canada.
Another great trail to hike beautifully put together, thank you very much for sharing Kraig! The refreshment break at the car looked like a little relief from all the dust and all the people around (seems a bit crowded, but still beautiful). Bryce Canyon National Park is on my list now, thank you so much for inspiring me. Have a wonderful day. Best wishes, Mario
I love the ramblings at the end, probably my favorite part! If the bus system is running you can go from Sunrise or the Beginning of Fairyland and hike all the way to Bryce Point and take the bus back. In between the edge of Navajo Loop and Bryce Point, there is a significant drop off in people which is nice. You can also leave a bike at the top of Bryce point and ride back down, which is what I ended up doing, makes for an interesting view of the park both on foot and two wheels!
I looked up your sun hoodie and found one for women. Best purchase I’ve ever made for a hiking shirt!! Fits well and the price is AWESOME for the quality.
No better recommendation than these videos. Thank you for sharing your Utah experience, we will definitely be headed for these trails. Huge congrats on your upcoming nuptials and relocation plans. See you on the trails. High 🖐🏼 Five!
Although this was a much more populated hike than what you would usually show on this channel, I really liked it! Becuase you didn't hide the fact that this was a more touristy area! Instead it became part of the storytelling. I do wish, though, that you will keep exploring less populated routes as it does provide that special Kraig Adams vibe to it - the isolation, minimalism, and great background music.
I’m very excited for you guys! Congrats on getting engaged and congrats on moving to Denver. My fiancé and I are moving to Denver as well next month and we are excited the the wonderful hikes it will have to offer. 😁
Hey Kraig.. Hello From India I was so surprised to hear my mother tongue from 0.52sec to 1.04 "Marathi language" Your videos puts us into some deep meditation.. Thank You for the Masterpiece that you create everytime.. Cheers👍🏼☁️
Love the video. Brings back memories of going to Bryce Canyon. I’m not as big of hiker as Kraig but found the trails to be very enjoyable with awesome views of the Hoodoos. Love watching videos if I’m feeling stressed. They really help chill me out. Also if I’m remembering correctly the Hoodoos where formed by the freezing & thawing of water.
I just got back from there a week ago and the places that you walked on in the beginning were filled with snow. The snow was above that little wooden fence you see to the left side at 0:42. So beautiful but couldn't really go on any hikes as we didn't have spikes. It was stunning though. The snow was so high that it made it more dangerous because it was above the fence and railings at certain parts. I really want to go back
I did Bryce when a blizzard was going on. They closed the park and sent the employees home. I still camped and I was the only person there. The next morning I had the entire park to myself. I did most of the trails you did and maybe a few more. I got some great photos
I was in Bryce in late November 2020. Arrived in Bryce in the late afternoon and there was no snow anywhere. Spent 2 nights at the Lodge and it snowed during the first night (probably one of the first snow fall of the winter) and I had an amazing early morning sunrise hike in the snow, it was glorious. Was surprised by how much colder than Zion it was though (where I spent the 3 days prior). Inspiring video as always Kraig!
Love this location. Was just there a couple weeks before you, high temperatures were below freezing, ice everywhere. So beautiful! Got some beautiful pictures of hoodoos with the Milky Way in the background.
Morning Kraig :) Ok, I'm a bit of a different story, but in a similar style. Travel to travel! And music is music. He is with you, he is with me. I like this! And the most important thing. We have a passion that some will not take from us! Greetings from faraway Ireland - Travel with Lazy Foot. You will come to me when you have time for a good rest and fun. Peace, Cheers 🇮🇪👣
Hello Kraig, I'm Patrick and by chance I came across your UA-cam channel and I'm impressed by the material you make. I do the same as you but at a basic level. Here in Chile I do my hikes in national parks and ascents to the summits of volcanoes. for example to volcano sollipulli, villarrica and lanin among others. I also want to congratulate you because I think you feel the same way I do about nature, the spirit of freedom and various emotions.
