Thanks for the racking tip to get more consistent shot. I have been racking the handle near the top of the stroke a couple times to create vibration but racking the charge bar is likely a better idea as it also serves to loosen up an jammed shot.
These load up really good. I bought the metal precrimp also it works great. I took the mec out of the box and didn’t have to adjust anything. Makes great crimps. Thanks!
Fiocchi "Golden Pheasant" is my go to for pheasants. 7/8 oz of nickel plated #6 going ~1300 FPS. I was using BP's "Small Bore Manual" and loaded some of their super fast 7/8 oz loads with the SG28II and I was popping primers out of new hulls, the patterns were also blown to hell. I backed my loads back down to 3/4 oz with 25 grains and patterns improved drastically, also zero pressure signs. I am working on a new load to send off for testing the BP's HV28 wad for 7/8. I like that it's a much taller wad.
You've experienced what many of us have with loading BPI loads. Some are a touch hot for sure. 25-26grn of lil gun with the SG28-II wad is a great load.
Hey man just wanted to say I’m loving the videos! I know you’re a huge fan of the small bored but I’d love any 20 gauge if you shoot it and decide to load up some videos of it
The 20ga was the first gun that I killed game with. I've taken many ducks with a 20 also. I've loaded up some 20ga in the past. I may get around to it. Thanks for watching.
I recently tried. reloading Remington sts hulls (28 gauge) in my mec 8650 and the primer isn't seating in all the way. When I reload AA hulls there is no problem . im using the same Winchester 209 primers. same powder wads and shot too. Any ideas ?????????
How dirty is your barrel after shooting that load? Is there a decent amount of unburned powder? I reload win AA with lil gun for my 1 oz loads or longshot for my 3/4 oz. Another awesome video, btw.
It's not too bad. I've seen more unburnt powder in other loads. LiL-Gun has always been pretty clean for me. H110.....whew...that's a dirty one for me.
You may be able to find some empties at a local gun club/skeet range. Also may check online sources like Gun Broker, facebook groups, message forums etc. I have gotten empties that way. Normally though I'm buying a case of the least expensive target shells and shooting them for practice and then reloading those. Thanks for watching.
I am enjoying your videos, glad I found your channel. Great info, especially since I am thinking about relaoding my 28 shells.
Thanks for watching. Get you a press and start your reloading journey.

Always look forward to your videos!

Great load. I loaded 26.5gr as per the Lyman manual with nickel plated 6’s and it worked phenomenally for pheasant this past season.
Great to hear!

I’ll give this a try. Not sure what powder I can get my hands on.

I wish you had a 12 gauge duplex TSS/Steel load video
I don't normally load TSS in the 12......but I may get to that for sure. Thanks for watching.
Hello. Sr. Greate video. Could you do patterning test with buckshots on 28ga? There is no infor about
I have a century-old Greener 28 gauge shotgun, external hammers. The British proof marks indicates to not exceed 5/8 oz. Any suggestion?
Keep them coming 👍
Anychance of doing some 28ga Bismuth loads?
I have some Bismuth on the way.

Not yet, but may be on the way.
