This man hasn't changed one bit since he entered the league, he was always a true professional, never brought his personal life into the game, left his heart on the floor each and every night. One of those guys you love having on your team and hate playing against. Always a Timberwolf, but most importantly, always a Celtic. Karl Anthony Towns, you don't even know what you have right here. The greatest mentor, the greatest friend, and one of the greatest competitors this game has ever seen. GOD BLESS YOU KEVIN GARNETT!
+Tvrtko “TFK” Krizan I am a die-hard Laker fan, but KG is hands down one of the greatest to step on the court. Few people have dedicated their body and soul to the game like he has. Gotta respect greatness right there !
Look at the legacy he’s left behind. Trillions not billions nor millions TRILLIONS of human beings over the years have played basketball over these years but KG is amongst one of the best to ever do it. You can try to exploit a man using his heart but always remember GOD sees everything and while he may let his emotions get the best of him and he has a huge heart at the end of the day he WON. While most looked up in awe. Karma wins everyone and as long as you do things from the heart and our passionate about whatever it is you do in life YOU WILL ALWAYS WIN IN THE END #greatness #elite #legendary
@Andrew Murray Sorry man. Duncan has 5 rings and was the offensive and defensive staple of a franchise in 3 different decades. Garnett is a slight tier below Duncan.
DakaONER94 A defensive anchor, great passer, great rebounder, high tenacity, power forward, he’s far more than what you credit him for. He has his struggles, but he is one of the most smart players in the league.
KG was one of the greatest competitors in the history of the NBA. Not the best EVER but the one that worked the HARDEST. HE is what Ray Lewis is to Football!
Will always be my favourite player. The passion, commitment, drive and leadership he shows on the court is unmatched. Truly an amazing player that we will not see the likes of again.
A generational talent. A rare breed. Kevin embodies the definition of passion and relentless competitive spirit. It was a pleasure to watch him play during the 2000s and joyful to finally see him win that title in Boston. The Celtics are retiring his #5 before the Timberwolves are with his #21. Glen Taylor needs to step up and retire the Big Ticket’s jersey in Minnesota.
Defiantly top 5 maybe top 3 im a huge KG fan I bleed green man celtics nation but I gotta give the best powerfoward spot to the one and only tim Duncan
He's not a PF. I'd say so too, after this years playoffs. Garnett is better in his prime. Awards = nothing in analysis. Duncan has a massive massive advantage to achieve than Garnett. Are you saying maybe top 3 PF? He's definitely, No.2 or No.1.
who ever made this video I want to thank you I'm a Lakers fan #1 but I love basketball no matter what team or player this video is amazing God bless all you
This speech is underrated… I come here every time im feeling down and when he says that losing is driving him to do better i always feel motivated… thanks KG 2:50
The greatest power forward of all time. He played with passion and heart, he had elite defense and could guard 1-5. He had a 3 point shot before the 4-5 stretch era started to develop. He motivated his teammates, he intimated his opponents, and the only thing that drove him was being top and winning. That is a legendary spirit, you can't teach that. Thank you KG, for sharing your energy and passion with the world, it will inspire generations for years to come. You are a legend.

Also kg came straight from high school and was ballin on his second or third year in the league
I'm not posting this to get any form of like or recognition! Just a pure "thank you"! This video drove me out of depression back in 2016 and it's kept me going since! KG's no. 5 just got retired and I had to come back to this video to say thank you!
Grew up in Chicagoland in the 80's, so MJ was for sure my guy... But, i admire the hell out of KG. I see a lot of MJ in him. They just don't make em like these guys anymore. I just don't see that same tenacious, hell-bent on greatness, failure is not an option - type athlete these days.

I'm overwhelmingly thankful for the player and this tribute to him. It really hits me in all the right places I need to be hit every time. In this mans trials and tribulations it's still crazy to me how relatable a lot of life's ups and downs hit all of us in one way or another. When it's game time and I really need it, I find this video, and I remember the first time I watched it, the next times I watched it, I remember watching those games and playing in my own. A burning inspiration, a fire that may at times dwindle but can ignite and never go out. I'm just thankful man. RIP to those we've lost, and thanks to all of those who gave me an opportunity.
KG you're my hero, I remember 2011 or something like that I was watching the finals, I'm from Italy. I was 12 at the time, first time ever watchin NBA, I'll never forget how I fell in love with the Celtics and especially with my hero KEVIN GARNETT ❤️
I don't care he truly the best pf ever pound for pound Timmy got got the rings but kg in his prime could do it all it's sad over the years he starting to become underrated he in my top 5
If you would be a Boston fan you wouldn't even say such a thing. They didn't leave us, they got traded. Big difference and please don't give me the "KG had a No-Trade clause" bullshit. That's ridiculous.
Brandon Lee You said that they left us, but they didn't. But yeah, it's my bad for assuming your one of those people that think he did, I've just heard to many people talk shit about KG and say that he did the same thing as Ray.
No no I got a lot of respect for the two. Even them two getting traded wouldn't change that. But hey look on the bright side, they are in the playoffs again :)
Man oh man, this is my favorite basketball player ever. I loved how intense he was. I cried like a baby when he won his ring. It felt like I won it also.

I swear I balled like a baby with Joy when The Big Ticket won his chip in Boston. Ticket along with Kobe, Dirk, & Duncan are the last bread of the War Time mentality of the NBA. Still got Rondo though :)
Been a fan of KG since his Minnesota days! This is why I love him! Also, this video reminded me of the lost championship in 2009! That 08-10 run should've been a 3-peat or at least a back-to-back! Considering how bad he's been since then, the trainers should've just given Perk a steroid shot, strapped on a tight knee brace & trotted him out there in that Game 7! lol
+Fawad B yeah he didn't play in the post like before but I never blamed rasheed, but I did perkins he was key to our team of he kept him we would have had a run 2011
+Keenan Macklin I do blame Rasheed man for 2010...he was the backup big! All he did that entire playoffs was shoot 3s & jumpers. He came out of retirement to help them win a championship! He didn't do shit though. Perk tore his ACL; they couldn't do anything about that; cuz he was risking his career if he played on it...also I don't think Perk would've made much of a difference in 2011 vs Miami.
watching this some years later so glad he got a ring, he probably could of got a few more if it weren't for injuries, but thats the nba. and probably made him appreciate it more and made that one ring a lot more special
