“These instructions suck”
Automatic thumbs up
Your video was exactly what i needed. It is guys like you that make life easier for the rest of us. Thank you
Brother, thank you. Air Force Vet here. You helped my operation.
I bought this exact floor jack last weekend along with daytona 6 ton jack stand at HF. They were on sale. i used this floor kack to do an oil change earlier and it worked as described with no issue at all. It lifted my toyota rav4 with ease. Out of the box the instruction says you need to top off hydraulic oil before use.
do you have to fill it up with oil before use or it just say's that?
If u bleed it right u can get more lift out of each pump on the jack, I unboxed it to day and noticed it didn't work as good as my friends. So I looked up some stuff... just a helpful tid bit
Thanks for the instructional part, I thought mine was broken until I found out about the screw underneath.
I bought the exact jack and it needed hydraulic oil to top off and work properly right out of the box. There were instructions with it on exactly how to do it. When fully filled it lifts a truck with just a few pumps. You could clearly see it barley lifted Vans truck and I believe it needed more oil too. Van thank you for the video as I love my Pittsburgh 3 ton jack and it sure is heavy. That’s good, once it’s on the floor. 🇺🇸👍
@@derfiemcgoo9673 the automotive store has hydraulic Jack oil. Check You Tube for instructions as I don’t recall exactly. It didn’t take more than a couple of ounces to complete the process.
Hello, question, did everythins as you said, it worked 2 times but now has oil leaking… any idea why? And how to fix? Thanks in advance
That’s not good. It shouldn’t leak oil. As I recall I removed the fill plug with the jack down and filled until I could see it at the plug hole threads. If that’s what you did and the plug is tight. It should work Mines still lifting trucks no problems 🤷🏻♂️Sorry your having problems o have pretty good luck with Harbor Freight tools.
Finally a guy who gets to the point and is honest. Thanks
That black plastic piece bent the rod when I didn't realize it was supposed to be taken out
I did the same thing 🤦🏼♂️
Love this guy ! Could talk with him all day and Crack a cold one 🙏🏻
Thanks. 😁👍
Thanks for the review. Finally decided to grab one from Harbor Freight today, still has it for $119 a year later. My old jack wasn't doing it anymore. Any way, you're not kidding about the weight, I know it said 83 lbs, but felt like 100+lbs weight, or maybe i'm just getting old. Advice to all users, every time I use a jack to lift my car, I put the wheels under the carriage in addition to using a floor jack. Just an additional safety measure.
You need to use jack stands too, that’s the most important safety measure, you should only use a jack to lift it, it’s not meant to support it. Just trying to save u brother.
@@parkerfidel6010 I bought a jack and 2 jack stands to do my oil change. Where is it best to put the jack and jack stands?? Should I place the jack in front of the car or on the side??
@@midngthourz9422 you should place your Jack on the front. There are a few places you could put your jacks, but the best place to put it in my opinion is the frame, which is a big thick piece of sturdy metal running along the bottom of your car
@@parkerfidel6010 that’s where I was thinking thanks brother. For the jack stands should I put one on each side of the car or under the actual car??
@@midngthourz9422 yes sir be safe. You need to put one on each side of the car, there should be a frame rail on each side you can put it on. I’d watch a video on how to set it up so you don’t get crushed
I got one too. Works great and need a back brace belt to pick it up
Definitely 😁
A nice block a wood when needed , the jack is unstoppable
Got one like this last Christmas and I'm really glad I did. Best floor jack for the money.
That square piece of paper you tore off the jack @ 0.52 seconds says; "IMPORTANT! You must check the hydraulic oil level BEFORE using the jack!" (or words to that effect). Otherwise GREAT video! Thank you!
Thank you. Received this jack today. The instructions do need revision. Clear they are not. Was having my doubts about this product until I viewed your video. Now, it makes sense.
Thank you
I’m glad this video exists, I was confused about the little black clip and didn’t wanna mess up the jack right out the box
Thank god for you, I’m on the side of the road just bought this last week so it’s it the back i got to set it and the instructions don’t make an sense trying to make you bleed it and need tools I was worried but got on UA-cam clicked on this and within 5 min I had the jack working!!! Thanks man!!! Awesome video from the side of the highway 👍🏽 Your right it does weigh 3 tons my back definitely felt it 😂
Just watched this video... Having the same exact sentiments...I feel like our spirits are akimbo... Felt like we were having a one on one conversation. THANK YOU so very much for this my friend 🫡
Harbor freight is A1 when it comes to tools. I definitely gotta get back over to that candy store for supplies.
Thank you so much for the video! Short, sweet and concise, can’t ask for more than that! Thank you again!
Hey, thank you so much for this awesome video it was exactly what I needed to get my jack out of the box and working! You’re awesome!

Excellent review! I bought one today at Harbor Freight along with four 3-ton jack stands.
Thanks for your video. I just got one today, and I wanted to make sure I understood everything the same way as someone else.
2:14 is what I was looking for as there is no mention of it, thank you so kindly and great video thank you again!!
Perfect video!!! Short and clear! Thank you!!!
Thank you. Was confused there for a second with that screw underneath! 👌
You did explained it better than the instruction manual, who's gonna read all that anyway. Thanks a lot.
Thank you so much I was struggling for so long and saw this video and it was so simple the instructions didn’t help
Thank u so much buddy. !! Simple well detailed n quick. 🙏
Just what I needed. You’re the best man, thank you.
A good and thorough review/demonstration. Hope it's serving you well.
It is!
I just bought one today I was losing hope till I came across your video thank you bro!