I was just at Bryce last week on April 1st (just missed you). We hiked Sunrise Point down to Queens garden to Navajo Loop to Peekaboo Loop and back up to Sunset Point via two bridges. We looked at Fairyland and chose Peekaboo loop instead (so glad we did) - Peekaboo loop is utterly stunning and hardly anyone on the trail. Peekaboo's terrain looks more interesting than Fairlyland's views, but I will have to hike that one for sure. Bryce really surprised me, my expectations were not that high, but my family preferred Bryce to Zion, Grand Canyon, Horshoebend and Antelope slot canyons. Best hike I've ever been on in Bryce- Highly recommend. *NOTE- the main short loop is very crowded, but once we got on the Peekaboo loop which was around a 4 mile loop from the Navajo trail trail head, we literally only saw around 10 other people the whole way around- far less populated and gave you time to enjoy the scenery in isolation.
Kraig dude. You are the reason I got into making vlogs. Absolutely amazingly filmed vlogs that have a real relaxing atmosphere to them. Keep up the good work. Greetings from Ireland ☘️. Martin, SoleTrail
Kraig great video and the scenery never disappoints. My first visit to Bryce was in the summer and it was Hot. I started the hike downward from an overlook, after 30 minutes in the hot sun I started the hike back up to the car. The hike back Up was brutal Note to self visit the park in late fall.
Good video , thanks for sharing , I also take landscape videos in UK and sometimes abroad .It's very helpful. I subscribed to the channel, so I'm looking forward to it. Thank you for the good video
We hiked the Fairyland Trail starting at the rim. This route was better in that the incline wasn’t as bad at the end. The trail was beautiful and very quiet. We went at the end of June on a cloudy day. It was thundering and we got a little rain. To me, it was better than the hot sun which can be brutal that time of year.
Saw you …turn around at 6:50 …Lol! 😂🤪😉👍 Nice video …love to see the snow there …we were there in September so no snow for us in our videos . That was some good explanations you give there . We definitely would love to see this place again . Have a great day Serge From Hélène & Serge channel in Canada 🇨🇦 H&S 👩❤️👨🌈
I went last Monday and did the Navajo to Peekaboo loop in the morning and then Fairyland loop ccw in the afternoon which it has a moderate rating but it turned out to be a brutal hike at that point, especially the last miles on the rim that felt like it wouldn't end. I was rushing to the car before sunset, did almost 16 miles altogether. Definitely didn't take away from how beautiful this trail is and a better view of the park with barely anyone around.
Nice! I was in Bryce Canyon back in mid-Feburary. Did the Navajo Loop Trail. Definitely check out the Peeka-Boo Loop trail there as well. It's a pretty amazing hike through all the hoodoos.
The views are super nice and obviously appreciated but the end where you go threw your thoughts what gear what route and so on is more important for me, i hope you keep adding them at the end.
Incase you didn't/ don't look it up: Bryce Canyon's hoodoos were/ are formed due to millions of years of erosion from snow, wind, and ice/rain. Due to the consistent melting and freezing of water, softer and harder rocks tend to separate.. not sure if someone already said this so my b if this comment is redundant
Kraig--beautiful video as usual! You did seem to get away from people and more by yourself on the Fairyland Loop, though maybe not so much on the others. I read several years ago that of the people who go to visit national parks, 95% only go to the immediate area of the visitor's center. Of the remaining 5%, 3% will do a short hike some distance from the entrances, and 2% will actually do a longer hike into the backcountry. Maybe this is different now with Covid, prices, transportation, increased park attendance, etc.
Hey Kraig, next time you coming to Utah hit me up. There are a lot of non-national park locations that are absolutely stunning and avoids the crowds. I'd be happy to give you a solid itinerary!
Bryce is definitely also one of my favorite parks I've been to in the States. I did the same hikes as you did and really enjoyed the views. And it's always 'funny' to see how many people gather around the viewpoints but only few walk the path! And yeah, with some small rivers would have been nice but my god, when it starts raining, you sure on't want to be there. The path turns into a muddy and very sticky pathway which is really difficult to walk on! I've one question about your AllTrails overview of hikes you would like to do. How did you make this list and how do you let it appear on the map? Maybe worth while making a video just on how you use the app to plan your future trips. Thanks in advance and oh yeah, congrats for your wedding!!!
