I’ve been daily driving my 33gtst for a year and a half and I love it. Super reliable! And I drive everywhere. I’m in construction and I do take it to job sites
That’s awesome! I drive mine or my R35 daily. They’re as reliable as you make them. lol I tell everyone. Keep it around 400hp keep the oil changed and you’ll be able to drive it forever.
I have a semi built R33 GTST daily for 2 years now. Zero issues. Replaced mostly everything that was old for it being 30 years old. mostly hoses and rubbers. I get 450km on a tank. Its tuned on Haltech and uses 285 35 18 tires. I bet it would see 500+ on smaller thinner tires
@@therivalgarageYeah I'm like at 370whp and it rips. Where I'm from there are no highways 😂 it's enough. Had to do boost by gear cause 14 psi was too much for first to second. Car would always get crazy
Awesome! Even here in Australia they’re hard to daily at times and we’re a RHD market! 34s definitely have the most wow factor out of all of them but I love my tubby 33! It’s very different to the 32 and 34 because it’s rounded versus those two being more squared off designs. Like you I’m tall as shit (6’8”) and the 33 is VERY accommodating for us big freaks! Look forward to you doing a build on the car!
Why yes, yes you can daily a GT-R! I've been daily driving mine for the last 3 years with very little issues! These are great cars when taken care of!!
@therivalgarage also I'm late to the party but we meet st the 405 event where you had the car on display, and it is such a stunning build, definitely sorry that you're going through this horrible journey. I've worked at and with many shops over the years, and it is sad the lack of focus and holding true to word that a lot of shops do.
Highly recommend the Nismo Twin Coppermix clutch. It feels very oem but obviously can handle alot more. Dont get the comp version as its not meant for the street
I don't think its a good daily as the only car, I mainly take out the 33 to drive around or run a quick errand. I appreciate the car more not driving it every day and its more difficult when stuff does break like you said. I had the tach issue on mine recently and I couldn't manage to get it working right doing the fix myself. I ended up sending it off to relentless motorsports to fix, but it was pricey. The skyline shed in aus actually has used clusters you can get already repaired if you ever have to get one. It also depends on the suspension and exhaust setup for how good of a daily the car is. Mine came with a relatively quiet fujitsubo exhaust so theres no drone ever with the car which is nice.
Can daily anything if you have money to pay for it. My 33 is down w a blown head gasket and no one that will work on the head. And I’m in central Florida which has arguably the most jdM shops per square mile than any other state including California. 😊
Its the opposite for me.... My 33 gets all the love when driving it, 32, nothing ever ... ZILTCH , R34 Sometimes some love and some necks turn, But the 33 gets the most average ppl getting excited. I think its the colors tho, our cars are opposite colors basically
@therivalgarage I think part of it comes from when the R32 came out. It dominated the racing circuit. When the R34 came out it was during the dawn of the Gran Turismo Era. When the R33 came out it didn't have much of a racing legacy behind it, R33 came out the same time as the McLaren F1 and the F1's were just dominating everyone else.
I need help. I get mixed reviews from everybody. I see a Nissan skyline r34 With automatic transmission, non-turbo this the engine it has RB25DE NEO would this be good for a daily? It doesn’t have no mods everything in stock. With 61,400 miles
I just filmed a video yesterday about daily driving a 34 GTR. I think that would be a great daily. However, the biggest issue you will run into is the availability of parts. If something breaks getting a replacement part will be expensive and will likely take a long time for the parts to arrive. Just know your car will be cool! But be tragically slow. Take care of it and it will drive forever
@@therivalgarage thank you appreciate it I just want it as a daily drive no boost mods I’m just getting a Widebody and that’s it thank you bro appreciate it keep up the good work

R33 has always been a personal favorite🤟🏼
Totally agree! I love this car

That’s awesome. I think that’s the perfect amount of power for the 33!

Tall fellows UNITE! lol Im really excited to get moving on this build!
@therivalgarage can't wait to see it! Hopefully you inspire me to get cracking on mine again...
Oh that’s good I was looking for some comparison with height for these types of cars as I’m 6’7 haha.

I saw a r34 GTT in the market near me. It's selling for $15k USD (I'm in the Philippines). Planning on getting it and using as my daily.
Sick! I love it!
Buy it before it's gone. Don't sit on it.
I like it, might as well enjoy the car every now and again.
Great review! An R33 has been calling me lately, so I think I've made the choice for my next ride😎
It is the best choice!

Good looking out! We’re about to start the build on this car. I’ll look into it!

Absolutely agree! Like I said. You totally can daily it. But, it’s best if you have another ride!
Bro these are one of my dream cars that might be obtainable 😍
2:39 I thought you were playing with that Ferrari while making this video lol

Yeah man, its so rough. Luckily ive got a really good guy for that.
You need to refresh those headlights! Car looking great though.
Yeah. We’re about to do a whole build with it! So stay tuned!
Oh man! Where did you that wing from? Does it come standard on the GTRs?
Hey! It’s the factory wing that comes on the R33 GTR

Thats true. The 33 does seem to get more and more love. But the 34 when I take it out it’s chaos. Always lol
@@therivalgarage yea my 34 looks liek a silver altima - the conclusion , this is related to paint
Mine is not a fan of traffic or ramps! The Nismo GT LSD makes it interesting parking. Cludunk, cludunk, cludunk 😅
lol! My yellow R32 also has that LSD. All the race car noises!
@@therivalgarage it's incredible on track though so I'll keep it. Sucks when people shout your car is broken 🤣
I don’t get why the 33 gets so much hate
Me neither. I think it’s totally unwarranted. It’s so smooth and looks good! I think as time goes it will get more and more love.

Be a man. Daily Jeff. 😅
I did today! Lol then I brought him home because I needed to drive 45 minutes on the freeway. Lol no thanks
Clean the headlights.