My issue was the release. Glad you made the video
Thank you for the help sir!
Thanks for the review and instructions, it really helps
Two years later and they still dont tell you to take out that plastic shipping piece. Appreciate ya 👍
Thanks for demo.
Thanks for this video. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. You helped me alot.
No problem at all. Glad it was what you were looking for. 👍😁
It’s 150 today. You got lucky
Thank you man just got one today
Thank you for the help, sir.
Great tutorial, thank you!
Cool, I have a Maasdam jack from Home Depot looks just like yours. My book did not show where fill screw was. You did and I thank you.
Thank you. Got a brand new one. Didn’t know you had to remove that little black piece above the hydraulic pump. Tried to jack it and it broke. So that’s cool
Bless your soul!! 62 yo granny here trying to 'bleed' the floor jack per the manual I found online without proper diagrams, pathetic! You saved the day! Apparently bleeding it before use is not necessary. I was wondering, wait, I need to first buy hydraulic fluid and top it off before use?? Thought to google youtube and there was this saint from VansWorld! I'll def have to check out your products kind sir! Hoping you have a wonderful life!
I was on the fence. Thanks for the info.
I just pulled it out of its box thanks for the video!
No problem. I appreciate you taking the time to comment. Enjoy the floor jack. It’s a great investment 😁👍
Really informative video . Thank you 🙏🏽
Didn't know there was set screw. Appreciate it.
thank you for this video i just got this jack and im about to do my brakes and i wasnt too sure if i should put some oil in it or not thats why i watched this
I had someone comment and say they had to add some hydraulic oil in their new jack. That’s the bad thing about harbor freight. Their quality control sucks. 👍😁
@@VansWorld Its not quality control its the customer. At 54 seconds You ripped the sticker off the jack and didnt read it. It CLEARLY said IMPORTANT!!!! Remove oil plug and top off hydraulic oil and quickly pump handle several times and recheck the level and if correct replace oil plug. Just saying
Thank you!
Thank you so much!!!!
Thanks for the fast and simple video
Your welcome. 😁👍
Thank you for making this video
😁👍 my pleasure
This was super helpful!

Thank you for this brother I appreciate ya!
Dude thank you!
Thank you for your video. I did not realize I was putting handle in backwards. Agree with you that Instruction manual was poor.
thank you for this video!
Thanks !
You got the same 3/8 impact i got. Love that little guy.
Bought exact same one/color yesterday for $99 at HF. It was on sale.
Thanks for the video!
Your video is Awesome!! Thanks for a great Work!
Very good video! Thank you sir!
Your video was spot on. Just picked one up today for a whopping $109.00 😂. The instructions are terrible that come with the unit. I should know because I write aviation mechanical tech data. Awesome thing you did.
Thankyou Van bro that help me out, I was struggling and getting frustrated with it
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment. Have a good one 😁👍
Saved me a headache. Great video and instructions, the manufacturers are terrible with this stuff 🤣
That is how in instructional video is suppose to be made simple and to thr point. Showing everything from putting it on and what is made for 👍.
Thank you sir for this video. Harbor freight has a deal today $120 for this jack & being I have a camaro on 24inch rims & avalanche on 26inch rims I think based on your video I can use this jack to do my oil changes & rotate tires in my garage. My 2 ton just isn't doing it nomore, but having both will definitely work after watching this. Thanks sir.
Glad I could help Hey have you looked at jerky subscriptions? I just subscribed to one that sends different jerky from all over the USA to try. Click this link to check it out. bit.ly/3p8XCZk
Thank You for your comment and for watching
Right to the point. Bought one too. Thanks.
Awesome thanks. Enjoy the new jack. I have enjoyed mine.
Thanks👍
Great presentation, thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hell yeah thx man 😎
Excellent video - very helpful
😁👍
Great video! I purchased the standard sized one yesterday. However now that you showed that the low profile jack can get high enough to lift a truck, im going to go ahead and swap the regular sized one for the low profile one.
@Max Rodriguez I ended up getting the low profile jack many months ago. I love it!!!
Thanks for the tutorial.
You're welcome!
thank you
Yep, i agree. There was NO instruction on that black piece. I had to unscrew 2 screws to get it out, but while trying to be as careful as i could in case something flys at me. While using both hands to pull the black piece off, the handle lunged straight at me and hit my head HARD, like so hard that i thought my head cracked. I think Harbor freight or Pittsburg should be accountable for my injury!
good informational video thanks boss.
Thank you so much
You're most welcome
Thanks for the video man it helped a lot
👍😁
This was helpful was wondering how to depress it …other jacks there is a bolt to turn counterclockwise to release the pressure
Thank you
Thanks for this bro!
No problem buddy
Very informative 👏 👌 👍
thanks
Thanks boss👍
Lifted grand Cherokee with lockers.
It works great . I think most bang for the buck .
Your video was the shortest and the best.I just got this jack and the instructions are crappy. Thanks for this video.
Very Cool Jack! 😎
😁
