എന്റെ വണ്ടിക്കും oil pressure switch, clutch slave cylinder, turbo hose (ഉരഞ്ഞു പൊട്ടിയതാണ്) മാറിയതാണ്, gear knob ഇപ്പോൾ upholstery കൊണ്ടു തുന്നി ശരിയാക്കി വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ഒരിക്കൽ coolant thermostat പൊട്ടി leak വന്നു. അത് ഒരു plastic part ആണ്. ചില വണ്ടികൾക്ക് back axle പ്രശ്നം വന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്.

This engine in stock itself is a beast ..have driven it for about 400 kms at a stretch ... To pick one I would say pre facelift 1.6... But won't buy one .. practically it ticks all boxes but still can't digest this design being an ardent lover of sedans .. it would have been sensational if we had a localised kizashi offering with this gem of an engine.. 🙂

I was one among them who rushed to nexa to test drive what was the most powerful “ Accessible “ maruti of tat time… ow boy tell u what the acceleration was insane… I even remember my friend who struggled to keep up with the car in his polo Gt tsi!! ( vw fan boys please pardon me😉) and it is a proper proper sleeper car when tuned….. it is disheartening to see such diesel mills becoming an extinct species ( thanks to Bs6😪 )…. You might say electric is the future but tell u what the feeling tat we get when turbo spool up is a theatre on its own and no electric vehicles could match it I believe

Believe it or not, an early owner of a 1.6 Alfa traded his car for a Alfa 1.3 after a few hundred kilometers of use. His problem was huge turbo lag that prevented him from driving his car out of his garage without burning away his clutch. Apparently his garage was right at the end of a steep slope. I missed the sweet deal by a whisker. :(
