- The Aggie Band marches down Main Street, USA at Disneyland in Anaheim, California while playing The Noble Men of Kyle and the Patton Theme. The Fightin' Texas Aggie Band is made up of members of Texas A&M's Corps of Cadets and was in the Los Angeles area for the football game against UCLA at Rose Bowl Stadium on Sunday, September 3rd.
Hands down one of the best marching bands out there. Love being an Aggie

Sooner Jon The Conservative I hate their marching shows, but they certainly make up for it in their skill with playing and the fact that they march so perfectly that you can’t tell them apart

Good band but there are lots of great college bands equally good in the Big Ten.
All members of the band are members of the Corp of Cadets if they have taken ROTC scholarships the will serve in the military to pay them back. A&M has 7 Medal of Honor winners. My son has two degrees from A&M and I was very taken with the care such a big school showed it's students. I love the band, nothing else quite like it!
Love the band and the corps of brotherhood. It is what separates Texas A&M, the Citadel, VMI and the military academies from all other universities.
Please note though that the Medal of Honor is awarded, not "won". It may seem trivial to quibble, but to us former and current military, it is a huge distinction.
Hopefully, in the future, we'll have Presidents form this school.
Crazy how A&M puts more members in the military than west point, given that A&M student body is huge but still, pretty cool
Most of those kids don't go on to serve in the armed forces.
@@dakers2052 A&M is not affiliated with VMI, The Citadel, or the service academies. The Corp of Cadets is an ROTC program which most of its members will never serve a day in the military.

the band is number 1 by a mile. Notice the diversity in the ranks - big, little, tall, short, black, white, brown male and female. They have done themselves well. I love watching them march and play.
I was able to see the Aggies play once many years ago. When I was a young Airman stationed at Bergstrom AFB, I was invited by a friend to watch the Aggies play at Texas. The Aggies beat the 'horns that day. After the Aggies won, they marched from the stadium to the state Capitol and this is one of the songs they played. They marched down Congress St like they were the conquering army.
Fun fact: this is the largest military marching band in the world.
During halftime drill they march with 303 members; for parades the full band (over 400 in my day) marches.

Went to a game at A&M when I was in college ('68 ?) and really enjoyed the spirit Aggies show. Standing in the stadium (you don't sit down during the game!) was a real experience.
Best part was I went as a member of the Texas Tech Army ROTC Corps and Tech won!!
They look and sound fantastic. I can see why they were invited to play at Disneyland.💓🇺🇸💜

A great Band preformance by Aggie's Fighting Texas marching band,the Castle in the back round is based on a real castle in Bavaria in Germany its called Neuwanstein Schloss and it's on top of a mountain 🙂IT'S worth a visit👍

He led 2nd Armored Division ashore during Operation Torch, led II Corps across North Africa, 7th Army in Sicily and led his 3rd Army in the breakout of Normandy, through France and when the allies were trapped during the Battle of the Bulge he pulled his army out of a winter battle, moved them through rough country without rest, sleep or re-supply and broke up the German offensive. Every day, every advance he would ride up to the head of the column in his jeep banging on the side of the lead vehicle telling them to go faster. He would be damn proud of the Texas A&M marching band.

D-Land tradition that visiting college bands play at the park. Back in the day it was usually only for the Rose Bowl (some poor Big 10 team getting killed by SC). Glad to see they have expanded it. They march play and they have the rest of the day in happiest place on earth!

Jeremy Mendoza Sorry, but the Magic Kingdom in Anaheim was designed and built by Walt Disney, and it was he who labeled it “The Happiest Place on Earth”. The Walt Disney World Resort might offer more, but it opened in 1971 - 5 years after Mr. Disney passed. The title is not transferable.

I'm not a Texas A&M Aggie, but there military marching band is the best. No one else is like them.
Correction: they're NOT military. Less than half of the cadets actually end up joining the armed forces. They're an ROTC program.
J Green maybe because it's not a military marching band? Think of a large frat doing cosplay as WWI era soldiers...not a military academy at all.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Most of these "cadets" seen in the band and on television will never serve a day in the armed forces.

The only citation you need is this..
Graduates of military academies have 5 years of service ahead of them. Graduates of Texas A&M have whatever (even including a McDonald's spatula) in front of them, no military service required. It's simply a military dress up fraternity..

That’s because teams like A&M don’t like to come west. In 2013, the Aggies backed out of an agreement to play USC home and home in 2015 & 2016 and in 2014 they backed out of a similar deal to play Oregon in 2018 & 2019.

I did not know that they were agriculture students - I assumed from their uniforms, style and demeanor that they were soldiers.
Im a student from Texas A&M. The A&M stands for Agriculture and Mechanical as the name, but the univeristy have expand into many field nowadays with Engineering and Business leading the unversity. The ROTC program is als a big deal at the university
Back during WW1 and WW2 A&M was basically the West Point of the South

Their uniforms made it seems like they were in the military.

They only brought 255 members of the band with them on this trip. They normally march with 363 members during home games, selected from well over 400 members total.

You know nothing about the Aggie Band or the University obviously. A & M commissioned more officers in world war two than any other University outside of the Service academies, and continues such today. They fought against Nazi aggression. While I was not in the band, I was in the Corps of Cadets and lived on the same Quad area as the band and worn the same uniform. Seven Aggies were awarded the Medal of Honor in W W II for service above and beyond.
